It can work very well if you can get to a position before getting seen, but that is quite difficult because it suffers greatly from Cold War syndrome.
@SCPFoundationist I'd say they're more than fine...and they took part in the same war. Unlike Pt76, M41 etc... The wrong concept in my opinion is mixing eras. The BRs must then be studied based on the characteristics of the tanks

bro, when i was suffering in the german 6.0 with only a Tiger E, Panther D and a Panzer IV/70, the Jagdpather G1 just saved me. The powerful cannon, the mobility of a Panther + a strong cannon with high penetration was just brutal, i grinded very well with it, but all the tigers II and the Ferdinand were grinded with a TAM 2IP XD
Between the Ferdinand JadgePanther and Jadgetiger I am a goblin in the JadgePanther getting in a position where you lfp is hidden and gives your plenty of depression you can be a impenetrable beast
Honestly if it didn't suffer from the Panther transmission it would be a 10/10 TD for me. If you get a map with long sightlines this thing is an absolute monster, especially if you play a reverse slope enough to increase the angle of the front plate.

because it got up br'd and so did other things. when the regular tiger 1 was at 5.3 and the jagpanther was 6.0 the tiger 1s would always pull you down in mm so you'd never get 6.7, it'd always be a 6.0 or 6.3 match. back then this thing was nearly invincible, but now you always get pulled up to 6.7 and play against USA T34s, M56s, and M50s

Jagdpanther is actually a really good TD. Got that fantastic gun and some surprisingly good armour, only issue is that its BR rating usually puts it against early cold war/post war tanks. Just listen for that burning sound of someone hitting Malzi with some HEATFS rounds. When its downtiered, its basically unstoppable though.
