Expected to finally go into production in 2022, the new Tesla Roadster will reportedly make use of lightweight lithium-ion batteries along with Tesla's Plaid powertrain.
About three years ago, Tesla announced the impending arrival of the second generation avatar of the Tesla Roadster. Well, that has not happened yet, but it seems our dear old Elon Musk knows just how to keep the buzz going nonetheless. The plaque displayed along with the new Roadtser prototype reads the upcoming EV will be able to accelerate from 0 mph to 60 mph (96.56 km/h) in JUST 1.1 seconds. Yep, go ahead and take a moment to let that sink in.
Now, this rather intriguing bit of information appears to be in sync with older reports that the company could offer the upcoming Tesla Roadster EV with a SpaceX package.
Now, compared to the current model, the new Roadster does not appear to come sporting any important design or styling changes or even any updates in the cabin. We reckon people won't be paying nearly as much attention to that as they would to the Tesla Roadster SpaceX package.
Expected to finally go into production in 2023, the new Tesla Roadster will reportedly make use of lightweight lithium-ion batteries along with Tesla's Plaid powertrain. Interestingly, without the SpaceX package, the Roadster will still offer a mind-boggling 0 km/h to 100 km/h acceleration time of 1.9 seconds.

It's a simulation of the theoretical 0 to top speed, which is something like 250mph it does it in 20 seconds or so, something stupid like that

Tesla is by far the best automotive and tech company in the world. Tesla will soon release new technologies, car models, new FSD version and much more. The supply doesn't meet the high demand and that says it all. Investing in Tesla is a good investment for the future and for the environment.
I can't wait for Tesla to start delivering the new car models of Cybertruck, Semitruck and roadster - this could be huge for the company and industry.

@@graylingdahlen8871 The only test for sub 1.7 was a downslope and prepped. We've never seen a prepped roadster test, and these numbers were from the prototype 5 years ago.

How come tesla can figure out how to make a car fast but can't find a way to install a charge system on the car that runs off a gear or something to charge the car while it's moving it would be endless power and no stopping I know it can be done
