Excellent video - thanks for doing it. Three points would like to add. 1: My case had a screw under the Hormann badge which you obviously have to remove before you can unclip the cover. 2: Darrens comment "having to press the key button twice when using the pad the first time." - I missed that in the video and went around the loop 3 times before I got it to work. 3: My lower buttons were generally getting very very hard to use. I took the PCB off inside and cleaned up the gold contacts under the rubber keys with a little paint thinner as they were which were a bit dirty - works a treat now. Thanks again
Thanks so much. Was going mad trying to follow the instructions in the manual. The only thing that still caught me out was, once it was all set up, having to press the key button twice when using the pad the first time.
This unit will also work with series 2 hand transmitters in pretty much the same way. The series 2 hand transmitters don't need to flash red and blue and the FCT should pick up the code as soon as you press the hand transmiiter button. It is not compatible with older series 1 grey button hand transmitters.
Hannah Bull As far as I am aware, the only way to change the access code is to follow the reset procedure by holding down the '0' button and inserting the batteries. see our video for more information ua-cam.com/video/MYEgyrDoId4/v-deo.html
You can change the numerical access code the same way you would set it up initially, as shown in this video. If you need to delete a transmitter code you would need to reset the unit then go through the setup procedure again: ua-cam.com/video/MYEgyrDoId4/v-deo.html
Where is a video explaining how to programme the keypad to the main Horman unit, not the remote transmitter My door is driving me nuts and there are no videos out there about reprogramming the KeyPad unit
I'm sure you found your answer already but for others, like me, who are wondering the same thing.. On a series 3 or 4 opener, hold PRG until 00 appears, press UP til it reaches 11, press PRG so it flashes slowly, then enter your code on the pin pad and hold the KEY 🔑 button down and keep holding it. The light on the pin pad is solid blue, then rapid flashing blue, hen off, then red blue alternating. At that point the operator 11 should flash quickly. You can release the KEY 🔑 button on the pin pad and it is programmed in
It can be a bit tricky to get the cover off, especially if the device is attached to the wall. You need to pull the cover out to the sides first, where the '1' and '3' digits are. Then you can pull it off.

Hello, how about longevity and battery life when using outdoors? Does the winter kill the batteries? Did it rust quickly? Thank you
Thank you, you saved me a lot of trouble!
I have Hormann FCT3b-868 keypad. Can I able to program the keypad directly with the gate opener without the hand transmitter?
Yes. You can hold down the key button once you have typed in your code and it works in exactly the same way as a hand transmitter.
Thx, you saved my life 😉👍🏻
Hi is it possible to perform this operation using an old Hörmann 0437442 remote to transmit the odes rather than the bisecur one shown in the video?

Thank you very much ! That was not simple to operate with the Hormann Manual.
hell yeah!!
Hi is there a way of just changing the keycode without resetting the whole thing ?

Was ist wenn die Batterie ausfählt oder wechseln muss, muss ich den Taster neu programmieren
The keypad should retain all the settings if the batteries fail.
this one works only with hormann ?
Yes these units are only compatible with Hormann series 2, series 3 and series 4 systems.
How to change the code?

Your method to open the keypad unfortunately does not work. What a shit design.
