- Welcome to Dubbzi Bricks
In this update I continue to work on the Joker Funhouse. I manage to get the majority of the front side built up and find the ideal size for the building for our Gotham City.
I hope you enjoy the update, if you do please give the video a LIKE, SHARE, drop me a COMMENT and SUBSCRIBE to the channel.
Thank you for watching.
For the toy soldiers out front you could use the new lego nutcracker sets, they seem to be in the correct scale! Loving how the citys coming along❤
Thank you @jim5644, I will have a look at that set for some inspiration 👍
I think you could make the Joker Funhouse sign like a sign from a Western-building (flat boards with support from the back) with rickety construction to "hold it up" - this would make it look good from both sides and give your roof some detailing - this would avoid increasing the general height of the building :)
I was actually going to say this myself...I think the building should only go up high enough to accommodate the hair of the joker face...good call
Good shout @SuperHabbomake, It would be good to keep the height of the building down if I can with out losing the visuals that I am after.
Large windows would look awesome on the side facing the water so you can see the rollercoaster inside the building from the outside.
I do have a vision that I have in mind for the side facing the water which I saw on another Joker Funhouse. It would be good that you can see into the building from the outside so windows could be a good option @droidbait_resurrected7585
The fun house is coming along nicely. I love how moving the arches to better fit the roller coaster is giving it the "something is off" asymmetry that screams Joker. Can't wait for your next update!
Thank you @alfredrising3247. Really pleased with how the fun house is coming along.
I can't wait for you to get those green pieces for the hair. That Joker face is already looking so impressive.
Me too @christianbrass6959, Looking forward to seeing more colour on the side of the building.
Looking absolutely amazing build can’t for the finale it’s going to look epic
Thank you @neoafter0212 🙏
This is fantastic!!!
Thank you @@ReneeCohen-dn8xx 🙏
I always wanted to make a moc between the original funhouse set and the arkham city style version and yours is like a dream come true. Looks great man🔥
Thank you @GreenNinj4 🙏, Much appreciated
Every time I see this MOC it gets better. Most impressive Dubbzi, you are a busy guy! 😅
Thank you Dion, It is so much fun I just can't leave the LEGO room 😀
Looking great! 🔥🙌
Cheers @slipstream7363 👍
Amazing brother
Thank you @Customking1989 🙏
I'm really liking this .... perhaps put monarch theater and crime alley behind it....if it fits...good job as always... I'm always impressed with what you can build with legos
Thank you @wickedgravity9164, much appreciated. I do want to have the Monarch theatre as close as possible to this part of Gotham.
Looking forward to next update! great work!
Thanks and good to hear @whatshappeningnext 👍
This building with the rollercoaster will be a much needed splash of colour in the city. Coming on great.
Thanks Mike, It is so nice adding colour to the city. Looking forward to adding more to it in the near future. It is always a challenge trying to keep the city dark and gloomy but also adding the needed colour.
Thats some good stuff as always. I love the texture on the front. Im always so impressed with people who can build legos from scretch. i'm not creative enouth to come up with these things, I'm happy to stick with the sets. already waiting for the next one.
Thank you @madmax6220 🙏
This looks really cool !!! Maybe the brown windows /arches where the coaster goes in & out could stick out one stud. To give more depth & details to the building. Love your work ❤️
Thank you @bricksdontcry, It is always good to add depth to the buildings. Will have a think about the arches. Not sure how much I can move them around the curved section without it effecting the track. Worth looking at thou
It’s starting to come together, incredibly. The amount of detail is just amazing and its colour combinations is really cool. Definitely excited to see how you’ll do the nutcrackers and sign. Gave video a huge like and keep up the great
Thanks @Lego-Man123. The Nutcrackers are proving to be a bit of a head scratcher at the moment due to the curvature that I want to get on them and the details. I am sure will get there evenutally.
@ No worries, are they? Bu I know you’ll find a way to make them look truly epic. Good luck, my fingers are tightly crossed.
@@Lego-Man123 I want to try and get the chest curved, but also have the white straps going diagonally across them, as well as having rounded shoulders. Trying to find the pieces to make it work and keep it to the size that it needs to be is where I am struggling.
@ Sounds like it’s going to be quite the challenge. Good luck, but I guarantee you won’t need it. As you always pull through and do an incredible job.
It would be really cool to have a large smokestack on the roof of the building, to really give it that industrial look. In the game you’re referencing, Joker took over the Sionis steel mill, so that could offer some extra detail.
A smoke stack would be a cool addition to that area @trygon_stingray. I may try and add something to the side of the building that allows that 👍
this is like joker used that old warehouse. as his personal place
I do want to try and put as much of a Joker stamp on the build as possible @henrybeasley8973.
Huh decent idea to actually print out the reference pics! I always lose mine somewhere in my photos and find new ones lol
Moc is also looking good as always! Love the Arkham game inspiration!
Thank you @mikaelta1911 , I have found it easier using a printed picture as the pictures are normally on my phone which is what I am recording with. I did think that the Arkham Game gave the best inspiration for this build.
Yeah it's looking amazing! That corner section with the 2 loops of coater track could almost be a tower section. Meaning it would keep the main part of the building lower. Just a thought 😁
Thanks @Karsten-T . I think that is what I will be trying, help keep the overall height down a bit
you could keep the roof low by having the cart pop out of a trap door or hatch so u don't have to build up around it. Looks sick
Thank you @pxprzcallmeback, I am hoping I have come up with a solution for the top of the coaster. It would be nice to keep the roof low.
Looks absolutely awesome! The grey and brown parts, decorated with green, white, and red, really give it that feeling that Joker took over an abandoned building for his own amusement. Do you plan to add anything else inside, like other things you'd find at an amusement park or leftovers from a factory?
Thank you Taylor, I would like to put as much in there as possible. Not sure what yet. The roller coaster is very close to the entrance of the building and it does take up a lot of the floor space, so getting all of those details in there is going to be one fun challenge. Will have to have a think about what will work in the space available 👍
