Thanks so much for covering my story, and for explaining why the brain is not the originator of our consciousness. I certainly interacted with the reality outside of my body in a much more holographic-instant knowing through light sort of way. My grandfather revealed himself as a light-figure that simply resembled him...but much younger. We spoke to one another through light--through telepathy. I think perhaps we both agreed that he needed a form...if that makes sense. I'm a new subscriber:-) I'll let people know that you are interviewing.

Hello Tricia! A real pleasure to hear from you directly. I think your story is fascinating and I hope I did justice to it, at least to the best of my ability. The way your grandfather appeared to you actually makes sense. I will cover Nancy Rynes next because her experience clarifies why NDEs often involves recognizable forms. I really appreciate your subscription and spreading the word that I do interviews. I know you've already done many interviews but if I can come up with new questions to ask you, or you have more to say about your experience, I may reach out in the near future if you're interested. I can be reached directly at rick@psychologyofthestrange.com. Hope all is well!

It was great to see this new video you put up. You already know about my near death experience, but I thought I would comment on your statement about what people would look like in the spirit realm.
What I want to share with you, was not an out of body experience; but rather, a dream... a dream that came true. Here it is:
Frist, let me say: I am a big fan of Elvis Presley and even saw him in concert.
OK, ...A number of years ago, (around 2001/2), I had a dream where I was walking through some knee-high grass on the side of a hill. About 40 feet in front of me, I saw a man sitting under the only tree on the hill, and he was looking out over a small valley.
I wandered over towards the tree and noticed that the young man sitting under it, looked just like Elvis Presley, when he was in his 20s.
As I was looking at him, he turned and looked at me and said, “Hi Mike.” I said, “You are Elvis Presley.” He acknowledged that he was and we started talking.
I told Elvis that I knew I was dreaming and that it was too bad, because it would have been really cool to have actually talked with him. He then told me that it wasn’t an ordinary dream that I was having, and he was in fact, Elvis, and that I was really talking with him. I laughed and told him that I knew it was just a dream.
Then, in this dream, Elvis told me he could prove to me that I was not having an ordinary dream; he went on to say that he was going to have another hit record in one year’s time from our meeting in my dream. He said, that when I heard about his hit, that I would know that I actually met and talked with him in a dream because, he had told me it would happen.
I responded by asking Elvis how he could have another hit, since he was long dead. He just told me to watch for it.
Of course, I woke up and just thought it was a dream. I told a few friends about the dream and then didn’t give the dream any more thought.
One year later, 2002/3, when I had taken my kids to the dentist; I went out to wait for them, in my car so I could listen to the radio.
While sitting in the car, and listening to the radio a re-released version of Elvis’ song, “A Little Less Conversation” came on and the DJ said it had become a hit, again… the last time it was a hit, I think was in the late 60s.
To be quite honest with you; when I heard the DJ say that Elvis had a new hit, I really didn’t think of my dream… I just thought it was cool. It was only later, when I was bragging to a friend, that Elvis had another hit, that they reminded me of my dream…. She said, “Hey, Mike… that is just like that dream you told me about.” I got goose bumps all over, as I recalled the dream.
Now, I make NO claims that I actually spoke with Elvis in the spirit realm… but, I do think it is interesting that the prediction in the dream came true in that Elvis did have another hit and at the same time he said the hit would be.
Perhaps this dream was just my mind seeing or reading the future, and my mind just put it into a dream format… Or, perhaps, maybe, it really was Elvis. I guess I won’t know for sure, till I get to the other side. If it was really Elvis, then, he did look quite human to me...
    take care,
    Mike...

I believe it was the real elvis. I think when we are in this world we are much more limited than after we die. After death, I think we exist is multiple other places at the same time. It can be literally millions of places. That is how Jesus is able to appear to millions worldwide at the same time. And that is how the source energy that a lot of us call God is able to love each one of us as if we were the only being in existance. Somehow, in that other realm, we can exist in as many places as we want at the same time. Also, that also explains why Elvis decided to appear as a 20 year old. If i were him, I would also want to be a 20 year old. I really can not wait to die lol.

Hi Mike. Sounds more like a precognitive dream and I cannot vouch or deny these things are possible. But if you’ve had this experience, then you had it. However, I still believe that whatever form we perceive (either in dreams or in NDEs) are projections based on memories. It’s really the only way I can make sense of it. Thank you for your contribution, Mike!

In my opinion after all I've heard and seen about NDE's there's quite a few NDE's that can't be denied, including my own eventhough mine was short and considered a distressful one. But I can guarantee you it real and every one will find this out one day no matter if you believe it or not, you will probably remember reading this comment and say to yourself that guy was 100% right.

Please keep making videos. This subject, because of a personal NDE, is something I'm quite passionate about. I think your videos are concise, well researched, and fascinating. I never really thought about death, or the idea that we are all so connected; to each other, and to the source "God." Until my experience! I would love to see more from you!

When my son was two months old, he had surprising sixth sense that could acknowledge things beyond his physical body, like my negative thoughts and emotions. He also reacted when we did Taoist ritual (outside of the house). Now the pure consciousness explains. ❤

I am devout catholic 🇻🇦and I feel very honoured to leave in these times when people can be resuscitated more readily !!!!
My Christian Faith is strong, though thank ✨GOD✨I really lack first hand knowledge of what happens after we die!
I generally prefer not to judge the intentions of people, and I prefer to give them the benefit of the doubt! The fate that our actions and thoughts will bring to us when we die is still somewhat mysterious to me!
I believe that ✨GOD✨is LOVE 💖but Love includes JUSTICE⚖️ This seems quite reasonable, and apparently true when observing the fate that people I know, or knew, bring / brought to themselves!
Premeditated Crime as well irrationality and addiction ⛓️make us prisoners of a grimmer future we may not clearly understand at the moment of choice…
I generally go by the principle that peace of mind brings about heartily ….joy!!!
Being able to appreciate such is very valuable, wether there is, or there isn’t, an afterlife ⚜️☦️⚜️

I gather from NDEs that the judgment comes from ourselves by experiencing the perspective of others impacted by our actions (through the life review). Whether it is from guilt or a natural step in rejoining a greater consciousness, I cannot say, but remain curious. 🙏

Though this might be obvious to some people, you might ask yourself, how is it that so many people are having a NDE? The answer is simple, .modern medicine. The ability to bring people back from the edge, something we haven't been able to do till quite recently. It changes everything doesn't it?

I wonder if the mind as we know it, is still active during NDEs, or even an OBE. So can color in the image or fill in the dots, at times, attempting to get clarity. At least somewhat.
I've never had a NDE, but have had OBEs. I notice the mind tries to make sense of what it doesn't immediately understand. Even if a wrong image is formed. With mindfulness {sati} the mind's intepretation can be worked out.
In the case of seeing a passed relative, or other dead person, the mind might be at work, coloring in the physical-realm form of the spirit (or consciousness) form of the dead person that is being seen during the NDE.

    • @psychologyofthestrange
      @psychologyofthestrange  Місяць тому

It is entirely possible. There are preliminary observations that the brain may have previously undetectable activity during NDEs. I don’t believe they’re enough to explain the full richness of the experience, but might be enough to account for some projections onto the experience.

I wouldn’t worry about that. Her mind may be declining because of what is taking place in brain cells. However, I believe that her consciousness is fundamentally intact, just no longer able to express itself as easily through the brain. I cannot prove it, but everything I’ve learned in science, renowned thinkers, and from NDEs point into that direction. 🙏

Near Death, she did not die. Otherwise she wouldn't be here. I worknin acute health care and these NDE's are a thing but remember, for every 100 people on the verge of death and or resuscitated there will only be 3-4 folk who will report an NDE. The rest will remember and experience nothing !
