I was hooked ever since I saw that actually. He had that good joke about saying he thought his name was Nick the whole time 🤣🤣😂 he just showed it lol...I think about that joke often. Thanks Nick 😁
Just came here after your recent armchair expert episode. First of of all, you are CRIMINALLY under rated. So fucking funny. Secondly, THIS is the format you were meant to be viewed in. The edditing, animations, cuts etc. It's the perfect way to express this material as seen through the inner machinations of your mind. Simply beautiful.
I'm thinking of doing something similar but with live actors moving backgrounds and never acknowledged with eventually ends the episodes with the actors slowly surrounding me as I take all the credit. Love your shit brah!
Not sure how I wound up here but honestly the best podcast format I’ve experienced. Instantly someone I’d love to hang out with. Huge kudos to the animator.
You just gave me the crossover I had no idea I needed. This made my freaking day!!! I started listening to you about a month ago and I JUST started listening to the Scrubs rewatch podcast last week and I've watched Scrubs like 9 times over... Thank you RICKY
the goal is not to stop thoughts in general. that is resisting the inevitable, the mind is going to produce thoughts. your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to objectively observe them. if you set up a chair on the side of the highway of your mind, the goal is to see how disciplined you can be in staying in your chair as the thoughts (cars) of your mind zoom by. we often either try to chase certain cars (thoughts), stop/resist them, or somehow find ourselves in one along for the ride when we didnt realize it. just notice. without judgement. and go sit back in the chair. the more you do that, the less traffic there is, the less youll be affected by traffic jams etc but there will always be cars.
Great explanation. So many people think that meditating is emptying your mind/stopping thought entirely, and so when they try to "meditate" and inevitably "fail" they conclude "I can't meditate".
Zach totally picks his nose at 56:58 and slowly proceeds to wipe it on the blanket. Hey it happens but Rick is totally justified in having the blanket on the couch.
What helped my insomnia was putting the TV on at night, but setting a 60 minute timer on it. I would focus on the audio of the TV and not my own thoughts and it'd help me fall asleep. Just don't leave on Ancient Aliens or you'll have weird dreams.
It's insane that he has some A LIST guests and still isn't at 100k subs. This is honestly one of the best shows out there. I've grown and changed and stopped listening to certain pods, but I know I'll be a fan of Rick as long as he provides me with material. Some shows I used to like have 500k+ subs and they're just simply not good anymore.
As a certified card carrying Bopper I must say Rick is really on a roll. I think ever since the episodes in NY with Normand and Kelly, he has found his groove.
Ohhhh man the taps 🤦♂️. I don't do it nearly as bad as I did when I was a child, but I still catch myself doing it some. Like when I'm walking, if I drag my foot or step on something, then I have to do it with the other. Madness!
1:43:47 the way his smile left his face as soon as zach said he thought of smth funny in his head. (and refused to share) 😭😭 totally threw him off i love it LOL
Scrubs was my first ever favorite sitcom. This episode means a lot and I can't believe it's taken me until Friday night to watch. Rick. You're the man as always
I've been commenting about this "I am Phenomenal" content for months now. So excited to see it coming soon to the channel. Now it can only control my thoughts for a little longer
Scrubs is one of a small handful of shows that I'd say I do a full series binge watch through at least once every year, two years maximum; even the final season that they tried to do a soft reboot. Community is on that list with Parks and Rec and The Good Place and probably a few others that deserve to be there but don't immediately jump to my mind. It's one of the easiest ways to determine if I'm likely going to be able to become close friends with someone. If they don't appreciate that kind of humor while being able to soften up enough when it's called for, you're not getting into my scooter gang, and your cheeks _definitely_ aren't getting anywhere near my rooftop epiphany toilet.
About meditation, the point of meditation is really to stop associating yourself with the thoughts that come in and out of your head. A lot of people get stuck on stopping the thoughts and that pressure alone can be deterring. Ultimately, the goal is to allow thoughts to enter and leave your awareness. Your thoughts are not you. We are just the observer. We have to train ourselves to stop deriving worth and identity from the thought-forms that both come from and into our minds. It is a strange but helpful practice.

Half this years animation budget!
Wow, I recognize this chap from the fan-favorite award-winning life-changing series directed by Rick Glassman, The Sixth Lead!
Episode 4.
I was hooked ever since I saw that actually. He had that good joke about saying he thought his name was Nick the whole time 🤣🤣😂 he just showed it lol...I think about that joke often. Thanks Nick 😁
I'm just realizing that this entire podcast hasn't been some meta performance art piece by David Schwimmer.
He was the main character of scrubs
@@MixedMandy88 i wish .. this guy is going places
I love Zach's work, but I'm even more impressed by his ability to finish a story while Rick constantly interupts.
Omg his stories were so fken long though
That’s what I’m talking about! 🙌
@@triggsnasty6066 its a podcast thats the entire point of the format .. longer stories without cuts
@@triggsnasty6066too long!

Agreed! Absolutely criminal!! But he'll get there...it's inevitable
The man is a fuckin comedic genius, what genius gets respected by his peers? its always the genereations after
@@domingochavez2552 yup so i feel super lucky to experience his work as he creates/lives thru it
I'm thinking of doing something similar but with live actors moving backgrounds and never acknowledged with eventually ends the episodes with the actors slowly surrounding me as I take all the credit.
Love your shit brah!
What a great guest. Adored this man growing up. Had the pleasure of meeting him once. Can’t wait to get into this episode!
Zach Braff looks like if Dax Shepard was Ray Romano
Lol 😄
🤯🤯🤯
Yasssss
Pretty much exactly, yes
💯
It's kind of crazy how good the casting of John Ritter was as JD's father in Scrubs. Zach looks more than more like John as he gets older.
Holy cow, he really does
very good ovservation dang
I hope Rick does that thing where he breaks into spoken word/slam poetry in this episode. I love that 😂
Same here. I love that
It always gets a smile out of the guest also ☺️
war time no time, im a soldier in the ghetto, making masterpieces of defense
I have literally never heard of Rick before, until this interview. And now I am mesmerized by him. He is so friggin funny and interesting.
Really sweet of you to give Jessica's Kirson's half brother an opportunity
I like the interviews where they have a history w/ Rick as a boss or producer and how frustrated they get with him😂
Not sure how I wound up here but honestly the best podcast format I’ve experienced. Instantly someone I’d love to hang out with. Huge kudos to the animator.
Welcome to TYSO. Give the animator’s UA-cam a follow: @LT_Tom
Have been a fan of Zach’s for years. Thank you for getting together. This is gonna be fun! ♥️
I almost pissed myself laughing the moment you said “what happened?” after Zach brought up Woody Allen.
You've been killing it with the guests recently. Scrubs is a classic. You've got to get Jessica Kirson on the pod. She won't mind the bits.
32:17 Lmao. These small gems are the reason why no podcast will ever be able to beat TYSO
That “Sorry I thought I had to sneeze” in the opening clip was hilarious
Not everyone can keep up with Rick's elite style of comedy!! I'm here for exactly that and I absolutely love the pod!! #goatcast 🐐
You just gave me the crossover I had no idea I needed. This made my freaking day!!! I started listening to you about a month ago and I JUST started listening to the Scrubs rewatch podcast last week and I've watched Scrubs like 9 times over... Thank you RICKY

This might actually help me effectively meditate😊
Great episode as always and I came back just to hear the “I Am Phenomenal” track again. So good
Missed the blanketed statement? HE'S SLIPPING! love you ricky
That was a fantastic episode, you did it again Rick
Zach totally picks his nose at 56:58 and slowly proceeds to wipe it on the blanket. Hey it happens but Rick is totally justified in having the blanket on the couch.
This comment needs more acknowledgment because that shit is funny
Great guest and such funny editing as always

wow SOOOOO good lollll best random edit yet Ricky
The, "be nice" at 30:12 was so sincere! I loved that whole conversation lmao.
Ricky G pulling legendary guests as always!!

tyso continues to be one of the best pod-casses in history, great work Rick

Thanks for opening up about you and Betty a little bit!
Was interesting to hear
Gettin that comment in. Pod in queue right after Tuesdays with Stories!
1:43:47 the way his smile left his face as soon as zach said he thought of smth funny in his head. (and refused to share) 😭😭 totally threw him off i love it LOL
That low-volume "fucker" voice-over when Rick pulls out the ice got me good. 😂
Zach is a weird combination of Pete Holmes, Dax Shepard and Harland Williams.
All TYSO alumni
Scrubs was my first ever favorite sitcom. This episode means a lot and I can't believe it's taken me until Friday night to watch.
Rick. You're the man as always
Zach is a sweetie! The Dax and Zach movie idea sounds hilarious.
I've been commenting about this "I am Phenomenal" content for months now. So excited to see it coming soon to the channel. Now it can only control my thoughts for a little longer
Great interview/convo, cheers!
I love Zach. Such a wonderful writer, actor, and seemingly great dude. Scrubs is my favorite show of all time! And 5, 6, 7, 8!
Scrubs is great, but Garden State to this day is one of my all-time favorite movies. Pleasure to watch an episode with Zach.
This is great...Scrubs is one of my favorite shows of all time! Love everything he does...plus his step sister is Jessica Kirson!!!
Scrubs is one of my fave shows of all time love Zach Braff
There are times where Zach is trying to be serious and Rick completely disarms him (1:05:02). This was a great conversation!
As an ex Richmond residence can I just say what a trip it is to hear the hill referred to as a cliff. So exotic!
Literally the only podcast where I'll watch the ads.
It's a good point, don't say "I don't want to offend anyone to I want to respect everyone". Nuanced but important shift!
Can’t wait to watch this one! 😱
Guest list has been fire every week lately🔥 thanks again Rick
The cuts to a moustached Bill Lawrence had me GONE
Been waiting years for this episode, bravo glassman!
Incredible episode. Love both of these guys
Rick, Rick. I hope there’ll be future Rick & Momma Glassman singalongs. 😊
I also picked that pause up when Zach mentioned Rick on his podcast Real Doctors, Fake Friends.
Man! the last 30 minutes went full throttle fun!
I've never seen a person play with their foot for an hour, like a cat.
Stay after the credits and catch a rendition of “guy love” that will move you to tears.
July is officially quirky month! All the goats of goofy!
the intro... good shit man. and damn it... the entourage/Johnny Drama reference so good.
Bill as the camera man is my favorite reoccurring bit
Love the extended intro on here that wasnt on Spotify. Gotta tune into both for all the good stuff
Amazing episode as always!
so good loved the dismount
The facial hair snapping bit was so funny
@ Rick , new sub (month) just wanted to say ty for the laughs buddy. I believe you're about to do big things out there! Peace
Never watched Scrubs but know Zach is beloved by everyone. Weird how he’s a bit uptight about how funny and casual Rick can be lol
I'm only 10 minutes in but Zach is serving some intense inner man thigh
I just about jumpped out of my chair when I saw this. Im rewatching scrubs again on season 5. This is great !
Another amazing episode!
An akward but absolutely delightful podcast as always! keep them coming
“What, did you forget the fourth letter?” has me dying
I really liked this episode, watched the whole thing
Very much appreciate Zach’s nuanced approach to woody Allen
the michael jackson joke from the 6th Lead ep is 1000% absolute solid gold
My arms are tired for this one
What an amazing episode!
Another 🔥 guest
Zach is responsible for indie kids in the ‘00’s.
Alot for damn sure lol
As a indie teen of the 00’s, you’re goddamn right.
Ricks mom singing the everywell ad was so fucking good
Oh my god that one second shot of Bill directing them
"Father to a murdered wife, husband to a murdered son." one of my favorite lines from Gladiator..

You and Sue Ann Pien should have been nominated for the Emmys
"I don't know. I don't know. ... I don't know."
- Zach Braff
This was my latch key kid childhood. Thank you Zach
This was entertaining af.
"We'll never play opposite of Margo Robbie," says the man who played opposite of Natalie friggin Portman
Pleaseeee make the movie, I would sooo watch it! 🥳🥳🥳
The David Schwimmer thing cracked me up
Thank you 🔥❤️🙏
32:16 Holy shit that was so fucking funny and caught me completely off guard.
Has this been done before? I vaguely remember this gag for some reason
9:52 almost got a chuckle out of him with it
I love Zach Braff.
Thank you from a loyal bopper!! Always a great relief when I know you are back with more for my edification. RFM
he never got to make his backdraft remake, "zach braff's backdraft"
Great podcast
