Lazy Cake Blondies - an easy 5 ingredient, 5 minute dessert that you will absolutely love and great to have on hand in the freezer for last minute guests.
250 g packet cookie biscuits of choice
    ¼ cup unsalted butter
    ½ cup brown sugar
    1 can sweetened condensed milk (300 g)
    ½ tsp salt
    More salt for topping
Prepare a loaf pan lined with plastic wrap. Prepare the cookie biscuits by breaking them with your hands until they are all broken in rough pieces and set aside.
In a medium sized pot on medium high heat melt the butter. Add in brown sugar and whisk until combined. Then pour in the sweetened condensed milk and whisk it in well. Add in salt and whisk. Take off heat.
Pour in the broken cookies and coat with the brown sugar mixture evenly with a rubber spatula. Scrape out the batter in to the prepared loaf pan and pack it down well. Sprinkle more salt on top and use the sides of the plastic wrap to cover the top. Freeze for a minimum of 5 hours or until sold. Serve cold.

@@davethespave blondie in baking terms is something that is made with brown butter. Brown butter is just butter that's been lightly simmered till it turns brownish. Its has a mild sweetness and almost smokey in flavour.
This def still has a lot of dairy. so I'd avoid anything w "Blondie" in it, even cookies.

In Romania we call this a 'biscuits salami'! A childhood treat tbh, and it's on the easy one as well, since it doesn't require baking. A classic version for us is done with cocoa, biscuits, turkish delight and/or nuts! Great to see a new idea!

@@glocku373 it has different names in Germany. And there are different explanations for them. e. G.:
The big company Bahlsen told a recipe with their cookies 1920.
In mines there is a wagon called "Hunt" or "Hund" (which means dog in German), which looks like a loaf pan cake --> Kalter Hund
Some say the feeling while eating it reminds them of a dogs cold nose --> Kalter Hund/cold dog
It was usually brought to the basement over night --> Kellerkuchen/basement cake
And soldiers of WW1 knew a recipe with bread, coffee and sugar they called "Kalter Hund".

It’s called like that because the company Calvé (now known for peanut butter and mayo and other big unilever items) created the character called Arretje. In Germany we call this "kalter Hund". The name resulted from the fact that in the past there were small wagons used in mining. They were called 'Hunte'. "Kalt" means "cold". By now most people do not know the names origin and think of the word "Hund" which simply means "dog". It is a little confusing... but really tasty, too.
