- For just one week, we will be filming, editing and posting a vlog a day to show you what it is we get up to in a normal week at the medieval Chateau de Rosieres - our beast of a French castle and estate. From the remarkable to the mundane, follow the passage of our week exactly as it unfolds.
It's Monday and we're both a little tired from the previous week, so we take on some smaller projects in the glorious sunshine, including Amy's long-held desire to move out of the chateau... There's also a dramatic chase sequence and a very happy little boy.

Marc hamming it up with comical faces was so funny. His facial expression when you told him you had an idea... dun dun dun. Obviously he had heard those words before. So humorous. The old buildings on your estate are so lovely in the old stone. Subscribed.
The way I get my daughters rabbits to come into their hutch is to just shake their nugget treat jar and when they near it they come running in to the hutch and I close the door. Works everytime.🐇🐰
Hooray! I love your vlogs. Having a record of one week is a good idea, but no one will expect you to do more than weekly on a regular basis. You are right that many people can't imagine all the random things involved in country life or extensive renovations. I certainly can't imagine shoveling wood chips daily! Here's a tip on rabbits - we kept ours in a folding play yard for babies - about 8 panels, 70+ cm tall - too tall for the rabbit to jump out. Then it was also used around the wood stove to keep toddlers away from the heat. It is interesting that you are training a Bignonia vine - they grow wild and weedy where I live, and can be a nuisance, although beautiful.
This was fun seeing your day to day adventures, I especially loved all the outside footage, chasing the bunny, the doggie "helping" you with projects, the peacock begging at your lovely outdoor lunch. Your countryside views are stunning. Lovely life and family, thank you for sharing with us.❤
What a brilliant idea, the play tent! That will be one of Clement's magical childhood memories! I just had to laugh at the image of a little one who is knee-high to a grasshopper wandering around with a machete that is longer than he is, 'oh dear, Clement's gotten into the umbrella stand again' 🤣'I guess we'll have to make him an epic play fort so he doesn't take the 2 ton digger for a joyride next.' What an awesome place and family for a little boy to grow up in. ❤️
Amy it won't be long till clement is walking ,instead of chasing 🐰 . Clement has a lot of land to cover 🤔 .Marc is a man of many talents that quiche yum .

Lovely idea Amy, Clement gets fresh air and is safe, just one suggestion, the bag full of toys, just get out a few, he will get much fun diving into the bag for himself. I can see you and Marc getting lots of work done ! Ha ha ! I enjoyed your first idea also of showing us bits of your work schedule each day, I do love your livestock, brings back memories of my own small holding I had in 1985 and enjoyed the Good Life. WCL
What a great idea setting up the tent as a safe space for Clement to play, to keep an eye on him while you’re working. Getting those two rugs from the tip shop to put under the tent, that was a great find. As the saying goes ‘one man’s junk is another man’s treasure’. The quiche, yum, it looked so delicious. Your tent set-up reminds me of "Out of Africa" ; ) Also, there is nothing like the fresh smell of air dried laundry and what a VIEW you and your laundry have.

Yes, please! I would love to see how the quiche was made, too. I don’t understand how Marc was able bake it on parchment!? 🤔 We always use a tart pan or pie pan. It was amazing how he was able to just slide it onto a plate. Great video...thanks!

So you are in France and I am in Canada and I just got the notification for this not too long ago.. I am up late getting our pandemic lockdown school day ready for my kids tomorrow, this means you didn't include the shot of you up in the middle of the night getting this fun clip of your life for us to enjoy ready. Thank you. It is great fun! I hope you get some rest. I think I should set our tent up in the yard for our kids when it gets a tad warmer. Wonderful plan.

Thanks Tashia! Yes I'm quite a zombie!!! I'm just editing and have realised I didn't even brush my hair this morning!!! Ah well. We all survived the day, which is the most important thing!
Every parent watching this is nodding vigorously at the attempt to work from home and find their toddler playing in the toilet, running with crossbows, or having a neighbor return your child that you didn't realize was missing while you were busy doing laundry for two minutes. Kids are sneaky.

Ahh peacocks, when I was in my early twenties I lived in a farm cottage for a while,they had two peacocks which would hold me hostage.Unless I gave them a digestive biscuit they would not let me out the door, making it very difficult to go to work or out shopping. I was terrified of them ❤️😎🇫🇷

I can't recall anything in his TV viewing that instigated that.

Nice video of your life there. I really like how you put up your tent to enjoy the weather, work and I like the way you arranged your child's toys for him. I think that is so important for him to learn what is his and to be safe and for his education. I did the same things with my children's toys.

I personally think your channel is very interesting and always look forward to seeing what you are doing at your beautiful chateau. Maybe you could give each episode an hour inviting title to draw other subscribers to view, also keep the episodes short and sweet, less work for you, about 20 minutes is fine for me as I spend a lot of time keeping up with my favourites, and you have so much to do keeping you beautiful home and caring for Clement.
