    I don’t have autism but I do have ADHD struggle with sensory overload and am just learning about how my brain works. This was really helpful! Thank you!

      I am currently undergoing tests (not now but in this half year period) and I don't know if I have auytism or add or both, but sometimes I get confused or act all weird when I am under pressure. Then I run away to a bathroom or a private place and start acting like Evan from Bruce Almighty when he reads the news and is ebing controlled by Bruce. It kkind of feels like that. Like someone is controlling me and I am just oncontrollably shaking right now. I hope I can find an explanation because this is really annoying and it is embarrassing if someone would see me (thank god for working from home)

    I experience this loads!!! Especially in Supermarkets, crowded spaces, cafes with loud music and bright lights and colours!! I have spent most of my adult life hiding in various toilets!!!!!!!
    I have found having a fidget cube in my coat pocket at all times helps when I'm out. Thank you so much for this video xx

      I started researching into it because I’ve become increasingly worried I have it. If too much is going on and I’m not distracted by something fun then I’ll get so angry that I’ll start hyperventilating and kicking things.
      Yet I think I’m just crazy.

      Me too! Aeroplanes, Heights, shopping centres, cities, concerts etc. Make me sensory overload I think it's given me c-ptsd.

      I find having a rubber (eraser for the Americans) that I can roll around and touch in my hands helps me a lot. Otherwise I end up furiously playing with my hair and it's a lot more obvious lol

    I think I had my first severe meltdown 2 days ago. I was in a city centre and i was triggered by the crowds, feeling of my clothes and hair, not having a mask, how slowly my family were walking, anxious I’d see someone I knew from my old school, and more stress that I was ruining the mood and bringing everyone else down. I started scratching my face and crying and tried to wait outside shops for them to calm down and I had to walk further behind everyone to not get annoyed.
    The worst part is not having a diagnosis, and everyone else around me telling me that I’m definitely nothing and that I don’t show any signs and that I just ruin things for myself. I’ve reached out to a gp to ask for help but i can’t help feeling scared after what happened and guilt that I’m “faking it”. I really wanted to have a good time and after comments made by my dad that I’m wasting my own life by not enjoying it I’m now conscious of that. I’ve struggled with SH in the past so my issues don’t feel “real” enough to warrant help most of the time anyway, but this time I’m determined to get help :).

      You deserve help and clearly support is needed. Have you considered seeing a therapist

      I'm trying to read into what you're saying here and the impression i'm getting as an onlooker is that you are are very anxious of how you're perceived by your family and peers. It's important to realise that what you're feeling is real, and whatever path you take may result in a diagnosis, or several, or none, or one that changes, or one that just naturally goes away as your environment improves, but ultimately what you're feeling is real and don't let anyone cast doubt onto that. all the best

      @@danielrobert4219 Spot on and I’ve been granted access to MH and been told it’s sounds like general anxiety /BPD. It’s nice that people actually respond and read this 😭❤️.

      I've had it a bit difficult. My meltdowns/sensory overloads got more worse after my grandma's death, no matter if I'm in public or private. This lead to a diagnosis after a lot of Hustle, I absolutely get the situation you're in. My family refuses to accept it too and will probably ever accept but that's a fact that I'm autistic.

      I was diagnosed with a ADD a child. how do you know you don't have autism also?

      @@dianeibsen5994 I was diagnosed with ADHD very young. 2 years ago they slapped on anxiety and depression. Antidepressants have never worked for me, so with this information in mind and some asking around of my early childhood friends and parents, I began to think I might have autism. Currently, my PCP visit in June 7th.

      @@Wizard826 can I ask how old you are? I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression as a child as well. I said disease I meant ADD. I might try to see it some point if I have houses and I don't know.

    Supermarkets are all too much for me - the crowds, the noise, especially the beeps from the check-outs, bright lights and visual overload with all the aisles. Thank goodness for on-line shopping! I always wonder how people can have conversations in coffee shops when there is music playing - all I can focus on is the music and cannot discern what people are saying to me. Thank you for this video and I am really look forward to the video on the sensory diet.

      I’m the same way in stores. It can be pretty intense. I highly recommend you see a psychologist for psychological testing and for help with managing your sensory issues. 💜

    I experience tactile, auditory and visual overload on a regular basis. The tactile one is the worst. I hate sweating. It feels like worms are crawling all over my body, and the way it makes clothing cling is claustrophobic. I can feel disgusted by my own voice if i'm really agitated, and ever since I developed tinnitus, music used to be my go to for sensory neutralising, and i've gone through a horrid life crisis since I can't use music to calm myself down when i'm at my worst. As a musician it also feels saddening that sounds in themselves always more or less hurt, even if that has informed a style of music that other people around me seem to find very soothing. Thank you for continuously allowing me to get to know myself through your videos. You are really doing valuable and meaningful work that is changing other peoples life for the better. I hope you feel that. much love!

      @@arasharfa I can see that. So sorry. I've improved, over the years. I think it can be to do with lifestyle. One thing was I got older - so school became a thing of the past!!! Perhaps, you could think about your lifestyle, if possible. It might help keep you calmer. There's all sorts of mindfulness techniques too, that could be useful.

      Nina Rideout I am doing an autism assessment right now and have been in specialist psychiatry for 7 years since I had a severe burnout. I’ve tried CBT and MBT, to no real advantage, I’m working very hard, I’ve reached a point where I am struggling daily to cope with rage and anxiety attacks. I had the police and ambulance come to my house yesterday because I couldn’t stop screaming. So yes, I need a change for sure

      @@arasharfa Sounds like it's become a serious mental health issue. Hope you feel better soon. Understanding what's going on, is half the battle. I'm sure you'll feel better, eventually. Take whatever support you can! I'm sure this will pass - once you've got a handle on it.

    I don’t have diagnosed adhd or autism but this really helps, usually in school or basically every crowded place I just want to try and find somewhere quiet so I can use my coping mechanisms. I usually experience auditory overloads but the recast come at random and rarely.

    Extremely loud sounds eat at me, but noise in general usually doesn't bother me (unless I'm feeling anxious already). I also feel like that if I can make it known to myself mentally, it helps with the really loud places. Like, I wouldn't go to a firework show expecting whispers (and I LOVE the colors :D). I just feel like if I don't expect it, it makes it that much worse.

    I think I have sensory overloads. Sometimes loud music or things being too close to me hurts my eyes I begin to get very irritable and my nerves go on the fritz. My eyes (near my retina i presume) start to feel very irritated and I have to cover them hard or rub them . Is this a sensory overload?

      Definitely the irritability for me. My eyes are often watery indoors, so much so people in school made jokes that I was high lol

    interoception is a sense I struggle with. I hate exercise because I can feel my heartbeat and my breathing too intensely and it makes me all twitchy because I can’t stop the feeling and it makes me immensely uncomfortable. It’s also something I experience with other people so being too close to people where I can hear and feel them freaks me out

    I've had ADHD since childhood, but the solution at that time was mostly medication centred... I'm learning so much now that I wish I'd known for decades. I don't know if I experience sensory overload or some kind of general processing overload. I know I'm sensitive to noise, certain frequencies, certain textures, etc.. But I'm not convinced that they're the only factor in my overload. I think there's a mental faculty that's running in circles until it crashes. Gosh, it's so complicated. I really want to be able to give my senses and brain effective recuperation time... But I don't know where to start. Maybe I'll start with white noise? 😩 I have a toddler with no pause or mute function!! 😆

    I become ill for hours when I overload. It's so hard to live any kind of decent life - everywhere is so noisy. I also have hyperacusis. This all started with a brain injury. A hearing therapist is working to help me. She had told me that using headphones or earplugs on s regular basis will make things worse. The only thing that helps is to cut out as much stimulation as possible. That's what my brain injury charity advises me. My life is so lonely and narrow now. I can't even be in groups of people as the talking gets me overloaded.

    I experienced sensory overload, when I started school. I had no idea what was going on. Neither did anyone else!! I think it kept being repeated, like what you describe, at the end of your video, which left me no option, but to shut down.
    Thank you for your videos. I'm exploring autism, retrospectively, since no one knew the condition existed, when I was a child. My experience of school caused trauma - because I was stuck there and couldn't get out. I'm getting over that trauma now.
    Autism is pretty new to me. At the same time, I'm trying to build a career, as a concert guitarist. I wanted to ask if you know of any groups or organisations, for high-achieving autistic people. I think I could be described as a savant. Professional music and autism is a tricky combination! I would like to find more kindred spirits. (You can see my music on UA-cam.)

    Thank you for this video! There's one time I was in a shop with my younger brother around Christmas time... I needed to look at the tree decorations and said "it should only be a minute!"... that was my first mistake. People everywhere, flashing lights in darkened spaces, the music was unbelievably loud and I tried to rush around because it was too much. Next you know, I'm having a meltdown and my kid brother is looking after his grown sister. He told me to get somewhere away from the lights and people, he brought the basket and we quickly checked out and left. I'd never had a worse shopping experience in my LIFE! If I had known this was sensory overload, perhaps I could have been better prepared.

    For me the triggers are either touch triggered meltdowns or sound triggered meltdowns. For the touch meltdowns, these are where the majority of my sensory overloads come from, and they get pretty bad. For the sound meltdowns, these happen when I’m socially exhausted and I’m in a place with a lot of noise, which is when I can only hear chaos and they also get pretty bad. I’m not diagnosed with any disorder though, and idk if these are even sensory overloads. I also think I might have ocd, unless I also get visual sensory overload.

    I've sometimes found myself literally "freezing" incapable of thinking or doing anything - especially when I was experiencing something very stressful. I don't feel it coming on, it just happens without warning -and it often took the intervention on another person to get me out it it.

    I have a question that would be really helpful if someone could answer. I am a 14-year-old with ADD/ADHD (whatever you want to call it) and anxiety. I think that I have had sensory overload before, so I'm going to explain it and if anyone would help, it would make me feel a lot better about it. Uhm, so I play soccer, and I am very serious about it, so I always listen to my coach's directions and try my best to perform them correctly. One day, I was in practice and two conversations were occurring in front of and behind me at the same time while my coach was giving directions. I was trying to focus on my coach, but my brain was trying to hyperfocus on the conversations that were being had around me. My brain felt overwhelmed and I tried to step away, but we were in a line, so I couldn't go too far. They just kept talking while the coach was giving instructions, but I couldn't tell them to stop. It felt like a bunch of people were standing in a small circle around me yelling three different conversations across. I felt really horrible and I didn't know what to do and I was really relieved when we finally started the drill. This is just one example and I think it was sensory overload, but I'm not sure. I've had to leave multiple rooms before when multiple things are going on at once because it feels overwhelming and my brain feels like it's about to explode because it's just too much. Idk, so if anyone could help, then thank you so so much!

      Sounds like it to me. Sounds like your brain is having trouble regulating or filtering out distractions and it started to shut down.

    I've gotten sensory overload a couple of times. Usually they happen at busy events or loud weddings, but once it happened when I was at work. Every footstep, every patients' voice, every sound got too loud for me to bear. I requested my senior that I be allowed to leave, because I was finding it difficult to breathe and was about to have a meltdown.
    Whenever it happens, I try to go to a quiet place with nobody around and sit in silence, or call a friend to help me ground. I told my psychiatrist about it and he gave me meds to use in an emergency like that.

    Absolutely!.
    I'm an autistic adult.
    The sounds of people breathing through their mouths, chewing , speaking loudly always trigger me!.
    I also function through day to day life via a structured routine and if that routine is tampered with, I become highly stressed/overwhelmed.
    My hair!.
    Strands of hair found on my clothes after I've brushed it drives me insane!.
    I have to Lindt roll my shoulders, back and chest multiple times a day!.
    When home - petting/kissing my cat helps calm me down.
    Work - sitting alone in a quiet room helps calm me down.

    Look, i don't know if this is sensory overload but here's the story:
    2016, it was my first time to see the fireworks at my home since i always to my grandparents' house and i couldn't hear very well from there, then the fireworks started and it was awful, i never heared a sound like that. I just wanted to cry and be with my mom, i couldn't even see a bomb and i would panic at that moment, but then it ended and i was fine again.
    I don't know if this was sensory overload or because i never adapted my hearing to that, but that's my story.

    This has been happening to me for years! I always thought it was anxiety. Now that I know different, because I have family members diagnosed and notice my quirks are characteristic of autism, I’m learning that I must find my way in the working world. It’s been a challenge 😭💔

    I have PTSD & been taking meds for this for about 5 years. Yet the doctor hasn't picked up on my overload syndrome . now I am talking to them & giving my input to what I am seeing inside myself. Sometimes it takes days or a week to recover. Thankfully I'm beginning to understand this to bring attention to my doctor. How can a doctor understand a individual in a 30 -60 minutes visit if you happen to be ok at the moment of the visit. Thankfully I'm learning how to deal with it & I totally withdraw from everything to recover. Thanks for the video. I will relay this self realization of myself to my doctor to get better treatment

    I’ve had a sensory overload once that I can confidently say that it was definitely that and it was in a lesson I have every week at school and I can’t really remember it too well but everything became really overwhelming and it led to me not talking for a good 30 minutes after it was over
    On a different occasion (I have no idea what it was) my brain was telling me not to talk. I ended up forcing myself to talk as I had to talk to teachers and friends but it made me very uncomfortable and it felt wrong to be speaking at that moment. I still have no idea what the cause was or what it was in general

    I don't think a day has gone by where I don't experience sensory overload... Even the simplest things overload me; for example, switching from hot to cold temperature and maintaining either one...

    Thank you for this video! I’ve been struggling with sensory overload for as long as I can remember! It’s terrible! So this video sure hit home! I also suffer from agoraphobia, so the only way I can manage busy environments without having a panic attack is with my service dog. My way of fidgeting is stroking his ears and head.

    The same thing happened when I was for the first time at my sibling's wedding ceremony and got a meltdown as soon as the wedding theme start playing, couldn't go outside of the building just to avoid this situation because I couldn't handle it. On that day before the ceremony, I was pretty much nervous and had the urge to cry while were crowded but my mom doesn't even understand that I might or not suffer from autism. This thing also happened at school too especially when finishing a year, almost all the time except in the 12th grade. Also, when my mom yells at me I do feel threatened and trying to fight back, it hurts.

    Is it possible to experience them in your own home? I’ve been experiencing what I think is sensory overload when I spend too much time on the computer or sitting on the couch and the sounds from it give me really bad headaches and I lose my balance. Is it SO?

      YES!
      I have a lot of trouble at home but I only just got diagnosed so I am working towards addressing it bit by bit.
      I felt calmer in my body after 5 minutes in a nest swing than almost ever.
      And I have a 'pea pod' for proprioceptive input which is so great I cry in it with relief.
      For me it is a really hard thing is to remember that adding these things are not a luxury but a necessity.

    Thanks for this!! I have ADHD and this is very useful. Sometimes certain pitch of sounds really overload my senses. Or a bright room with lots of people and noise. I need to remove myself and preferably a dark cold room. Usually the toilet and play a few games of scrabble on my phone.

    The problem I have is that I get really easily overstimulated by just knowing there are things around me, I often wish I lived in a completely white room or a padded cell so that there would be less stuff. But even then I’d probably get overwhelmed by the texture or the walls and floor.

    I’ve been becoming more aware of my own sensory overloads. It’s absolutely the worst. My biggest trigger right now is sounds and strong smells (I cannot go into beauty stores for this reason).
    I haven’t been diagnosed with anything, I’m currently on a waiting list. At this point I’ve boiled it down to either a processing disorder or autism.
    It’s so frustrating, I get anxious, my urge to run gets stronger, the sound of someone talking makes me want to scream at them to shut up. Dealing with this is so hard. Only my mom knows and I haven’t told her everything, I described an overload to her once and she told me that I had experienced a sensory overload. Knowing this was a big help but I still feel trapped.
    I’m an adult and I’m scared of being labeled as “childish” or “whiny”. At this point I’m so done with people and anything social, I just want to figure out what the heck is going on with me.

    I think I had a sensory overload today because I was at a restaurant with my family and my brother (who I believe may have ADHD) kept fidgeting, the restaurant was kinda loud, and I had a anxiety induced week with related issues. I just started crying. It has happened more then once and I always cry and get really irritated. It’s so hard to deal with… thanks for the advice, I just needed to vent somewhere

    I do security in a busy city and lately I’ve been having to hide in the bathrooms or coffee shops because it’s just to busy in the world. I also have really bad ADHD and don’t know how to bring it up to my boss...

    I have unusual sound sensitivity in that I hear way above the normal range of human hearing. I have been a piano tuner most of my life. Piano tuning demands that you focus on one particular frequency out of a complex pattern of overtones. This takes a lot of concentration. Like many Aspies, I can't have music on unless that is what I'm listening to. I can't have it as background, and I can't have a real conversation when there is music playing. So today I was tuning a piano in an old age home. They had classical music being piped through speakers. I asked them to turn it off and they said they couldn't, and they didn't. There was also an elevator next to the piano that created loud white noise, and the hall was so echoey that I could hear everything everyone was saying for thirty feet around me. I had tuned this piano four other times, so I knew I was in for an unpleasant experience. It was both unpleasant and exhausting. I had to go over everything twice, because it was so hard to hear that I made some bad mistakes the first time around.

    I remember when my classmates started using Deodorant. Many of them were so painfull. It Really hurt. I know now, why school Was so stressfull for me. It was loud, and full and chaotic. But i still feel sorry for many things i said. I just think nobody understood why i didn't like the smell of Deodorant or why a loud class room Was so stressfull for me. Sometimes i wish i could go back in time and explain myself. And explain myself to myself. Because i didn't understand why nobody felt the same way i did.
    I don't know. It's very weird to think about this so much. But i just wanted to share it. Maybe someone feels the same way.

    I may have Adhd, it runs on both sides of the family, both my siblings have it, and I display a lot of symptoms. I had a sensory overload yesterday, they have increased due to school (hybrid school) and stress.

    often.. oils help. And chemicals being removed. Though I did have to see it (several times) to believe it..finally I helped My son.. he is 12 now..

      Yeah. I can't stand the sounds of my children whining, crying, or even laughing loud and being really loud in general, especially when I'm right next to them. Bathtimes are horrible. There is a rule, no screaming in the bathroom!!!. I also can't stand the sounds of my husband eating and drinking. 🤣 Sometimes I simply get up and leave the room or go outside for some peace and quiet.

    Great video! You brought some great tips presented crystal clear. Im curious where did you come up with the name "Purple Ella" for your channel? Is Purple the name of your last name? I notice you also refer to your dog as "purple puppy" or your couch as "purple couch" and your husband as Mr. Purple. I think that is kind of interesting. Is that their real names? Purple is one of my favorite colors.

    So I have really bad overstimulation issues which leads to sensory overload, its caused by my anxiety mostly. The problem is that I have other issues that I cant get help for because my family doesnt care. So now I have really bad anger issues, and it causes overwhelming aggression and annoyance from being in a loud place too long or hearing someone sneeze super loudly because I have sensitive hearing.

    I'm doing well with my autism now because I've learned to live with it finally. When I go anywhere like school or family visit, was it two hours or over night, I always bring my headphones, earplugs, tablet, sunglasses and maybe something to sew/crochet/knit. My fidget is to do crafts with my hands. People always seem weirded out because I have to carry a bag but it's my emergency kit. If I don't have them and something happens, I may not be able to control myself and hurt somebody mentally.
    I have realised now in summer that I'm really light sensitive outside the house. I use sunglasses with a large hat but still my eyes hurt and I get easily migraines. I still have to get my dog to walks so I can't hide inside. Do you have any suggestions how to help it?

    It is good to hear somebody speak of the other three of the five senses such as proprioception. Most people seem to think we only have five senses. I have a problem with sensory overload. Even a ticking clock is too much for me and prevents me from falling asleep. So I have a digital clock instead. Also, doors, cupboards, footsteps, and vibrations, strong smells, and people invading my personal space to touch me without permission are a problem for me too. I think we aspies are true humans. Our technologically advanced society has become an artificial construction because no matter how far back you go in history, humans have always required personal space. They say it is about 1.5 meters between humans. Also, I have just returned from two job interviews, the first one had loud music which I had to listen to for about thirty minutes while waiting. I hated it. It increased my nervous energy, so I decided to take a long walk to my second interview to calm my nerves. It was just what I needed.

    There was a Christmas parade once, music, bright lights, lots of people but with all the that i felt extremely overwhelmed and wanted to cry and i had to stand behind from everyone that were lined up near the road to watch. Sometimes id cover my ears, it sort of helped.
    Does this count?

    I think I struggle with sensory overload. It feels like my brain has turned to mush. I would keep my head in a freezer for a while if it was possible. Anyway, for me, not only social/crowded places like a supermarket but also any problem where I need to think critically can (sometimes) trigger sensory overload. I would be happy to hear if this is actually sensory overload or something else, and what may be done about it

    I have verbal mild to moderate autism and since I play video games a lot, one in particular caused me to have a sensory overload from all the bright colors to the loud music going on in the background, causing me to have to quit the game entirely as I stayed in the bathroom for over an hour to calm down and take a break.

    I enjoy car rides but I have to have my window down because I don’t like feeling trapped and also it gets so “still” or boring. The cars and stores and nature gives me different things to look at. But my family doesn’t like the windows down, so when they’re rolled up and the music is playing along with 1-2 people talking I just get super anxious and irritated. I can’t focus I can’t think, I can’t breathe right and I just feel like jumping out the car. This happens many times and also in stores or back in school or parties. Any gathering really. I have adhd/social anxiety. I love being around people, I like socializing. But I get too anxious and overwhelmed as well

    The only thing which even though l do it is that you talk to fast my father was often saying to me slooooow doooown that is how he said it at least 3 times all at once ...he still does it 20 years later and he has no idea why l do it l tried to tell him but he is strait on to the next topic its hard work with him .

    I can panic sometimes during loud spaces
    For example I went to a bowling alley today.....it was super loud and I was very anxious. I had to have my friend help me get to the bathroom cause it was quiet there
    Also sometimes when I'm aware of my surroundings I get very stressed from my clothes tingling and my hair is brushing against my skin.

    I seem to suffer from auditory sensory overload. Sounds like scratching cardboard and screeching metal are bad but loud places like conference halls, wedding events, and pubic pools with kids can feel like a living hellscape for me.

    I had it really bad earlier tonight my husband took me out to dinner and I couldn’t take it too much talking and sounds of silverware I couldn’t eat I was so irritated and shaky I felt a sense of calm once I got home and was in the quiet of our room

      My boyfriends currently in the next room with music blaring and playing his guitar while Im in the next room trying to calm my irritability, understanding it’s just sensory overload (mines worse after a day of masking, I.e work)

    I’m not diagnosed with adhd or autism but I always feel restless or exhausted I always bite and pick at my nails and skin I fidget with my bracelets I tap my legs I tap my hands in patterns I zone out and some mornings I feel anxious because of the light through my window.

    Normally I'm self aware with mine I normally use body language to show that I am in sensory overload I know it doesn't solve the problem but it does help my family see what's going on my problem is doing what you suggest is hard because some things are just unpredictable my main thoughts are how can I still function and somehow numb sensory overload

    I experience these things when it’s crouded, loud , too bright. And I become irratable , experience anxiety, very shy, scared , even panic attacks or crying, shaking, heart beating very very fast and Have to get out of there! I don’t like it at all , sensory overload is scary 😦!

    I have ME and Fibromyalgia I have cognitive dysfunction and serious sensory overload.
    I get anxiety, feel sick weak and dysfunction.
    I have hyperacusis so severe pain migraine and ears, Also can make me have paralysis.
    I have to wear ear defenders and ear plug together to go out.
    To many noise even vibration make me so ill.

      You may also be hypersensitive (HSP). I have this and experience/sensory overload that cause tonic clonic seizures when I’m overloaded. This is hard because I’m a special education teacher. I’m trying to implement helpful strategies to manage the anxiety and sensory overload.

      Oh it so serious,
      Most things around me affects me.
      Getting test done for the hyperacusis.
      Hypo sensitivity’s is crazy many sounds trigger me of stress.
      Instantly Everything in my body malfunction.
      Get so sick, anxiety, My Head mess up can’t think to function at all.
      Feel my nerves around my body
      Going crazy so scary
      I feel a quick energy draining rush sinking feeling from my head to my toes and then I cannot move at all.
      I feel like I am dying.
      It just my eyes are watching blurry vision, whats going on and I hear my heart beat loud.
      I can’t move my mouth to speak my breathing because so slow and hard to breath cause the energy so low I think.
      Just dead weight and it take 45mins - 1hr to start slowly functioning again.
      But take weeks to recover,
      To my ME and Fibromyalgia level that I can manage.
      Horrible.
      Got to wear ear plug and Defenders Got to eat well and try sleep.

    Unfortunately I work in a really, REALLY busy shopping mall, so I experience sensory overload to a greater or lesser extent nearly every day. I usually love my job and have a great team of colleagues but I'm seriously considering asking to transfer to a quieter store as it's getting worse and worse and is not sustainable.

    Hi Ella,
    Sensory overload does happen regularly for me, but it only last for a few minutes but every 6 months it can last for 2 weeks. Do u think it's called sensory overload or is it called something else?
    Years ago this us to happen more regularly.
    Have u heard of sensory overload meltdown? As I haven't. X

    My first sensory overload was at a daddy daughter dance in 2nd grade and I remember getting really anxious and crying and having to leave the dance for a bit because it was so bad. I thought it was claustrophobia bc thats what my dad told me, but I don’t know really if it is that or the sensory thing.
