One of the best places to live in NY is White Plains NY. Its a small city with a town like vibe. The area you were in around 7 min in the video-is full of bars and clubs thruout the street. Its gorgeous in the summer-that street is usually packed. One of my friends from Harlem was amazed at how clear it is to see the stars at night-out here in White Plains. Its the type of area to raise a family-crime rate low and people are friendly
I grew up here. I miss my hometown so much. I recently moved to Delaware. I was working on Main Street near Mamaroneck Avenue. Really miss White Plains 😢❤
I love it! I live in white plains as well, and let me tell you in the summer, the views are even better plus there’s more people. During the winter it look kinda depressing, but trust me it’s a different atmosphere in the summer♥️
White Plains is kind of like a “secret”. It really is like it’s own city in another part of America ….but located in the NYC geographical area…..But the difference is that it’s actually more busy and more lively than other cities like St. Louis and Memphis which are dying cities suffering from population decline
Nice video. There are other cities in the area you should visit if you haven't, whether they're nice or not. There are Yonkers, Mount Vernon, New Rochelle, and Peekskill. North of Westchester feels more like the countryside, including the cities. Visit Newburgh, Beacon and Poughkeepsie, we have Puerto Ricans and Dominicans up here.
I live there currently and it’s not at all quiet. They are building new apartments and demolishing all the old brick buildings to bring in younger people. The reason it looks quite in this video is because the video was done in the middle of winter during a pandemic.
Grew up in Rye, Portchester and White Plains. I miss home so bad. I lived right across the street from Tibbets Park on N. Broadway ( 16) Now I'm in Pittsburgh,Pennsylvania . I miss my home.

Hmm, kind of mid-size tidy nice city with a small town vibe....I would like to see tables with umbrellas on front of the restaurants like in Stamford, CT and the Coconut Grove area of Miami. 😊
I was there for the first time a few days ago. It’s actually nice overall. Great location. In my opinion this is one of the best areas to live in America.
You for got mention about the 8 Thrid Avenue Elevated line that used to run under neath the 2 5 lines if you ever ride the metro North railroad to white plains road new York city get of at Gun Hill Road on the Harlem metro North in the Bronx and you will see half of the track frames trestles.
That’s the nice unique thing about the NYC area. In the rest of America, public transportation is below average. You would have to go to Europe or Asia to have that level of convenience
Great video Manny. I visited White Plains for the first time back on 12/15/2018. Like you, I took the express out of Grand Central and found my way around very nicely. I visited the Galleria Mall and took pictures of the center court and all the holiday decorations. I also have never forgotten seeing a beautiful girl on the platform of the Metro North station as I was leaving town. We both got on the 2:59pm express back to GCT. She was blonde with a blue parka and every time I come back, I always think of her. The other thing I love about the city( besides the blonde) is all the different transit options available. The Hudson Link bus goes into Rockland county and the CT Transit 971 runs to Stamford.
Yeah whiteplains is dope my Grammy lives out there owning a apartment out there is a goal of mines as well she did alot of real-estate in GA but she moved up here to NY and stayed I think that apt is one of her last few R.E investments last time I went to see it it looked better cause she did refurbishment in it
Once upon a time, there was a grand old apartment building called The Carraway, located in the quaint town of West Harrison. It was home to many happy residents, who loved the spacious apartments, the lush gardens, and the friendly community. But there was one thing that the residents of The Carraway dreaded more than anything else: the monthly dog fee. You see, many of the residents of The Carraway were dog owners, and the building management had implemented a monthly fee for pet owners. The fee was steep, and many of the residents found it difficult to afford. But the residents of The Carraway were nothing if not resourceful. They knew that there was a loophole in the building's pet policy: support animals were exempt from the monthly fee. And so, the residents of The Carraway set out to turn their beloved pets into support animals. The first thing they did was to create their own "official" paperwork, complete with fancy letterhead and official-looking stamps. They declared that their dogs were "emotional support animals," and that they were necessary for their mental well-being. The residents of The Carraway were nothing if not creative. They came up with all sorts of reasons why their dogs were "essential" for their emotional well-being. One resident declared that her dog was a "certified cuddler," and that the dog's presence was necessary for her to feel safe and secure. Another resident declared that his dog was a "certified stress reliever," and that the dog's presence was necessary for him to be able to function in his daily life. The building management was dubious at first, but the residents of The Carraway were so convincing that they soon relented. They allowed the residents to keep their dogs without paying the monthly fee. But the residents of The Carraway's victory was short-lived. You see, the building management soon discovered that the "official" paperwork was fake. The residents of The Carraway were caught red-handed and were forced to pay the monthly fee after all. But the residents of The Carraway didn't let this setback get them down. They knew that where there's a will, there's a way. And so, they came up with a new plan. This time, they decided to turn their dogs into "certified therapy animals." They printed out new "official" paperwork, complete with fancy letterhead and official-looking stamps, and declared that their dogs were "certified therapy animals," and that they were necessary for their physical well-being. The building management was skeptical at first, but the residents of The Carraway were so convincing that they soon relented. They allowed the residents to keep their dogs without paying the monthly fee. And so, the residents of The Carraway lived happily ever after, with their beloved pets by their side and without having to pay the monthly fee. Moral of the story: When life gives you lemons, make fake paperwork and turn your lemons into "emotional support animals" or "certified therapy animals" and avoid paying the monthly fee.
Nice empty city with wide streets. Felt like the star wars 1 party scene ... Remember that scene alien party scene... Yeah that's it.. and way fewer people. Forest hills, and Queens hahaha not even close ....now that's lot of BS.... Please walk any area between metropolitan avenue and Queens Blvd of forest hills. Only place in NYC that has mutli million dollar Tudors and very large trees... That's forest hills... Maybe you meant rego park or lefrak city . Hahaha. It's like saying white plains is like Scarsdale hahaha there is reason Scarsdale has one of the highest real estate taxes in NYS !!!!!! East NY has better night life! Go do a video of Nyack across the new Tapanzee bridge ... Hahaha nutty video... Take any day (except for a big snow storm) of the year and you will see more fun people in Cold Spring,NY and much better crowd then in much closer White plains hahaha...
