I was suddenly reminded of this song today. I remember being 12 and watching these videos desperate to be loved. I always kept saying "when I go to high school". Well, high school is over now. I can not tell you how much I wanted my own teenage love story. 8 years later, I have never had a crush, or a boyfriend, or even a first kiss. I'm already an adult so I will never get to go through teenage love. Sometimes the realisation of having lost that makes my chest hurt but it's okay. I'm glad I didn't force myself to be with someone just to fit society. I know there's a high chance I'll find someone at some point in my life but sometimes I'm still sad I didn't go through teenage love, it's said to be the most violent love of them all. Had I gotten my heart broken, I might've turned out different.
