I am not saying that black people or mankind as a whole came from Apes; that's silly apes are a different species. ITS A THEORY that ALL HUMANS once LOOKED like common-day apes, with all the excess body hair and all. In fact, there are still some people today that grow thick terminal hair all over their body. It's a genetic condition called "Hypertrichosis". Apologies about the ape face flashing on our girl's face; I was trying to make a point. I see how some may think it's a little distasteful; forgive me 😢. But, overall ... try not to let your sensitivities keep you from learning something new. Your mind has to be open to grow. #KeepExploring

Green Beauty Channel ™ Can you do a video on Amla and hair growth ? Please, I really want to know the science behind it if there's any.

You are right. I was talking to a white man tells him what I now know about my hair. He looked at me and said “You just now finding this out”. I just simply told him “ You wouldn’t understand how many Black people don’t know” to be honest I wanted to say. When your are told and see that Beauty looks like something you are not naturally and can change it to what is more acceptable you feel persuaded and away by a lot of pressure to do so. That is no more ! So now! We are finding out so munch more about our true self with love and acceptance.

I love how people are quoting books that were written in the dark ages and probably translated 40 times into several languages to try to hate on an extremely helpful, informative hair video. Don’t let these people stop you from your research! People may not agree, but in the end it’s what makes us as humans so rich.

One theory I've read about where curly hair comes form is that it grows out of the scalp at an angle. If this is true, then a uniform curl type across the entire scalp would require it to be a flat surface. The fact our scalps are spherical, wilh slight variations according to past ex[eriences, accounts for variations in curl texture.
But in short, the quicker your hair gets "away" from the scalp, the sooner along the strand the curl will be able to form.
But I've also read that the shape of the strand itself makes a difference too. A straight hair strand is round. A wavy hair strand is oval. And the curtly and kinky strands could have all sorts of shapes.
Another theory I've heard is that the deposits of keratin inside the follicle is not even across the circumference of a strand. If more keratin is deposited on one side of a strand, it will grow out in a curlier formation.
I REALLY enjoy this topic, as you can see.

Something along the lines of that's were the skull merges. When we r born the head has to squeeze to pass through. So as u grow the 4 parts merge together and that spot is there. I'm not sure if I'm entirely correct but something along those lines.

Right! I clicked on the comments so fast to see how many people would say something along the lines of “this is god’s work and your ideals are sinning the Heavenly Father”. Look, I know that we all have different ideals, but as for me, unless experience teaches me different, I’m always going to believe in science because scientists don’t just pull things out from the air. On that note, yeah she totally screwed herself, but I enjoy people with different trains of thought (especially if it’s backed up by proof). This is coming from someone who is spiritual by the way, but I have my reasons for believing this and still being spiritual.

Thank you! I've been questioning this even before I went natural, but going natural and one time shaving the side and back of my hair opened my mind to how it grows out of my head! I learned to love the coarse, tight, densely packed "ridge" growing like a band at my temples and towards the back just below the crown. I've been searching for anyone else who was inquisitive about this. I imagine some beautiful mammals found in Africa with their color and textured patterns on their coats. If you could direct me to more scientific information, that would be amazing! thank you.

This video totally explains why the back of my hair has a softer type 3 curl pattern than the rest of my head. The curls define with no effort. The rest of my head is super kinky type 4c and beyond lol. Thanks for the video! Very informative.

  • @divinacastle4210

I came up with the same theory as well as to why I and some of my family members have different textures of hair, even color changes as well. Being Cuban and my family is from Spain is very diverse. In fact Spain has some of the oldest genes as well with Africa. I have noticed that their are so many different cultural textures with my hair, my hair is constantly changing; sometimes it's really annoying! Some days it's curly, like an Afro, straighter, wavy, it just constantly changes! Even my hair color changes. People don't understand that we have so many different genes from so many countries within us that I think throughout different time periods in our life certain different genes are activated from our different cultural ancestries - kind of like genetically memories. This also explains why I was born with brunette hair and my sister with blonde hair and blue eyes, there are so many different hair and eye colors in my family line. DNA is a strange thing! You never know how somebody is gonna be born looking like or look like later on in their lives?!

Well of course....the level of genetic truth is forgotten by many of us. That's why we're constantly being kept disenfranchised because if we were living in our true SELF we would be unstoppable.
Our DNA is the story of our connection to the true power of the universe and we've just been conditioned to not see this truth that is right in front of us and on our heads!

FangirlWithFro Evolution is NOT a fact though, it's just a theory and theories can either be proven to be fact or myth. So it being a theory means that it can't really be trusted nor is it reliant. I believe that we have a creator who made us all different. That's makes more sense than evolution and plus if evolution is even a thing, why did it stop with us? Why aren't we evolving into something else now? All of us a sudden evolution just stopped? Nah

There's no such thing as clarifying your hair too much. As long as you replenish moisture and lubrication right after, every time, you should be good. But, the best way to tell is to always pay attention to how your hair is acting and feels.

Apply olive oil/wild hair growth oil mixed with egg (honey optional) massaged into hair & scalp, invert head for a few minutes & leave in for an hour under saran wrap, rinse & 2. Massage coconut oil to hair & scalp, invert head for a few minutes & leave in for 4 to 8 hours. The channels are fayette23, Maryam Hampton, Chinelli & Victoria Vaden. WOW...these ppl reactions are hilarious..... Its called a "THEORY of evolution" NOT the "Fact of evolution" I most definitely do not see tangible proof to accept it as fact however I would not belittle anyone for believing so. The thing that I love about Her videos is that she uses science to the best of her abilities, to explain things that most people may not understand about their own hair. So considering the fact that she does use scientifical data to inform us, it is not surprising that she has chosen to use this Theory in regards to the stated question. So for anyone on here who's truly upset about this and using such foul language, the only thing you're doing is proving your own ignorance and the fact that you don't even have the emotional capacity to relate your feelings in a responsible in an adult like maner. which is quite sad to see that there are so many ignorant people out there. Continue your good work. Although I cannot say that I completely agree with your theory I do love the fact that you shared this with us. Thank you I look forward to your uploads of many more videos😊✌

I usually enjoy your videos, very informative and straight to the point! However, when you use EVOLUTION as the reason for WHY, you lost me!!!!!!!! I may not know much about 'hair' and 'why' for the varied textures, but what I do know is that the topic of evolution is still evolving; therefore fallible! EVOLUTION: Appeal to the People: Using the general public as a basis for proving a hypothesis, instead of relying on relevant evidence. Stating, “Of course, everyone accepts that as fact,” would be an example.
Argument to Future: Stating that while a theory is not yet proven, it will be with further study and investigation. This video focused on the loss of hair as a whole through the lens of evolution, however, it did not address the topic of multi-textures in an individual. Now if evolution plays on the idea of adaptation, then what would be the purpose of multi-textures regarding adaptation? Not all ppl share the same areas of thinner, thicker, looser, or tighter strands to support the idea of adaptation!
Now when I hear of evolution, I think of someones belief system; how they view the world's existence. So if I may... "Isaiah 3:24
Now it will come about that instead of sweet perfume there will be putrefaction; Instead of a belt, a rope; Instead of well-set hair, a plucked-out scalp; Instead of fine clothes, a donning of sackcloth; And branding instead of beauty." Knowing whom God was speaking to and why, bring about a whole other topic for ppl (of color in particular)!
By the way, I still think you make the best hair videos on YT, God bless :)

myhusbandsrib she did address the multi texture, she said that even though all follicles have the same DNA each gene can be expressed differently throughout your head creating different hair textures... the ability to turn genes on and off is an adaptation and therefore has been selected for though evolution.

Aurelie's A Natural she addressed the multi-textures in general, but as I mentioned in my comment; not the REASON for the adaptation of these textures based on evolution! Thought I was clear about that, sorry!

Aurelie's A Natural people aren’t going to get it man. Think too much with emotion, not enough objectivity. Theories are fallible, but so is the Bible. Nay one of these people in the comments were around during the biblical period so their justification is on belief. How do we truly know who wrote the Bible? Not trying to attack anyone’s religion, but this is based on belief. I’ve backed pastors in to corners too with similar questioning. No one can answer it. Two different theories, two different beliefs, two different sets of angry people. 🤦🏾‍♀️

Aurelie's A Natural Where is YOUR evidence? 🙄
The evidence is all around and if you choose to see it you will. Science is really just an explanation of what God has created, it's fascinating and great but it's nothing special. So in turn science is only a thing because of what already is. Without it science would be nothing.

I like your videos just don't compare humans and monkeys or apes together because it seems like you're saying that humans seem to evolved from monkeys because human didn't evolve from monkeys or apes and if people do believe that I'm very sorry for you guys because if that was true why don't anyone see a monkey or a ape evolve in to a human all these years and there's a lot of other reasons and another reason is if you're saying that because they have more characteristics to Human, mean monkeys or apes have more characteristics to Human than other animals in this world, it is not true because other animals in this world have the same amount of characteristics that a monkey and a ape have to human, even some animal have more characteristics to Human than a monkey or apes.
Edit: So please don't say does you believe in the big bang theory and if anybody do believe in it I'm very sorry for you, God bless you.
But I like your hair video it's very informative

No, all gods are fictional characters that man created in his own image, not the other way around. Yes, all life changes slowly over time & continues to do so.

You are "SAYING" that humans didn't really come from apes & that it is silly however; YOU BELIEVE IT & are teaching it accordingly. Please read the Book of Enoch & Book of Adam & Eve (free & on-line). Those are the holy bible books that were removed from the bible for obvious reasons.
Those bible books actually identify the remains of the neanderthal as the bones of the biblical Nephilim giants & explained how they came to be. God did not create ape-men but he created mankind in HIS OWN image. You have been deceived by the lies of a deceased atheist & racist scholar whose theories have been debunked on many levels.
I can't appreciate seeing a Black person compare themselves to apes, giving credence to white people who call us such. I do admire your effort in trying to inform Black people about their natural hair though.
Please (in case you haven't already) study the Apocrypha Bible Books they will enrich you even more in terms of your racial heritage. One example: Biblical Noah was a Black albino (OCA-1)at birth with white wool textured hair & blue eyes. (blue eyes are actually albino eyes) When his Black father saw him he ran from the room in fear of the "strange" baby doubting his paternity - "Book of Enoch Ch 105."
Please read God's word & Let his truth inspire you.........Peace & Blessings

Shatira Lawrence did you even watch the video? Blue eyes are albino eyes? First time I’ve ever heard that. I guess all those white people with blue eyes are really albino and we didn’t know it.😂

Hello there, good to see you're back to making videos. :) We are children of Adam and Eve, the first man and woman, not Apes. Scientists have a hard time believing that God is our creator and that we are children of our first parents, Adam and Eve, not Apes. :)

HairByGio I'm sorry that you felt the need to respond to me when my message was for Green Beauty and not you. I happen to not only enjoy her videos very much, (I actually enjoyed this video as well) but I have dialogue with her as well. HairByGio . that's precisely my point....it is a theory..not fact..this particular theory provides the natural hair community no more of understanding of how to care for our hair....if in fact this theory is false....which it is....why waste five minutes of our time..... stick to the facts....this is not the platform to debate evolution...she shouldn't have....and I won't now but I will suggest you check out some of trey Smith's videos...the theory of everything if your interested.

Im starting see a lot of popular natural hair girls on UA-cam starting to use MSM powder in their hair growth oils. Is this safe? Does it work? And what's the science behind using the product on your scalp? I love your channel btw, as a college student it saves me so much money knowing what my hair is doing/going through so I don't waste money on products that won't help my overall hair health in the long run!
