Excellent video...this is what the rest of us that are waiting for a Maverick have been curious about. Does one bike fit fully diagonal without any tire hanging off the tailgate?
@@JB-yb4we ua-cam.com/video/TEaefomMTF8/v-deo.html at 4:55 he does the test. The answer to your question, no. But I don’t know what kind of bikes you ride nor do I know anything about dirt bikes. 😂
Great video, make more of them. Looked perfect for 2 guys, their bikes and gear, with the right trailer 4. Love the lack of ramp angle, and on that hill it looked like you wouldn’t even need a ramp to offload.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! I have been waiting for someone to load a motorcycle into the back of one of these compact trucks. I have a trackbike that is about the length of your Yz125. I have been debating between the Maverick or the Santa Cruz.
@armydog1002 because of tonneau cover you probably won't be able to fit dirt bike in santa cruz. Bed has similar lenght, but its measured below tonneau
That'll work! My next new to me truck. Going to try n find a low mileage used one. Hit the hills on an angle and you'll have less chance of dragging the front or back of the truck. Great video
I started out just wanting a XL, but had no choice but to upgrade to a XLT as a cruise control was a must for me also. Can't believe no control offered in the XL. Most all new small cars have them. Disappointed Ford used that to force buyers to move up to a XLT. Great video, wanted to see a 4-wheeler loaded.
Thanks for posting the video, you answered the question I randomly thought about and wanted answered. I'm happy that two fit safely in at the least and space for other cargo! So cool!
Thanks for showing that! My two main deals would be getting 2 bikes in and a 4x8 sheet of plywood. Since I don't have a toyhauler that would likely work for me. I currently have a GMC with 250K on the clock. Will have to drive one. My wife likes my current one on the highway though, but at 14mpg it drinks the gas!
Nice 300! Two-strokes forever! Looks like your wells are preventing the front wheels pointing away from each other, which may let the 3rd bike’s rear wheel to come between and get farther in. Can you roll the front wheels onto the wheel wells? Your pegs are also good tie down points. Instead of noisy K02’s you can check out BFG’s new Trail Terrains. I just put these on my R21 Ridgeline and they’re barely louder than the stock all-seasons. The K02s on our Toyota are super loud and they’re just okay in the snow. Have fun with your truck!
2 strokes are the only way tooo goooo! Oh yah I’ll do it like they next time thanks for the idea! And I haven’t tried but I will. Hmmm we’ll I was thinking ko2’s or even duratracs I run them on my other truck and dads truck They do have some road noise as well tho but I don’t mindddd.
Great video. I dont have dirt bikes but I have a few motorcycles and I have been hesitant about this truck because of the bed length. looks like I have nothing to worry about. thank you for making this video man
Wow great job! I have one on order since July 9th. No build date yet. I might have to travel to find one on a dealership lot somewhere for the one I want. Atleast a Lariat FX4. Living in Minnesota I need that awd.
Did you end up putting the Yamaha rear tire in between the ktm front tires? Like the Yamaha all the way up to the box. That would give you the few inches to get your ramp in and out.
Hey did you buy the car without checking it out in person or did you test drive it? Cause right now that woould be my only option if I were to get it now
Thanks for the video. I have been looking for something different that gets better fuel economy than my full size Ram with the 5.7 Hemi engine. I generally just use it to haul my bikes but at around 15 mpg, its not great for those long trips when we go out of state to ride. I figured the Maverick bed would be too small but you proved me wrong. Just curious, what kind of fuel mileage do you get on the highway when traveling with two bikes in the bed?
@@danieldeliverz3642 My Titan is nice for hauling my 300rr and gear around but since I'm not towing anything its a little over kill. Raced in OK, Louisiana, Colorado, and mostly Texas last year and could use a break on gas these days.
dude put the 2 bikes straight looking foward forming a V shape so handle bars dont touch, yes they will be to the sides but in my opinion its much better, in the middle put bike 3 backwards but it will go till the end of the bed. Then squeeze the 2 rear tires from the outside to each other.
I would say you should be fine I had a Full race quad and my full body weight on the tail gate and it felt very sturdy. I have a video coming out where I fit two quads in the back
@@metricwrencher8702 thank God, that was my concern. Seeing what u did it will probably be fine. My ridgeline was only rated for 3 or 400 hundred and I drove right up over it.
You can always release the stops and lower the tailgate over the bumper so your ramp is only resting on the bed. Of course the atv would actually have to fit on the bed. Ford should offer an extended cab with longer bed. Not everybody needs a 4 door crew cab with a stubby bed.
Haha I wish for the price point and everything it can do it’s the best truck for me At the moment! I travel way to much for a bigger one! But I would love a big one 😂

How many dirt bikes fit in a Ford Maverick? 3.
Looks like a Honda Ridgeline!
Does any one know the length of the bed with tailgate in down position? Wondering for wheel length on a cruiser motorcycle.
