I had never used Invencible Run. I bought a pair because of your recommendation. These are on their way. I think they'll arrive next week. I can't wait to use them when they are delivered 😊
Great video again man. By the way, I have that Adidas Superlite hat as well. Such a great running hat. I wash it daily after runs and its held together very well.
Loved it, nice to have an insight into your experience and preferences! I personally really like the new balance 1080's and the bike invincible. The Invincibles are probably my all-time favorites, ran in them all last summer, and got pair this spring before I was injured. Really wish I got to snag them in that white and green colorway, they look so sick! I really want to try the vaporflys, heard so much good stuff about them, I'll have to try them one day. 😊
The great thing about shoes is that there are so many of them, you really can almost always get a pair you’ve never tried! Always something new and fun to try out, really makes me want to run a little bit more just to test out a new pair of shoes 😅
Nice Nike collection! I have been trying to build a collection from a variety of brands to see what I like, and then take off from there. I got a pair of Invincible 3s really cheap as well as the Zoomfly 5. I'll have to check out the tempo's and vaporflys next
@@ElijahHerringtonXC What do you think of the zoomfly 5’s? I feel like they’re such an inbetween shoe, like could use it for a daily trainer, but also for an easier tempo run, but haven’t tried them personally
@@LukeTalbot3 I don’t have a lot of miles on them yet, but off the bat they are a pretty stiff shoe. I think they’ll break in after 50-100 miles. I use them for easy tempo runs and long runs, typically when I progress and end in a faster pace. Too stiff for me to use for easy or daily runs
@@LukeTalbot3 yea it’s all preference in the end, some people love them, some hate them. They’re not my top pick but hard to beat the price at clearance stores
@@LukeTalbot3just a tip for the nimbus, they don’t have much energy return and is like a bit of a worse Nike invincible at least in the foam, the upper is a bit warm but it’s a great shoe super comfy
Really depends on how well you take care of them and what type of surfaces you run on. I do most my workouts on a track or treadmill which genuinely keeps my shoes in good condition and doesn't cause them too much stress!
I’ve heard a few people say the same but I’ve personally never experienced any heal slip. Feel like it’s very 50/50 if you do or don’t. I will say i liked the 1’s the most, the 2’s the next and the 3’s last, but still my favorite daily trainers
If you wanna see some of the workouts I've been doing, check out my summer running series, it documents every run I do each day, with the specifics of what I do for workouts as well!
My rotation: invincible 3 for recovery, vomero 17 for daily, alphafly 1 or nb sc trainer v1 for long run, vaporfly 3 for gravel or dirt workouts, alphafly 3 or adios pro 3 for tempo, and cloudspike 10k for anaerobic workouts. I have the same invincible color way and I wrote on day to remember. Also my Invincible are always cooked after 300 miles the outsole is literally flat idk how u get 500 on them
Sounds like a solid rotation! As to your invincibles, it could be something with your form, or if you run alot of consecutive miles on them they may lose their form a little faster. The way I see it, your shoes need a break too, running 50-60 miles a week in one pair of shoes will make them feel like you've run 500miles in them by the time you hit 250. On the other hand, if you run 30-40 miles a week, I feel like they end up feeling fresher for longer!
I have a heard a lot of good things about both! I think the takumi sen 10 would be the first I’d try out, but that wouldn’t be until I need a new pair of workout shoes, given I just got a new pair 😭
No not at all! I actually keep all my old running shoes and have them on top of my desk thats in the background of the video! I feel bad throwing them away and occasionally I'll wear some of them as walking around shoes!
Why only Nike? You are limiting yourself to one brand for no reason (I think?), try some other shoe brands, lots of other great and better shoes out there.
I touched on it a little in the video, but the 2 big things are, I don’t pay full price for nike shoes, I’m very good at finding them on sale and can usually get them for pretty cheap. And the other being, I just don’t know what other shoes would be good “replacements” for the shoes I have right now, and can’t afford to test out a pair just to not like them and want to wear something else. I definitely want to branch out and have some ideas of shoes I think I would like, but it’s probably gonna be a bit of time before I do that.
He’s not limiting himself it’s just Nike shoes work better for him. You need all the shoes in ur rotation to have the same feel, so if he wore hoka rincons and nb rebel v4 he might get hurt cuz they have completely different structure. However his invincible peg and streak fly combo works well bc it’s all the same foam and they all fit the same being somewhat narrow
@@LukeTalbot3I mean the finding shoes for cheap applies to every brand pretty much. For example, I got Takumi Sen 10 for $100, SL2 a few weeks after release for $91, Adios Pro 3 for $125 all direct from adidas. Boston 12s are regularly $60-80 these days at outlets. Found out about these deals from /r/runningshoegeeks. This is just an example from adidas of course there are deals for every brand.

Luke, you should approach Nike for sponsorship, just show them your shoe collection, they have a perfect brand ambassador right here 👟🙂
I would LOVE to work with Nike at some point in the future, but I don’t think I have a big enough following just yet to make that happen, small steps!
Can you make a seperate video of all the workouts you do to stay fit for running?
