I love it! I'm in Barranco right now, but am leaving in a couple of days headed to Miraflores. I might have to make my way back to Barranco just to visit some of the places you mentioned, looks like so much fun. Thank you for sharing.

IN BARRANCO IS THE BEST RESTAURANT ALL OVER THE WORLD CALLED "CENTRAL " AND IS THE RESIDENCE OF OUR NOBEL PRIZE MARIO VARGAS LLOSA AND THE HOME OF OUR FAMOUS SINGER CHABUCA GRANDA AND MORE WONDERFUL ARTIST.
I would love to visit Central some time it's just so hard to get in at this point. Some day I hope!
Inside of Musica Criolla/Creole Music there are sub-genres like Peruvian Walltz/Vals Criollo, Música Afro/Afro-Peruvian Music, Peruvian Polka. Festejo is inside of Afro-Peruvian music and has a happier lyrics and beat than the rest of Afro-Peruvian variables. Festejo means "Celebration" so dancing it, it's fun. So, the list of Afro-Peruvian artists is huge, in the Coast region, specially. Even, the African influence is present in Andean culture through some Andean Folk Dances because Andean people and Afro-Peruvians run into they shared the same situation about the denying of their rights by almost 300years although Andean people had a better treatment than them. Btw. There's also, Afro-Peruvian cuisine and it's delicious. Greetings ! :)
