Okay...so: Child support in a 50/50 is a touchy subject but understandable if certain things happened. 1) theres a huge disparity of wealth/income 2) one parent isnt able to work, likely due to age of child, but evem if they are able to work, see above. Now. She is engaged and is trying to feed a family of 5. This isnt OPs or the parent paying CS's fault. A few hundred for groceries and other necessities is fine, again, see the first criteria. Any arguements about if one parent should pay CS in 50/50 is a dangerous topic as many are more focused on sticking it to the other parent. Okay...so:
Child support in a 50/50 is a touchy subject but understandable if certain things happened.
1) theres a huge disparity of wealth/income
2) one parent isnt able to work, likely due to age of child, but evem if they are able to work, see above.
Now. She is engaged and is trying to feed a family of 5. This isnt OPs or the parent paying CS's fault. A few hundred for groceries and other necessities is fine, again, see the first criteria.
Any arguements about if one parent should pay CS in 50/50 is a dangerous topic as many are more focused on sticking it to the other parent.
Of course, how the parents coparent and get along affects this decision.
Support 2 other children that are not biologically yours, uh that's a HUGE NO. Go for full custody of your son Max and leave the problem in your rearview mirror.
