You don't have to be rich to own original artwork. Even in a small to mid-sized city there are local artists whose prices are within most people's budget. I have artist friends so I'm lucky enough to have been gifted with art pieces. You can also find one-of-kind pottery and paintings in second-hand stores.

I love this home-- very tasteful and unpretentious for a celebrity home. Some of these homes from the "Golden Age" of Hollywood, were to scale and quite lovely. Love the backyard, lovely to grow one's own avocadoes. Plus great pool! I could easily live there ;)

I just discovered your channel and I love your commentary, Vanessa Hudgens house and style is my favorite so far. I laughed pretty good when you made the comment about the headboard missing. 😂
The muted, sage green kitchen is beautiful, I'll die on that hill. I will disagree with you on this one because the muted colour makes it more timeless.
@@mrphoenixgrey Exactly, it brings it into a neutral territory that green and blue can pull. In their muted, or very deep variants, they're just as neutral as gray, or white, even more than black I'd argue as they are both so ubiquitous in nature. If it was a saturated emerald green, maybe less so. This soft sage is pretty timeless. We've seen it in almost every decade and style of design.
My first impression was one of surprise; it actually felt homey and not overdone; full of character and charm. I like how simple the living room is and how it’s filled with pieces full of history. Its light and bright and welcoming. It seems like she is actuallly filling her home with pieces she truly loves, instead of just having the latest, greatest, and trendiest pieces. Lol couldn’t help but notice the bowl of lemons and limes 😂 must be an AD signature staging piece 😂 😂 I love the rustic feel of the kitchen, with the green cabinets and the gorgeous work table in the middle of the room. I wonder if she (along with other people featured on AD) was on AD for exposure to help sell the property…

First comment! I love your velour jacket: the colour is beautiful.
Love the bathroom tiles myself but the green of the wallpaper isn’t quite right. The Dining room LACKS romance; it needs a better color and upholstered chairs. The rattan chair? Move it out front or back. Otherwise she could go bolder w the green in the kitchen. Lovely spaces.
Design Daddy's velvet jacket is the best part, in terms of sexual stimulation, hands down. The coffee table is the right size, shape, color, etc., but a dark stained pine, just looks cheap. The tile would have looked much better with A LOT of that same exact green in the paper. A hint of that color and it still looks out of place. I have to agree with you now that I’ve watched through it again. There are a lot of elements in there, but you’re right, it feels like it’s missing something. Either something to ground the center, or even a colour on the ceiling or wallpaper I feel could have made a real wow factor 👍🏼👍🏼

The skillset it takes to create great wealth or achievement doesn't necessarily translate into having great vision for a home. The other way to look at it, they are employing many people in the design space who without them wouldn't make a living.
