***** It's about growing up and watching your best friends going away to college which in the end they'll forget you anyway because all of the time they spent there, basically its about being left alone and moving on with life. "It takes four years away from your friends to make you all forget how much time you spent."
I cant stop listening to this song. The Story So Far changed my life, without a doubt. So stoked to see them at Warped. My first tattoo is set to be "Not Broke, Just Bent"
All my friends have gone away Sailing vessels leaving the bay For the best four years and the promise of pay But they don’t even know what they’re chasing Greater men have tried and failed And all this time I thought that I’d stay As a ghost who would haunt this mountain And all this time I thought that I’d stay Alive in the ground digging out my coffin Time was short on courts and pavement We knew we had to leave But did I make the most of every day And did I give to not receive? Are there any better words to express the full extent of my grief? It hits home when you’re not home There’s no space to grow And all this time not much to show And all this time I thought that I'd stay As a ghost who would haunt this mountain Maybe I should hold my tongue And do my best to live with the stress that's mounting I never thought a bond was something we lacked I gotta find another way to keep myself intact I understand we all went away so we could have the stories to share when we’re back Try to pass the same old shit to get ahead and start your paper stack I never thought a bond was something we lacked I guess some of us just needed a change to heal the bones we cracked It takes four years away from your friends To make you all forget how much time you spent
Damn, just found you guys online for the first time. True punk sound. I checked out a bunch of your videos and I gotta say you guys have a serious sound acoustically!! You guys should set up a clearer recording of a full set on acoustic and snare drum and share it everywhere. Your fans would love it. I'll try to check you guys out in New York.

This reminds me of my best friend who got a girlfriend and then just disappeared out of our lives. Its been about four years, still hoping he'll come back as the times we had were so special to my life and I want those times back
I wish TSSF was still at this stage in their career. So much of the fun seems to have left for them, parkers voice is so strained from all the years of touring, and he kinda seems over it. I've been seeing them live since their first EP with Snyder street and I just miss the energy they used to have. I still love their new music just as much, but man I'd killl for a small venue floor show or an acoustic set
The Story So Far is one of my absolute favorite bands, and I think Parker is a solid singer but I am in 100% agreement with you just the tonal quality and precision in Derek's voice is special and he is a better more gifted singer. People can argue what they want but singing to an extent is not subject, notes are found amongst frequencies and hitting a note means hitting an objective frequency, and Derek can just hit the shit out of every note I've heard him attempt.
Fuck yeh mate, check their website, all over the place at the end of April start of May. London, B'ham, Sheffield, Newcastle, Manc, Southampton and loads of other places. Great innit? First The Starting Line doing their 10 year anniversary tour for Say It Like You Mean It and now this.
Doesn't matter who had what name first or anything. Its a race to gain the rights to the name and generally.... whoever snatches up fame is usually the first to copyright their name. Last time I checked, the US TSSF is far more along than the UK TSSF
They don't like using them because they like interacting with the crowd, but some twat went on stage and kissed Parker so they started using them more often.
You guys should change your name.... There's a band out in the UK that had the name "The Story So Far" Not trying to be rude, but it doesn't help when two bands have the same name.
“I guess some of us just needed a change to heal the bones we cracked” will always be my favorite line
I need the whole under soil and dirt album in acoustic
Wow! Amen!
I need a new album!
@@kalebnolan8343 boi do I have news for you

@@ECHO500000 and that is one of the reasons why I never forget names and people.
kev has such an underrated voice and it bums me out that they don’t really write in harmonies for him anymore :(
Yo, check then out live. He's still great. Also, Coldmoon (his solo thing) is beautiful.
I cant stop listening to this song. The Story So Far changed my life, without a doubt. So stoked to see them at Warped. My first tattoo is set to be "Not Broke, Just Bent"
how real is this song? everyone can relate to this. best song by them for sure.
Loren Chrisman placeholder still takes it for me
Placeholder will always have a special place in my heart
Loren Chrisman bout three fiddy percent on the realness scale
My favorite band
they never get old. ever.
Yep. Can confirm
I'm beginning to think that they use absolutely zero pitch correction the album. He sounds exactly the same live. So amazing.
It's always great to find a band that sounds great live.

Fucking love these kind of vocals! No perfection, one tunning and practically shouting! The way punk vocals should be :D
i love this song so muchhh. the lyrics are so real and relatable
10 years later. I’m 30YO and just got into them. What took me so long.
This Is the best day ever. Seeing them perform acoustic in 5 minutes and then tonight with gnarwolves!!!
one of the goat tssf songs
at the end of the video they're like ''fuck yeah we nailed it''
These guys are killer at acoustic sets
If either TSSF had a song featuring Soupy, or TWY had a song featuring Parker, I would die SOOOO happy.
This is so good guys
beautiful
Parker Canon's voice is motherfuckin serious. The best voice in music.
Such an amazing band.

Parker looks like Flick from A Christmas Story in this
ahahahaha I see it!
ayyye your name is spelled the same as mine. but yea he kinda does
This Song is so dope!
vocals strong AF
their best song by far
2023 anyone?
He's such a babe. Go sharks!
I really love this song, great video. Can't wait til they come back to the bay so I could go see em! Much love!
Never heard anyone say that, but I've seen him live WITH A COLD and he still fucking killed it.
❤️❤️❤️
these guys' only flaw is that they're sharks fans. LETS GO DUCKS!!!!
Fucking legends man
This reminds me of my best friend who got a girlfriend and then just disappeared out of our lives. Its been about four years, still hoping he'll come back as the times we had were so special to my life and I want those times back
when Will messed up at 2:19 hahahahaha still the best pop punk band ever besides Mariner
hell yea, they're from walnut creek so they better be bay area fans
I know. Parkers a fucking rad singer. Him and Soupy from The Wonder Years are my favourite vocalists in all of pop punk.
I wish TSSF was still at this stage in their career. So much of the fun seems to have left for them, parkers voice is so strained from all the years of touring, and he kinda seems over it. Gilman St
Cody Goodwin Parker is getting older that's why he's losing his energy haha
saw them a few months ago in Syracuse and felt the same way. first time seeing them and it lacked in energy. still love them
I'm meant to be looking fora job but fuck that atm, This is so much better. I cannot wait to see them in the UK in april.
PARKER'S WEARING A SAN JOSE SHARKS BEANIE. I CAN DIE HAPPY.

I think this should put all those "Parker Cannon can't sing live" arguments to rest
“Whatsss up?”
“Yis”
He said thizz which is a Mac Dre reference
Their not going to change their name. They're clearly way more successful.
My favorite fucking song
Doesn't matter who had what name first or anything. Its a race to gain the rights to the name and generally.... whoever snatches up fame is usually the first to copyright their name. Last time I checked, the US TSSF is far more along than the UK TSSF
They're a British hardcore band.. Found them searching for these guys :')
Under soil and dirt #1 record by tssf.
wow I have that exact shirt at 0:35
damn, it must be cold in there
lol if you mute at 2:37 it looks like the rap battle in 8 mile for a few seconds
Go sharks. Go Parker. ;D
No, I don't think you understand..... I really love this band. haha
And all my friends have gonorrhea!
✌️✌🎫
Girls like you...
They're just accustomed to Cali sunshine :)
That should've been the name of the album, "The Ghost on the Mountain."
Nah bruh. Under Soil and Dirt is much better lol.
Who the hell disliked this?
All these live videos & just music videos, it seems like this band doesn't ever use barricades. Lol but I prefer no barricade
They usually don't use barricades and it's the best thing to be able to just go onstage and dive
They don't like using them because they like interacting with the crowd, but some twat went on stage and kissed Parker so they started using them more often.
Sara Binkley It's normal in this kind of scene. Sing along and stage dive.
2 people now...
He thru up a T for Thizz ?
Lol, it's cause the dude basically screams and strains his voice when he sings. But it sounds amazing.
Maybe that'll happen at warped this year, fingers fucking crossed
You guys should change your name.... There's a band out in the UK that had the name "The Story So Far" Not trying to be rude, but it doesn't help when two bands have the same name.
What kind of acoustic guitar on the left
tanglewood :)
San Jose Sharks beenie tho
Normal life would never be sufficient again.
Maybe they should change their name, since there's only one The Story So Far anyone's ever heard of
really? Might want to google the band name and see what comes up
Am I the only who notices he never sings with his eyes open?
CA FUCKING NUCKS
at my mother didn't likes the parker's voice
1 person spent Four years chasing nothing...
you mad?
He used to shave his head haha
Dat forehead vein...
Fuck no.
What's with the live footage stuff? Show what we are listening to. Fail.
Derek (state champs) is a better singer.
