Awesome video and explanation. Is there any way to make this work when you're using variable products? All my products have variations and when I tried doing what you show here, it doesn't alter the price, either in % or as a $ increase.
Is there any rule in Woo Commerce or any plugin that would help with the everyday low pricing concept (prices are changed automatically on daily basis until the minimum selling price is reached?
Hello! Wonderful video thank you. How would one do this for more than 28 products. I have 2000 products and need to bulk edit their price. I can bulk edit, but it only does 1 page at a time (I have 98 pages). Any suggestions on how I can do this without a premium plugin. Thanks
@@MuhammadRizwan-Shahid I'd be happy to share what I wrote but don't know if it's what you need? Basically crated a page in the backend where you select a product category then it lists all those products in that category and then you can tick the products you want to edit price, select % or fixed and enter amount and then hit update. It goes through all the products and sub variations and updates them.
You might want to add to this video by stating that you can, under SALE, click on the "set to regular price decreased by (fixed amount or %)" to bulk edit any category you may have. I was trying to bulk edit all my prices on my site to 50% for a sale I'm running (until I can get all 1500+ items on my site) and I couldn't figure out how to do this. I then decided to try the above-mentioned idea. When I did this, it kept my regular price showing but also showed the sale price as being set at 50% less. I don't know how to add a screenshot of this information here on YT, so I hope you understand what I'm asking you to include in your video.
what about price variations? this has always been an issue for me.i have 5 different sizes for my products and therefore 5 different prices. i cant increase by percentage,so wanted to increase all the prices by an amount.any ideas?
The video is fantastic, but it doesn't work on variable products, For variable products you install a free plugin: ua-cam.com/video/mSM_ndk2z7A/v-deo.html
i followed this video and all 20 of the items in my store got changed but there is now way to change them back would you please include how to bulk take thing off sale
You should be able to undo what you did in bulk, the same way you did it to put things on sale. To put things on sale, you normally "decrease" the price. To put it back to the original price, you'd have to "increase" the price by whatever your original sale price decrease was.
@@kimberlyjohnson2658 It's not the same I was having the same problem because Ex: 10- 10% = 9 but when you want to change them back Ex: 9 + 10% = 9.9 so it's not the same price like before. This Woocommerce platform is not yet on the level of Shopify unfortunately. :(
For some reason, my wp is not anywhere close to being as fastly responsive nor functional as your demonstration. Mine takes forever to load a new page, update, etc. and the bulk actions do not work at all. I don't know what the problem is.
He has it installed on his computer thats why its fast. Its always better to develop your website offline on your computer and when its complete push it online on to your server. Try: wordpress.org/plugins/woo-bulk-editor/ - filter products by type "variables", then activate switcher variations clip2net.com/s/3Ugf4q6 - now all bulk operations will be applied for variations only and not for their parents
I've done it a few time but it does not work. Could it be because I'm using products from aliexpress with the alidropship plug in ? If you have a solution I would really appreciate it. :)
Does this work across all variations? I want to add $20 to all of my pillows. But, I offer them in 5 sizes and two fabrics ... does this work on all the variations? Thanks in advance!
I found a really simple way of working for prices on lots of products with the same attributes (like a t-shirt store for instance). I installed a duplicator plugin, duplicated one of the files. Then, I corrected its pricing. Then, I kept duplicating that and merely changing the name and product image. It took around a minute per item then for each item, but fixes hundreds of variable prices. Thanks! You video got me thinking. Nice work.
@@WPTuts Yes I went into product edit, I changed my reg price and sale's price ect, everything looks good but then I returned and most of the prices were reset to original pricing form aliexpress, in example I had a shirt that was 5.24 but I put a tag on it for reg price 14.99 sale price 9.99 published. Looks good but then later when I returned the price might have dropped on aliexpress or went up and it messed up my pricing now it would look like reg price 6.85 sale price 4.89 something random like that without prior notification.
Hello, Good tip. Let's say now I want to set a new price using my own formulas, like [price] * 255 + 70. How do I deal with that? Thanks for helping. Cheers.
surely you do it in two steps: (1) bulk increase the price by 25400% (100%+25400% = 25500% = 255 * 100%), then (2) bulk increase the price by 70 (without the percentage)
Try: wordpress.org/plugins/woo-bulk-editor/ - filter products by type "variables", then activate switcher variations clip2net.com/s/3Ugf4q6 - now all bulk operations will be applied for variations only and not for their parents
Same shit everywhere. Noone is brave enough to explain that, we have an excel or csv sheet and we want to update new prices without uploading the whole excel list. Example. A provider sends us the new price list of products we sell without explaining to us if he increased prices the same way for all. may be he put 1€ on some of them, 5 Euros on others, % on others. We just want to upload the new price. What s wrong with it?
you are right. And i apologize. But at the end of the day, it is not about helping ME. It's about helping the community. We don't need to have the same information. The idea is to give answers. If I had the answer I would share it. The info you gave in this video is intuitive and everyone knows it. But don't you think that people need to know how to update a price list using the sku as reference?
It's very easy to assume that everyone knows how to do something when you're comfortable with it. Sadly, that isn't the case and there are probably a lot more people who need to know a method like this than are comfortable with using a spreadsheet to update their information. That's not to say that using a spreadsheet to bulk update isn't very useful and it's something I will look into. But I'd recommend not making sweeping assumptions or be derogatory to people who create this educational content free of charge.
I don't want to argue with you. I am just saying 2 things. the first one is, your video doesn't fulfill real needs, because all my clients are suppliers. and suppliers work whith spreadsheets they recieve from providers.
