Exactly. One piece is the only anime (that i know of) can make a once tense final fight laughable (in the best way possible) seeing luffys childlike side come in full swing was fuckin amazing too

@@charlie-cv5dfGintama makes this all the time. There was a time where the episode finished in the middle of the final fight of the arc, and in the next episode the characters actually explain why fillers exist only to have more 5 minutes of not catching up with the manga.
i actually laughed during gear 4th too. it is so goofy but I got used to it.
i was watching with a good friend and we were both rolling on the floor because of luffy it was so funny and when we went reading the comments under the crunchyroll episode we were disappointed by the comunity writing so much hate the episode was so intense the music the voice acting the animation it was the perfect introduction and all that is coming the next weeks will top that and i will actually wait 4 weeks to see everything at once and die of laughter
Luffy has ascended to a new level now, his white aura alongside the pink eyes looks fantastic.

@@labialkosta261 i witnessed them all too, from ssj to ssj3, gear 2 and sage mode and the fact we came this far with the goats is just incredible. sadly naruto took a big L besides baryon mode bc boruto is just meh for me, they shouldve ended after madara
In my opinion gear 5 is one of the best transformations bc it’s not following the same “power up=serious” instead it’s “power up=fun and goofy” its just so cool

Also there's inherent risk and instability to awakening a fruit, it's not always just instant power at your control, which makes it interesting. Who knows, this statement will likely be outdated by the end, but at least it's not 100% easy mode atm
And the longer i see g5 luffy fight, he gets scarier. Why? Because Imagine fighting someone who is just fooling around but every attack is deadly. And in the fight between luffy and lucci. From our perspective luffy looked like goofy but from lucci’s view, he is very chaotic. It looks like fighting an insane cuphead game boss.
@@maskedranchu4448 and from Kaido's perspective too. His enemy sees him as some kind of devil with those red eyes. You don't know how his enemy sees how crazy level his power is, especially considering he's laughing all the time and attacking then overpowering them.
I can’t get over the fact that they gave us all three versions of what everyone was expecting the drums to be. We got a remix of Skypeia’s party drums, Overtaken, and We Are! Im so happy

I honestky didnt like the episodes animation, it felt to fast paced and made some of the scenes look to fast and hard to see, also some frames straight up looked terrible but besides that GEAR 5 YUUUUUSSS!.

This gives a new meaning to every time overtaken is used in the anime, like a glimpse of the liberation for the future. I love this version!
Despite everything people can say, this episode was phenomenal, when I heard the music in it, my first thought was wanting to hear your cover of this special overtaken. You did not miss, you never did and I don't think you'll ever will. Now, we shall set sail freely towards 1072, I think it'll be the ultimate G5 episode, until the Bajrang Gun of course.
It is phenomenal, the problem was the fans were overly gassing it up like to this episode to surpass ssj 1 Goku.

Unpopular Opnion: although the debut of Gear 5 was great, it took the whole episode, repeated a scene of him bouncing around 3 times, and just 2 punches. I hope more fighting in the next episode, I wanna see it more in action.
The ep definitely had flaws the repetitive use of scenes 2 flashbacks some parts were hard to understand also orchis part could've been skipped or put back for a different episode also kaido not realising luffys haki or that he woke up but somehow sanji wakes up because of it other then that it was a good episode
This OST makes my heart feel funny and gives me the liberty to do what I always wanted to

i love how the idea of luffy is how his abilities are so funny and he himself is laughing so much the entire fight. it feels like its connected to the name of laugh tale and how it was so funny that once gold roger got there he just started laughing. it such a twist on the what i thought would be the peak of Luffy or better yet Gear 5
