I don't care about English talent, I want a better league. Without other European players, this league would be awful. I don't want to see Alan Pardew managing Manchester City and telling them to hoof long balls up the field all game.
Brexit won't help the English national team in any way. More English players coming through does not mean better English players coming through - in Thailand we have a restriction for 5 foreign players per team and it has done absolutely nothing to improve the quality of the national team. I think the opposite, but the Thai FA or the AFC seem to live in their own world where they can't see facts. Having less foreign managers also means a lack of innovation and the players won't get the same level of training. For example, when Guardiola was in Spain, Spain won the World Cup. When he was in Germany, Germany won the world cup. The training and knowledge he brings to his players help them on the national stage, not hinder them. The notion that English managers don't get enough chance is incorrect. Firstly, it's because English managers stay secluded in the country and don't go io Europe to learn from the coaches there - Brexit will multiply this problem. Paul Clement, if he survives with Swansea, may go on to achieve great things - all because he was trained by other European managers. In the Championship, if an English manager can make his way through the ranks and guide a team to the Premier League, he deserves a shot and usually gets it - Eddie Howe, Sean Dyche and Sam Allardyce all earned their place. Foreign managers essentially have to do the same thing if they want to come to the Premier League. However, pundits call for managers that haven't yet earned their place to come into the league, which is unfair. The Premier League is international and loved by everyone around the world. If a hard or even a medium Brexit was to happen, the Premier League could possibly lose that status.
Quota for Non Brits/Non Irish in the Premier League and Football League - Let's say 6 in a squad and any actual quota would probably be much less harsh. Leicester Keep Schmeichel, Fuchs, Huth, Okazaki and Slimani Get rid of the rest! Buy in 1 more. Chelsea Keep Courtois, Azpilicueta, Luiz, Kante, Hazard and Costa Get rid of the rest! United Keep De Gea, Pogba, Mata, Ibrahimovic Get rid of the rest! Buy in 2 more. Liverpool Keep Matip, Mane, Coutinho Get rid of the rest! Buy in 3 more. City Keep Sane, Aguero, Jesus Get rid of the rest! Buy in 3 more. Arsenal Keep Sanchez Get rid of the rest! Buy in 5 more,
The only reason the BPL is thought of so highly is because of the foreign players in it. Because England have produced nothing but shit apart from Harry Kane and Dele Ali for years now. So the league will become shit
Most players fall in to a tax bracket where they pay like 40% tax so the government would be at a massive lose and I wouldn't help the national team the reason that the top English clubs aren't full of English players isn't because there not given a go it's because there not good enough
Brexit = death of premier league.. More bang average raheem sterlings getting big moves to big clubs cuz of their nationality rather than quality.. With English team already struggling in the champions League.. This would definitely cause the loss of one or two cl places.. But it would be great for English players as they would get way more money than they are worth.. So more partying and laughing gas for English players
I don't know why the hell all English people are saying "it's going to be better for us because it allows young English talent to come through" as if you didn't have any coming in before brexit was announced ex Marcus Rashford, deli Ali, Stones, etc. Also all your international players play in the primer league except joe hart and England are terrible in international competitions. Proving that you don't need "new youth". What you need to do is make your youth work harder for that first team spot.
daniel guevara Well you're a fucking idiot. All these players play around with the foreign players. What the fuck needs to happen is get them used to each other, not just tell them to work harder
Entering B-teams like half of Europe does , should be a solution to improve youth. But your English clubs denied the entering of B-teams. The B-team of Ajax (Jong Ajax) will be the runner-up on the 2nd lvl of Dutch Football.
Britain would end up full of overpriced average homegrowns, not being strong in Europe and missing out on foreign youngsters if "hard" option and may do better in international tournaments
The reason young English players have not flourished in the Premier League is because they are not very good. That is the boring, slightly sad truth no-one wants to acknowledge. Fewer foreigners and more 'opportunity' isn't going to change that. On the bright side, there are small signs - England U19s thrashing Spain, Chelsea's back to back Youth CL wins, Delle Ali - that a long overdue upturn in actual quality is a realistic possibility. But the last 10yrs have been dismal in terms of emerging English talent.
This'll be great for Englands national team. Instead of Chelsea or Man City buying Batshuyai and Sané's. They'll let more English youth talent get first team chances.
The idea that crappy English players and managers would be better because our leagues are worse is ludicrous. By having worse teams and worse players around all English players do worse!
English players won't get better because of less foreign competition, it will happen the other way around... To produce better players you guys need a better young national team structure.
Read soccernomics. It makes the argument that with a decrease in foreign top flight players in the prem that the English players would be worse as well bc of the lack of higher levels of competition and fewer foreign coaches who coach better.
A lack of foreign player doesn't hurt the Spanish or the French, why would it hurt us? 'Our coaches aren't good enough' is a pathetic excuse. Just improve like everyone else does.
Do you have some sort of reading comprehension issues or are you just a standard moron? I never said they were better than the coaches you listed, not that it's relevant given that a) we're talking about coaches and not top end managers and b) the standard they can be not the standard they are.
Englands national team will always be shite. The english football culture and style of play does not serve their game. Boring football and no results....
Regardless of your personal politics, can we give Copa 90 props for actually putting out a video about this? Given the horrific "stick to sports" nature directed at people whenever we have the audacity to talk about something outside of sport, it's nice to see Copa take a stand on that.
The true problem with the premier league is that in reality, it consists of only six teams. Other than Everton (who have an odd, in-between status all of their own) most of the league are eternally engaged in fighting relegation, a fate to which all who exist outside of the charmed elite must eventually, inevitably succumb; The only escape from this purgatory being the improbable acquisition of an arab potentate or Russian oligarch.
TheGrandChieftain it does, the youth players have talent, and when given chance can be pretty good, Kane , alli and rashford. It because of teams like chelsea and city who dont , who are ruining football
Football makes huge amounts of capital for England and we control our borders now, it is not decided by what deal we get so there of course will be special exceptions for football. It will not change at all.
Footballers are rich, so they wouldn't be refused entry. When clubs had more english players, they use to do better in the Champions League anyway. No teams would be forced to have no foreign players, just give their own youth a chance.
Nothing will happen. The BPL just signed a billion pound deal, and non-English players are the cause of that. The league's best talents are non-English, therefore one could argue that by limiting the free flow of player movements in and out of the country, you'd diminish the entertainment value the league provides for casuals as well as the prestige of the league. In short, this would cost the league and its distributors and sponsors money, thus it's not gonna happen.
all you need to do is look at the best player in each position in the prem and youll see why englannd never win anything the exact opposite is true for every single other league on earth
The reality is that English football will become like the MLS in the USA. Good, but not amazing like it has been. Don't get me wrong - I follow the MLS every week. It's not necessarily a bad thing. But you'll get mainly English jobsworth players - and then a sprinkling of expensive European/South Americans on top ... elite players that meet the government's criteria. Meanwhile - in the EU, your Spains and Frances and Germanys will go about their business as usual ... acquiring all of the talent that's not allowed in the UK. Becoming stronger and stronger. Real Madrid and Bayern Munich must be rubbing their hands at the moment - an elite league is about to fart out some of its best players!
I love Copa90 and think they do some amazing reporting work, however, leave politics out of football! Being conservative, I have noticed that over the years, FIFA has positioned themselves as a brainwashed liberal organization. It is ruining football!
True but that's not because of the EU. It goes in Phases though.. Italy dominated then England then Spain now it's quite open really. Just England are shit.
Hi! nice video! please do more about 1. stadiums 2. asian football 3. SOUTH EAST ASIAN FOOTBALL 4. OCEANIA FOOTBALL (not just New Zealand, nations like Tahiti. Fiji, Tonga)
Thunder Thug why not? Copa 90 is the best Football Youtune Channel specially on Documentaries. Is it becaus we people here are less relevant? I trust copà 90 to have the knowledge and experience that they will.make an amazing video.. wether a top 5 or a docu
yeh oceanian football would be good. its crazy how far the likes of fiji and american samoa have come on in football in just a few years but theres a long way to go yet
OK this was a blatantly one-sided video, no need to guess what side you're on. There are way way too many foreigners in the Premier League and filtering down through the entire professional League system {Both Players and Managers!}. Hard Brexit AND Quota for non Brits {and non-Irish} in The Premier League/Football League - No more than 6 in a Squad! When England ruled the roost in the European Cup winning 6 in a row and 7 out of 8 titles - How many Players from outside The British Isles were in those Liverpool, Forest and Villa teams?
Brexit has so many brilliant implications for our county for example, saving billion of ponds a year that we pay into the EU or the fact we can vote for the people who make our laws again, rather than having unelected idiots for Europe, and I could go on! Why do we care about football so much, with so many positives when they'll all get work permits anyway.
You can vote for the people making laws in the EU. We don't directly appoint members of the cabinet, what is the difference considering they create laws?
Yer Da We don't elect our Prime Minister or our House of Lords either. we live in one of the least Democratic democracies in the world... Brexit voters will tell you it was about Sovereignty but really they dislike Foreigners... even though nearly all of English history is the story of different waves people coming to this rock. Personally i think the EU is corrupt as fuck, but not as Corrupt as Britain's own government. Purely for economic security and to stop the Tories having free reign over our laws I would have preferred remain.
Of course with Brexit, most, if not all clubs will loose millions in sponsorship! UK it's what it is now because it was in the EU! And this will have repercussions in Football as well! Sorry lads but that's the truth!
Adam Jones What? Historically South American players have been the best when it comes to football. Have you ever heard of Maradona and Pele? The two greatest of all time are from South America. The whole reason Europe is so good at football is due to its leagues and the fact that it's countries are rich and prosperous.
+Adam Jones south americans are literally dominating europe. Huguain,dybala,icardi,banega,dimari,gomez,messi,aguero,suarez,godin,cavani,neymar,silva,casdmerio,coutinho...on and on. the best players ever. messi, pele and maradonna were all south american
jammybizzle666 The question still stands btw - what are your 5 favourite things about the EU? It's all very well criticising me for how I voted but if you can't defend the thing you supposedly love so much then you're in no position to criticise.
I think this thing should've been sorted out before Brexit. There should be matchday squad rules, that say, for example, that you must have ATLEAST 6 english players in the 18 players matchday squad. That is 1/3, that is fair. Whether are those players in the starting XI or on the bench, it doesn't matter. That way, Premier League clubs would spend less money bringing in AVERAGE foreign players. I understand Martial, Kante, Hazard, etc are a WORLD CLASS players, but for years clubs have been buying injured FLOPS like Soldado, Falcao, etc only to have a kid named Harry Kane, Dele Alli or Marcus Rashford in their backyard or academy waiting for a chance. I'm not from England, but this type of rule should be added sooner rather than later. 6 english players out of 18 players in the matchday squad should be English and that way, there will be less problems with work permits, cause there will be less signings of average foreign players.
it's crazy to think if brexit is forced to the extreme southampton might win the league
eric crazy right
No, Arsenal would finally win a league title haha
eric Chelsea would
eric, Chelsea would finally play their youth players
*Spurs
WHO THE FUCK WANTS TO SEE 20 ENGLAND NATIONAL TEAMS PLAY 38 MATCHES EACH IN THE LEAGUE SEASON???
Well, thats what football was like before the Premier League and it was still pretty popular then
Y Cymro that's cos England didn't lose to Iceland back then
It really isn't
Ben Williams because your a Chelsea fan and you'll lose all your players 😂😂
Harvey Kraus they would finallt use thier great youth system ahah
I don't care about English talent, I want a better league. Without other European players, this league would be awful. I don't want to see Alan Pardew managing Manchester City and telling them to hoof long balls up the field all game.
Yes we want to see Alan Pardew at City

Gian C Well put. I believe that England are in a rut right now, but we just have to play our way out of this rut.
This is a good analogy, also Sir Alex was from the UK and he earned his place, then along came moyes and ruined united.
"It could give neymar his dream move to charlton" bravo, that was hilarious. The picture n everything
It’s finally looking up for charton fans up the addicks
If they have a hard brexit the Epl will just be a glorified Scottish premiership
any politician who tries to kick out Kante you done

Leroy Amon I think Moses counts as home grown anyway
The only reason the BPL is thought of so highly is because of the foreign players in it. Because England have produced nothing but shit apart from Harry Kane and Dele Ali for years now. So the league will become shit
The most exciting league will become the most boring league, thanks BREXIT.
Most players fall in to a tax bracket where they pay like 40% tax so the government would be at a massive lose and I wouldn't help the national team the reason that the top English clubs aren't full of English players isn't because there not given a go it's because there not good enough
Basically, the level of the premier league will decrease a lot, resulting in a weaker national team.
Local talent needs international players and managers to adapt the competitiveness
This came up in FM17, where England won the the world cup 8 years later.
Brexit = death of premier league.. More bang average raheem sterlings getting big moves to big clubs cuz of their nationality rather than quality.. Only 9 in the BPL? That's stupid that's almost half of the BPL managers are English
Teams can actually focus on development from within, which isn't a high priority for a lot of clubs nowadays.
This'll be great for Englands national team. Instead of Chelsea or Man City buying Batshuyai and Sané's. They'll let more English youth talent get first team chances.
Like who? fucking Andy from the nearby Tesco's
Bob Bob i've always rated Andy from Tesco tbf
I agree with this as a Chelsea fan, we have such an amazing youth academy but they just don't get the chance .
***** Man U was great when they had a bunch of English talent.
Son Goku They were allowed to buy youth players outside of Manchester in the UK, (like London with David Beckham) which isn't possible anymore.
this is great for england on international level
The idea that crappy English players and managers would be better because our leagues are worse is ludicrous. By having worse teams and worse players around all English players do worse!
WEXIT!
I wonder what will happen if Scotland gets independent and stays in the EU though? Like how will that effect the Scottish prem or will it at all?
Nope. Why should it? If Scotland is part of the EU there is no difference to now.
so brexit could mean shitter players and shitter managers. I keep saying it it's the fact English players aren't playing in other top leagues
English players won't get better because of less foreign competition, it will happen the other way around... To produce better players you guys need a better young national team structure.
Wtf, I don't care about our English players or managers! Bring in the foreign players!!!
Yahiko that's the mentality..
Read soccernomics. It makes the argument that with a decrease in foreign top flight players in the prem that the English players would be worse as well bc of the lack of higher levels of competition and fewer foreign coaches who coach better.
Vinko Pavlovic Please keep preaching. Many of these brits on here are straight up stupid.
A lack of foreign player doesn't hurt the Spanish or the French, why would it hurt us? 'Our coaches aren't good enough' is a pathetic excuse. Just improve like everyone else does.
yeah but the foreign players carry the english players
Agree absolutely. I see that every week in my local league where we have a restriction on 5 foreign players per team. It's a disgrace.
Wouldn't this just affect smaller clubs cause they aren't that rich
Regardless of your personal politics, can we give Copa 90 props for actually putting out a video about this? Given the horrific "stick to sports" nature directed at people whenever we have the audacity to talk about something outside of sport, it's nice to see Copa take a stand on that.
Not sure how'd i'd feel about an exemption at the same time we are having trouble hiring Nurses.
The true problem with the premier league is that in reality, it consists of only six teams. Really glad you brits are getting freedom from the 4 reich. Salute from Brazil
i dont care about the english national team etc i just want to enjoy the league
I would say this is racist, but English football needs to improve. Your last World Cup was won in 1966 with Sir Bobby Charlton. Look at him now! 😂
TheGrandChieftain it does, the youth players have talent, and when given chance can be pretty good, Kane , alli and rashford. It because of teams like chelsea and city who dont , who are ruining football
TheGrandChieftain I agree but about racism. That isn't racism
When the TV cam cup and you had the old style cartoons, did you just use Architects - "These colours don't run" music video?
Nothing will change!!!
Money talks......if Chelsea or City want a foreign player then they will pull the strings to get them.
This would probably HELP the English national team
Brexit= BPL in to MLS a league full of old players waiting to quit the game
Football makes huge amounts of capital for England and we control our borders now, it is not decided by what deal we get so there of course will be special exceptions for football. It will not change at all.
Prepare your anuses for the new Premier South American League
Why is the video an ad?
Footballers are rich, so they wouldn't be refused entry. When clubs had more english players, they use to do better in the Champions League anyway. No teams would be forced to have no foreign players, just give their own youth a chance.
So how is China signing all these big European superstars when they're not part of the EU?
The only good thing about Brexit is that it could British players a chance.
Hopefully this will help the national team.
Darn on my Celtic career mode on FM18 it appears I got a hard Brexit :(
Luckily I have already signed tons of top EU talent already
Let's hope brexit gets stopped
Nothing will happen. The BPL just signed a billion pound deal, and non-English players are the cause of that. The league's best talents are non-English, therefore one could argue that by limiting the free flow of player movements in and out of the country, you'd diminish the entertainment value the league provides for casuals as well as the prestige of the league. In short, this would cost the league and its distributors and sponsors money, thus it's not gonna happen.
so without young talent from the continent we can't have a good domestic league?
Whatever my personal opinion? What if my personal opinion is that Brexit isn't happening.
To be honest, you just gave us the worst possible outcome.
Fuck brexit we ain't gonna exit
you know there are more important things than football. Brexit is the best thing to happen to GB.
Footballers will enter Britain easily because they contribute loads to Tax
If there are more english youth in teams then english football will fall further behind the other top leagues
all you need to do is look at the best player in each position in the prem and youll see why englannd never win anything the exact opposite is true for every single other league on earth
Well I hope Jurgen is allowed to manage now after brexit cause if not then fuck brexit...
why does this guy sound like he's sick
Maybe more big talent will come to the USA instead of England
Sorry, but there are many leagues players would rather go to.
Chad Tropic you got Bradley Wright Phillips what more do you want
how does that make any sense, they will require a permit to play in the USA...
Chad Tropic Why did we introduce you to football again?
cold grey skies and the pallor of death*
The reality is that English football will become like the MLS in the USA. Good, but not amazing like it has been.
Don't get me wrong - I follow the MLS every week. It's not necessarily a bad thing.

I'm hella confused. Someone explain this to me in "dumb language"
If brexit destroys the premier league I will be so mad!
Nicholas Venderpeer-Boxall I won't
The best manager in World football history was British wasn't he? 😊
TacTicZz Yeah David Moyes is class.
TacTicZz yh sir Alex was Scottish ( I assume you are on about him)

UCL should kick all English teams out after they arent EU anymore.
Brexit means no more Champions League.
@@jonz8482 that won't happen because they're still in europe Israeli teams play in the UCL
scotland will leave uk

I feel brexit is a secret plan by Arsenal so they can finally win a league title xD
Hahaha Neymar, need him badly !
4N BOYZ!
Good on you for getting out of the failing institution that is EU. Waiting for Finland to do the same. #Fixit
Yeah, how cool would that be? Good luck then after you are out with Putin and Russia. Nobody in Europe would even take notice if Finland leaves.
irish rover No mate, since WW2. It's to do with general decency mostly, but also NATO and the UN not the EU. Also what about the Yugoslavic war?
MrAntifunctional Haha that hashtag is brilliant
nah won't be good for our UCL hopes maybe for England though but who cares.
English teams are shit on UCL anyway...
True but that's not because of the EU. It goes in Phases though.. Italy dominated then England then Spain now it's quite open really. Just England are shit.

This is basically what the EDL have been saying all along. Us Brits should have the best jobs and don't let foreigners in.
Immigrants are doing the jobs unemployed Brits feel to proud to do - what is your point?
Yer Da Ik I sound like a buzz kill but it's true Britain always needs an enemy so they can blame them when shit goes wrong.
Sorry I took this as you saying you deserve the best jobs. I get you meant the EDL say we should have the best jobs.
BREXIT MEANS BREXIT 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Lol at the OAP's and countryside people defending Brexit.
Don't think old people are subscribed to copa90 m8
From a 20 year old Brexiter, name your 5 favourite things about the EU.
Jim from a 20 year old idiot more like
jammybizzle666 OK, anything besides ad hominems? Any actual argument as to why my OPINION is wrong?
jammybizzle666 The question still stands btw - what are your 5 favourite things about the EU? It's all very well criticising me for how I voted but if you can't defend the thing you supposedly love so much then you're in no position to criticise.
Thats if it ever happens lol
Tottenham will win a trophy 😂
Brexit :(
Is it just me or does he have a cold? And if so why is he doing a commentary?
