Some of the songs in their first 3 albums (Kill 'Em All, Ride The Lightning and Master of Puppets) were written by these guys when they were teenagers. When they recorded Ride The Lightning, the band members were in their very early 20s. They knew no music theory, with the exception of the mind blowing bassist, Cliff Burton who opened up so many new windows for them to look out of at music. Their music was created with nothing but pure, raw and explosive talent. Unfortunately, Cliff died in a bus crash in 1986... R.I.P These first 3, even 4 albums (4th being "...And Justice For All") are simply flawless. Mid to late 1980s Metallica was the golden age of metal music and those 4 albums are in their own league of greatness. You can listen through the entire albums without getting bored or let down. I want to put a lot of emphasis on the following songs: Master of Puppets | Orion | Welcome Home (Sanitarium) | The Thing That Should Not Be | For Whom The Bell Tolls | Ride The Lightning | Call of Ktulu | One | To Live Is To Die | ...And Justice For All | Blackened You do not necessarily have to react to them. But I highly recommend at least listening to them in your free time. Orion, Call of Ktulu and To Live Is To Die are Cliff Burton's amazing creations. Instrumentals that are simply mind blowing. Even today, I almost can't believe that 4 young adults wrote these.
I think another good song is the bass solo called Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth) from Kill 'Em All, as well as the bass in The Four Horsemen, which is one of my favorite songs because you can hear the bass clearly.
Sorry for posting three comments back to back but as I get farther into the reaction I just can’t not post... your face when the guitar hits is amazing like... I love the fact that you’re so genuine and I can tell by looking in your face you love the music and that’s why I love watching your reactions keep doing you girl so proud for you

That was awesome to watch your enjoyment, let’s just say if you love guitar work and change in tempos you’re gonna love Metallica. “One “ should be the next Metallica song you react to.
Well, that's another one down the rabbit hole, welcome, relax and enjoy the trip. It's always good to see someone discover that Metal is a LOT more than just the heavier stuff, truthfully it's one of the most complex and complete genres of music out there.
You'll want to check out 'ONE' by Metallica. To me more epic than fade to black, and will give you a little taste of metal. But you should do lyric video. Metallicas lyrics are usually quite meaningful.
If you do react to One, try not to do the music video version of the song, do a lyrics on screen version. There are clips from a movie spliced into the video, and it can be very distracting from the music. Interesting to watch after you've heard the song for the first time.
@@JeremyLeeCollins I love the video and it does distract from the awesome music in the song. But after hearing one the video to me just adds an intensity to it.
Ride the Lightning is in the TOP 3 of all their albums, regardless of order or metalhead. My personal list also includes Master of Puppets and The Black Album. All of their music is awesome, and it depends on the day and my mood which leads the pack, but these 3 will never steer you wrong when you need music to calm the beast, or to energize yourself for whatever you're doing. I hope that you continue with your Metallica journey for many happy years.
Those are my favorite three Metallica albums too. I know everybody hates "The Black Album, but F-em it's still a perfect album... just a commercial/radio hit is all.
"Ride the Lightning" is my fav album from Metallica. This song is such a great ballad., but my fav song from this album is "Trapped Under Ice" which doesn't get a whole lotta reactions. This whole album is perfect, same with "Master Of Puppets"
This song is a ballad, meaning its more laid back and a slower tempo than just regular metal. Metallica has quite a few ballads. Other Metallica, especially their first 5 albums, is a lot heavier and faster paced
Very nice reaction video, I like how you got excited and even surprised about this new music for you. If you want to hear more Metallica (it's a band), and some nice guitars, here are few recommendations to listen: - Unforgiven. Based on this reaction video, you might like this. Slow melodic, different guitar sounds, solos etc. - Creeping Death Live Moscow 1991. Especially this live version. Legendary historic concert with amazing crowd. But be warned, it's much more fast heavy than the previous ones. Still worth to see, if it wouldn't be your top choice of music. - One. Again, if you liked the guitar sounds, this is cool. Mix of some melodic and heavy stuff, and there's emotional story behind the piece and lyrics. Official music video tries to describe the story, but missing lyrics though.
Welcome to the biggest, best and most famous rabbit hole in the street called music....the one of Metallica...🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘.....you have at least 55-65 metal bangers from Metallica in front of you....next one; Master of Puppets....and by the way; never....I mean never....stop the reaction during their guitar solos 😊

If you want to hear some ladies killing a guitar solo, check out Lovebites (the whole band is Japanese women, but lyrics are in English). They play mostly heavy metal. Here's one where the two soloists both harmonize & duel in their joint "solo" ("When Destinies Align"): ua-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/v-deo.html A heavier song with separate, more show-off-ey style solos is "Thunder Vengeance (Live)": ua-cam.com/video/yWE7PqCpGi4/v-deo.html
Liked your open and emotional reaction! Recommend to check out lyrics (as a lyric video or after listening), they'll add to the experience from the song.
If you love guitar solos that much then you have to listen to Iron Maiden. The best band in this world. There is actually a good solo in almost every song. ^^ But you still have to start with "Hallowed Be Thy Name". Do Maiden always live! Nice greetings from Germany. :)

@@ValenciaGamble if you try ONE next and then 'For Whom the Bell Tolls' and then 'master of puppets', it will get you a gradual feel for metal. Some soft and melodic, some groovy and heavy and some speed. But trust me those songs are very dynamic and interesting. Then if you like it you can try something heavier and faster. If you go too early on the faster stuff it might be overwhelming. But unlike some other metal bands, Metallica is very musical, while also being heavy and fast. It's why they are so damn good. Hope you enjoy.
Great reaction I’m glad you liked the song. If you like a good guitar solo listen to Domination by Pantera (live version in Moscow 1991) Dimebag Darrel is in my opinion the greatest guitarist of all time!🤘🏼⚡️

I appreciate your reaction to this, but you only listened to 2/3rds of the song. While you were enjoying the vocals and guitar music, you TOTALLY MISSED out the lyrical content of song. Do you know this song was about suicide? Did you get that the singer was talking about how his life was hell and detailed his life through certain verses until the last line where he says “goodbye “, which at that point he’s committed suicide. The instrumentation is something that conveys an emotional ride through the actions of the person leaving this world. Most just HEAR a guitar solo, but it’s way deeper than that and that’s the genius about Metallica in a lot of their music is that they’re very cerebral and have meaningful music.
