Im not a huge fan of speed painting myself. although painting armies does have a benefit. Nice job on those eyes! Keep up on the amazing work!

Thanks! I'll keep cranking it out as long as amazing people like you keep watching. Really appreciate it!

For me 4 hours would be an incredibly fast mini. The only actual army I ever tried was my space marines and that took much longer as I was picky about each of my soldiers looked before they died a horrible painful death on the table. Do blood bowl teams count? I saw some good tips in there. Face and skin first then working your way out is good until I realize my mini is really over accessorized. Great looking mini!

Thanks! Yes, I believe blood bowl counts.... i count any mini your painting. I still prefer to take longer, but sometimes you just have to rush. I think 4 hours is really fast for a quality mini.

And it's really too bad when they over accessorize a mini. I don't like that as I feel it's unnecessary and always takes the focus to the wrong place and hides a bit of the paint job.

just my two cents, but speed painting doesnt always equal it being a rush job. I enjoy the speedpaint process, certainly not rushing through them at all though.

Everyone has their own speed painting process. I'd love to hear yours! I also think enjoyment rules all, so if you have a system you enjoy, you're golden. That's what really matters.

@@mandysminis i rarely prime in black, generally i prime gray and then dry brush white. I did prime with necrotic flesh, and dry brush with a really light tanish white for a horde of zombies once which came out cool, but beyond that I guess i just take my time a bit more. I see some people rock out multiple minis in like an hour. My mind just wont allow me not to be more detailed about it. so technically it's speed painting, but i also still go back in and dress it up a bit more. also i hate eyes. sooooo much.

I agree. I can paint fast, but I'd rather enjoy it and take my time. That's the point of a hobby, right? The details really make all the difference. Eyes are a challenge. Did you see my video on how I do them? It works for me. It just takes practice. Lots and LOTS of practice.
