I am glad to see you review these. I am in Z workstation support team right now, but used to be Support for Elitebook products. I love my Elitebook 840 G5 my work provided me.
The best thing about these laptops is the fact the they have upgradeable ram and storage with some having both m.2 and 2.5' SATA or two m.2 slots for storage and of course upgradeable ram.

I just started a new job and they've given us new starters the elite books and they're so good, so sleek

I am currently using an HP Elitebook 845 G7 given by my company as the main workstation and the only main complain is that, like Tesla EV, suffers from Phantom Battery Drain. Our Corporate IT reached out to HP and said they have never encountered this issue and I was told HP won’t honor the existing warranty they gave to the company. Which kinda sucks..

Our uni offers HP zbook studio g5’s and on paper, they are amazing but jesus, the fingerprint scanner on my unit barely works, the soundcard/speaker on my friends unit broke on day 1, my speakers volume decreases dramatically when listening to music where multiple instruments play at the same time and another friends screen broke out of the box... also ive never heard a worse DAC inside a laptop before... might be broken too but at this point im just not sure
I really needed this with all the chaos of the election 😖

It’s 2022 and it’s time I buy a new laptop. I couldn’t decide between Apple and Hp so I came to Justine lol. My hp laptop is hp pavilion g6 and it still works fine but slower and very loud. My mbp from around the same year (2011) works pretty slow and can only use the internet. No apps are compatible with it anymore since it’s so old. So my question is should I get another hp laptop or a Mac for however many years until Apple does the same to it too.
What’s the cheapest one here just wondering I love them and want one but idk
I use a 840 G5 with core i7 gen8 at work. It is much slower than my seller specific HP laptop with core i5 gen6 that is 3 years old from the same price category. Also we have problems with some drivers. On mine I can't change the speaker volume. Others are just freezing randomly between sleeps once or twice in a month. Also it can not drive 4K at 60fps. On the plus side the G5 is very light and has quite good screen, battery lasts 3-6 hours. So it's a strong meh.

Spill resistant keyboard is a very nice feature. MacBooks are designed to die as quickly as possible when water is added.

All of the students at my school have the hp pro book 445 g7 or something similar and it’s super nice for online school! My teachers have the first one she showed and my principal has the second one. Our school has all laptops were the others are chrome books it’s super nice to have
