After shooting I128, I thought there was another northbound train coming so I decided to head up to this crossing in Greenbrier for my next train. After a bit of waiting, however, I was able to catch a slightly different train than what I was expecting for my eighth train of the day: CSX I025 with a pair of ES44AHs leading an ET44AH on the head-end and CSX 1982, the Seaboard System heritage unit (another ES44AH), working as the mid-train DPU! Definitely another nice catch to have on this day.
After the crossing activates but before I025 starts blowing its horn, you can hear the defect detector a bit north of this crossing doing its entry message for the train.
This crossing is a pretty decent one, and I'm glad I got it recorded. The signals here were installed in the early-2000s by CSX and are thankfully still fairly original. In either the latter half of 2019 or early 2020, CSX upgraded this crossing to LED. Before or since then, however, nothing too major has changed to this crossing, thankfully. Although it definitely ain't the most interesting crossing out there, it is nice to see that it still retains both of its original diagonally-striped gate arms. It appears that recently, however, CSX restriped most of the back of the far signal's gate arm with some new diagonal striping. Strangely, the front of that gate arm, and both sides of the tip, still retain their original diagonal striping, along with the entire closer gate arm, despite the tips of both being noticeably faded these days. Still, it's nice to see that they're still around like this.

I wonder if CSX still uses WCH 2nd Gen LEDs, ‘cause last time I caught a train in Owassa, the crossing had a light blown out.

It seems they do on occasion. Most likely they'll replace it with a Leotek LED though.
