Our little we3 looks like quite a little feisty eaglet. Less bonking today. ❤ 😊 They all look good and strong. I love how dad tucks them in. Eagles are so amazing!

It's in the San Bernardino Mountains. West End is located about 22 miles, southwest of Los Angeles. It's on Catalina Island. We know Alaska has the majority of eagles. So, the weather might not be the problem with BB. But, perhaps, being in that latitude, they're building their nest with too little protection from the cold/snow? 🤷♀️ Thunder and Akecheta have their talons full, but, they've had triplets before. 😊 It sure is fun to watch this family! ❤😍💕 TYLH! 🥰 Be blessed, everyone! 😇🙏🤗💐💖🦅😻💕

It was posted on the West End chat that Dr. Sharpe has said he felt it was possibly environmental or elevation. That's pretty much what I suspected, based on them having had success in the past.🤷♀️ Although, it doesn't rule out a more recent infertility, based upon other things, such as exposure to elements that affect them. Whatever it is, it certainly is a sad mystery. 😢 These three munchkins have brightened my heart and crack me up. Even their baby bonking is adorable. Lol! 😂 Wishing you a wonderful day. And, why can't they fix it? The closest I've come to an explanation is that their algorithms are looking for Spam and violations. But, unfortunately, innocent people get caught in their nets. There's not much they can do about it, as removing their censorship bots would create other problems for users. We just have to wait until they can figure it all out, so that security doesn't suffer when they correct the invisible comment issue.🤷♀️ In the meantime, please don't fret about it. I do understand you always reply, etc. So, if I don't see one, I know it's YT and not you. 😘💕 One thing I noticed is that when I put this emoji ❣️ after someone's name, it could be a problem. I guess there were creepy characters who were targeting people and might have used that to get their attention. 🙄 Unfortunately, I hear about it a lot on the news. They tell people that the scammers use terms of endearment, etc., to disarm people and gain their trust. Then, they come up with some kind of sob story about needing money for an operation or to help a child, etc, and that's when the troubles begin. One man got taken for tens of thousands of dollars by some woman who claimed she fell in love with him, just because of what she read on line. His children tried to warn him, but he just accused them of trying to get in the way of him finding happiness, etc. It's very sad, but there are a lot of very evil people in the world. 😢 So, bottom line, it seems we will just have to suffer through it, until they can safely detect we are just watching birds! It's so hard to watch the nest 🪹🦅🦅 at big bear right now sounds like Jackie is always crying😢😢 feel so bad for them, I have been asking ?s on a few chats but never get an answer 🫤 my thought's of their eggs 🥚 always being unviable are because of the altitude and having a nest 145 ft high😢 My Grandparents had a cabin out in Big Bear when I was a young girl that we used to go too in the summertime because is was so much cooler in the mountains than in the city😊 My Gramma and I used to love baking cookies cakes and such and I remember her always adding extra flour to the mixes and she told me things cook and bake differently in higher altitudes 😊 maybe the mystery is the elevation we may never know, their are alot of eagle experts out there I know that could maybe explain why this is happening it's so heartbreaking 💔 I sure miss J&S being parents 😊💕🦅🌳💚 I can still hear that little firecracker Spirit hahaha!! I am so happy tho see that beautiful babies; but so annoying that those eagles have that blue thing, it is completely unnecessary, it is just for the human egocentrism to think we can control everything.
It's not controlling, it is all about keeping track because these birds were once on the way to extintion, the tags/bands help with keeping track of how many we have.
May I respectively ask why the big ol numbered tag? Not for nothing it's a horrible optic. Not trying to be nasty, and I know absolutely nothing at all about these beautiful eagles except what I see on the livestreams. Just curious why the big tag as opposed to the little leg/ankle bands I've seen on other eagles. I feel they are such a majestic sight whether perched on a tree or flying through the air that maybe the big tag route isn't the way. Im being selfish i understand 😊I'm positive there are solid reasons for it that I have no clue about. Just curious. Thank you.
Prior to 2017, institute for wildlife studies used these tags as a way to be able to ID birds from a distance. The eagle in this video is part of a conservation effort to restore the bald eagle population to the Channel islands. They no longer need to use tags because improvements in technology allow them to read leg bands from a distance. The tags don't hurt the eagles, they're bascially "feather weight". There's a nice UA-cam video called "return flight" about IWS conservation efforts. Highly recommend watching it. I think lady Hawk has it tagged in the description of this video
