    Really clean work. Gave me a couple great ideas to use on my own builds. I also am very interested in a tool review, the original tool used to put in those rivets was not hard to use in the first place and also didn't need as much space where the drill is used in this new tool. But I look forward to seeing the pros and cons of this new device. Thanks again!

      Both batteries connect to each other at the distribution block (+ to +, for parallel wiring). The alternator is already wired to the first battery, which now also has the second battery in circuit.

    Enjoy your videos. I have not seen it yet in your videos, but how about a video for us guys who have high performance ignition systems that have low resistance wires in the old muscle cars (1968 Chevelle). What strategies can one use to keep the EMI/EFI noise out of the radio. I just use a good radio with an old equalizer. If I run my system directly to a separate battery from the car battery I have no noise in the radio/CD/ Cassette system. Now when I hook up the equalizer there is still some noise with this setup. Hooking this system up to the car battery there is a lot of noise.

    Did you setup the battery terminals to face towards the car body rather than towards the power dist. blocks for aesthetics and wire/cable routing? My thoughts would be to flip the battery so the wire runs to the blocks was shorter. This might be answered in the wiring video, but thought I'd ask here.

    My question is how are you connecting the rear battery to the electrical system? Is there an identical battery in parallel under the hood, or do you have an isolator inline to separate the two while the engine is off? I use a 300 amp isolator solenoid myself. I don't want extended parking lot listening sessions interfering with the cars main battery. Just curious what method you use. And as always, love the videos man.

    In your Grand Cherokee project mounting all of the amps behind the molding of the car, how do you handle heat issues? I have a 2020 Ford Fusion that I want to put the amplifier where the spare tire goes because unfortunately new Fords do not come with a spare tire but there's lots of space there to use. I mounted my amp there and it started getting extremely hot where it had not done that before. I also may think I want to recheck the ground but how do you handle heat?

    out of topic, but...... If im limited in space to upgrade to big alternator, what should i do? i can only install 120a alternator, but i thought adding a 140aH battery will do the trick(stock battery is 77aH)? i have 2k rms woofer, 500w rms of highs, mids etc. so 2.5k rms total, that requires roughly 181aH just for itself.

      I doubt it since he said it's expanded PVC which means that even though it's rigid, it's structural integrity is no where near that of equivalent MDF. I believe the reason he's using it is that it's lighter than wood or MDF and easy to work with but don't quote me on that.

    • @Aikidoman06
      @Aikidoman06 6 років тому

    • @cragv
      @cragv 6 років тому

      Marine ply isn't a bad option for wetter environments. I've got several big chests of drawers made out of this stuff in my workshop. It's strong and while not impervious to water, is vastly more tolerant of getting wet than MDF.
