Hi Michael, Thanks a lot for your videos on how to care for our machines, I truly appreciate it. I have a few questions for you. I noticed you sell the Juki Miyabi sit down. My husband bought me one, we live in Michigan. I have been practicing with it and went to do a tabletopper for some practice. No matter what I do I simply cannot get the thread tension correct. I am using Glide thread on top and Bottomline on bottom. I keep getting the top thread coming thru to the back and I have adjusted and adjusted. I am open for any suggestions you may have for me. And also, I have heard there is an overlay for the table for the Miyabi. If there is one, do you sell it? Thank you so much for any help suggestions you may have for me. I have done free motion quilting for 20 years on my domestic machines. This is my first longarm and I chose the sitdown because that is what I am used to and easier on my feet and knees. Have a wonderful day...… Claudia

Hi Michael, I really enjoy your videos. I am saving for the new Juki Miyabi Long Arm and I notice your area code is 717 where exactly are you located? I’ve been sewing for over 45 years. I have a Singer Featherweight 221 and I belong to a Featherweight group. I also have a brand new Singer Stylist (never used) an Elna Carina Electronic SU that I adore, but don’t know where and what parts to oil the Elna please HELP!!

    Lucille,
When you adjust tension (upper) on your juki, you will need to turn the knob literally at least 180 degrees each time as it takes many turns to substantially change the tension. Always start with the tension loose enough that it loops, then using half turns of the tension, tighten and check with each half turn until the loops just disappear as this will be the least stress on the thread.
Yes, we sell the overlay. Please call my store for information on ordering it. (717)352-3050
