We Ski & Snowboard is genuinely one of my favorite games of all time (along with the original We Ski). They just went way above and beyond for a motion control wii balance board game, like a whole romance subplot? Secret hidden caves? Dozens of unlockable outfits? That's why Bandai Namco is one of my favorite game devs.

One of my favorite Wii games is the Endless Ocean games. Loved them as a teenager and every now and then I do get the urge to go back and play them. I honestly hope that there's a Switch version for these games.
No Donkey Kong Country Returns, no Kirby Return to Dreamland, no Sonic Colors and no Xenoblade Chronicles. ... Okay, good list anyway, there are some really good hidden gems here :D BUT THERE NO EXCUSE FOR THE LACK OF GO VACATION.

Personally one of my favorite non-mainstream games for the Wii is Okami, which I know was not originally for the Wii (Published on PS2 first) but the game fits right in with motion controls. It's basically Japanese mythology overload and both me and my sister are really into it.
I assume you were joking but Breath of the Wild, Wind Waker HD, Twilight Princess HD, Mario 3D World, Smash Bros, MK 8, Splatoon, Mario Maker, Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2, Monster Hunter 3U, Wonderful 101, Tokyo Mirage Session, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Nintendo Land, New Super Mario/Luigi U, Tropical Freeze, Pikmin 3, etc. wasn't a bad line up at all. There was a lot of flaws with the marketing and design of the Wii U but it really did deserve more then it got.

I enjoyed the video! I feel like the Wii was so under-appreciated because of its “childish” game selection. But I think that adults can have just as much fun with it as most kids! Furthermore, the Wii revolutionized the concept of motion controls in games, and without it, we probably wouldn’t have VR such as Oculus Rift and Vive.

MH Tri was good, and Xenoblade Chronicles is perhaps my favorite game ever, but The Last Story... No. The combat was not terribly fun or strategic, the music and environments were not that interesting, but the biggest sin was the story. I didn't like the main character, heroine, or Dagran, arguably the three most important characters of the game. I saw the twist at the end about 2 hours before it happened, in a twenty hour game. And I almost never see twists happening. The plot wasn't that interesting either, which comes mostly back to the characters because its hard to care about what's happening if you have no investment in the characters. Sorry about the rant, I just haven't really had much chance to rant about The Last Story before. Anyhow, Xenoblade Chronicles and MH Tri, fantastic games. The Last Story, not my favorite.
Sonic and the Secret Rings is the worst Sonic game I've ever played and that's really saying something. It's one of the only games I ever sold immediately after buying.
Is it just me, or are lists with more personal choices more interesting to watch then lists with entries you'd expect? It's really interesting to me whenever someone gives a backstory for why they feel something is very entertaining.
Have you ever heard of Endless Ocean: Blue World? Its the best exploration game I have played on the Wii. It has amazing music, great graphics for the Wii, you treasure hunt, discover new creatures, and you can even tame dolphins!
Yes Zelda has puzzles, but next to many other gameplay elements, like exploring and combat. Plus they're usually pretty easy. Pure puzzle games are quite a different breed.
@@Christopher-md7tf Not to mention even when a puzzle in Zelda is somewhat difficult, you usually have a good idea of what tools to use because you got said tools in the current dungeon, detracting from some of the difficulty before the puzzle even begins. Whereas a more wholehearted puzzle game wouldn't give you the luxury of that kind of telegraphing, aside from the introduction of said tools.
@@gurvmlk True. Which is why I liked BotW's approach to puzzles. But in terms of difficulty, the only really hard puzzle from the series I can even recall would be the two stone statues in TP. Otherwise, nothing in Zelda even comes close to what pure puzzle games like The Witness or Baba is You demand of your brain cells.

Not as good as the first cuz Colette and Lloyd are better than Emil and Marta; the story in the 1st was better and the graphics were better/more stylistic (if you ask me) and many other arguable topics. But it still holds a special place in my heart (and Wii game library) :)
Well, I didn't really like the monsters mechanics, but it's definitly not a bad game for sure. And a must play on the wii in my opinion. Even if I would recommend to have Okami to any wii game collection. That game is so gorgeous !
I think Go Vacation would have been a better entry than the SnowBoarding one. Because Go Vacation is exactly the same, and I mean exactly the same, except it has three new areas. Fun right!
He made it pretty clear at the beginning this was based on his own weird personal taste, and he didn't want any of the obvious games on it. That allowed him to give a spotlight to some games that don't get as much attention and probably just allowed him to have more fun with the list.

I enjoyed the video! I feel like the Wii was so under-appreciated because of its “childish” game selection. But I think that adults can have just as much fun with it as most kids! Furthermore, the Wii revolutionized the concept of motion controls in games, and without it, we probably wouldn’t have VR such as Oculus Rift and Vive.

MH Tri was good, and Xenoblade Chronicles is perhaps my favorite game ever, but The Last Story... No. The combat was not terribly fun or strategic, the music and environments were not that interesting, but the biggest sin was the story. I didn't like the main character, heroine, or Dagran, arguably the three most important characters of the game. I saw the twist at the end about 2 hours before it happened, in a twenty hour game. And I almost never see twists happening. The plot wasn't that interesting either, which comes mostly back to the characters because its hard to care about what's happening if you have no investment in the characters.
Sorry about the rant, I just haven't really had much chance to rant about The Last Story before.
Anyhow, Xenoblade Chronicles and MH Tri, fantastic games. The Last Story, not my favorite.

Is it just me, or are lists with more personal choices more interesting to watch then lists with entries you'd expect? It's really interesting to me whenever someone gives a backstory for why they feel something is very entertaining.
Have you ever heard of Endless Ocean: Blue World? Its the best exploration game I have played on the Wii. It has amazing music, great graphics for the Wii, you treasure hunt, discover new creatures, and you can even tame dolphins!

It’s an adventure game, not a puzzle game.
Yes Zelda has puzzles, but next to many other gameplay elements, like exploring and combat. Plus they're usually pretty easy. Pure puzzle games are quite a different breed.
@@Christopher-md7tf Not to mention even when a puzzle in Zelda is somewhat difficult, you usually have a good idea of what tools to use because you got said tools in the current dungeon, detracting from some of the difficulty before the puzzle even begins. Whereas a more wholehearted puzzle game wouldn't give you the luxury of that kind of telegraphing, aside from the introduction of said tools.
@@gurvmlk True. Which is why I liked BotW's approach to puzzles. But in terms of difficulty, the only really hard puzzle from the series I can even recall would be the two stone statues in TP. Otherwise, nothing in Zelda even comes close to what pure puzzle games like The Witness or Baba is You demand of your brain cells.
@@Christopher-md7tf I've never played those puzzle games. For me, whenever I think of these kinds of puzzle games, the franchises that come to my mind are usually Adventures of Lolo, and the infinitely more casual Klonoa.

Not as good as the first cuz Colette and Lloyd are better than Emil and Marta; the story in the 1st was better and the graphics were better/more stylistic (if you ask me) and many other arguable topics. But it still holds a special place in my heart (and Wii game library) :)

He made it pretty clear at the beginning this was based on his own weird personal taste, and he didn't want any of the obvious games on it. That allowed him to give a spotlight to some games that don't get as much attention and probably just allowed him to have more fun with the list.
