Wow. Sublime playing and 2 great tunes. Record more please. The tone from that DB is fabulous. Whats your recording set-up you're using? Cheers, Ciaran.
I loved that DB but sold it last year to Declan Parker. For that recording it was a zoom h4n that you can see on the right, about a foot from the banjo pointing towards the 12th fret. I edited the audio using garage band. Bass boost mainly with a reverb and a little compression and limiter
Great sound, well played....does the banjo have that lovely bass sound when not plugged in? I use to play the banjo and never knew if it was the make of the banjo itself or the amp
Utterly savage. Blown away
Thanks so much!
Michael we need more tunes from you please
Will do when I get some time to record again!!
Jesus that's some class playing lad
Cracking recording (cracking playing too
of course!)
excellent man. great feel
Thanks very much!
Fantastic!! I like the way you have you banjo mic'd. Nice bassy tone without losing the high tones.
Just the zoom h4 and garage band! I have new mics and logic pro that I must get using now!
Love this..
Thanks a lot!
Really enjoyed that. Keep them coming.
Thanks very much! I must try and record another set for the channel soon!

I agree, he made some amazing instruments!

Superb stuff Michael. This is one of my favourite tunes to play even if it is a bit a handful! Lovely sound off your banjo there too. 👍

Michael, can't stop watching this vid... lovely playing and combination of tunes.. Where can I get the tabs for both? Thanks.
Thanks very much! I don't read music so I wouldn't know anything about tabs! I learned them from sessions!

@@TheAnonymousPunter Did you ever find the second version?!
@@gabrielsamarine755 nope I didn’t, I just learned a different version. I think his banjo is tuned differently than GDAE though.
@@TheAnonymousPunter Yes it would seem so! Thanks anyway
