If you remember this, you're definitely a native New Yorker.
Western New Yorker...
I remember theses very well....
Classic movies and classic era....
I still remember this as an infant and a year old. This was the last week Ch 9 played The Riviera Affair by Neil Richardson before all movie intros went computer animation.
Ocean's 13 begins with this music and animation
Classical 1980's.
Oh yeah I remember that my son was 1yrs old when that came out, good memories
Thanks for the memories these movies need to be brought back for the weekend mornings
They were the days although I was a teenager at the time.
Beautiful memories
Trivia: The opening titles are stylized in the opening logos of Warner Bros.' _Ocean's Thirteen_ and a promo of _The Saturday Animation Block_ on Disney Channel.
This open was also derived from the opening titles of the Robert Wagner-Eddie Albert caper drama "Switch" - which, ironically, would later air in syndication on Channel 9 after this title sequence was finally retired.
Disney Channel's The Saturday Animation Block is in this style and with the same music. I can't believe this music is this old! Pretty awesome!
its not the movies you remember...its the opening bumpers (theam songs)
This gave one an alternative to cartoons and comedy reruns.
For me I remember hearing this in the early 70s..when channel 9 was it
