  • In this video, I show you how to properly repair audio issues on an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus by removing the Audio IC and repairing the damaged traces located under neath the Audio IC itself. I also demonstrate how to remain calm from mistakes and redo your work multiple times due to shaky hands after a cup of coffee. We don't make mistakes, we only make happy accidents. Thanks for watching.

    Wow!!! Thank you. Great video. Very precise. I have been watching a lot of videos on this iphone 7 audio ic repair just to see where exactly from where to where the jumpers are being placed. Your video nailed it. Now I can stop watching other videos, cause now I can see and know exactly what to do.

    Thanks for the video, nicely explained! Today i bought broken iPhone 7 for repair (it's fun and I'm trying to get grip on it) and discovered it has this exact problem, so it will be my first time with this kind of micro soldering

    never use cons , they absorbs tons of temperature so you will take long time to remove IC, use tape or very thin thing like the cutter :) , thanks for the nice vids

      Thanks for the pointer. You are correct. I have had faster success with no coins with these repairs.

  • @gunnaralv
    @gunnaralv 2 роки тому

    Nice video. But its more correct to say that most pads are not needed under the IC. Many are GND and the majority is NC (not connected).

    • @iRevive
      @iRevive  2 роки тому

      Correct. There are a lot of NC pads under this IC.

    PS where do you buy your ISL6259 U7000 chips (2010 MBP) from please? Thanks

    • @iRevive
      @iRevive  4 роки тому +1

      Thank you for the reassuring feedback. I would suggest getting a donor board for any board repair. You can also purchase brand new ISL6259 from store.rossmanngroup.com. Mouser and digikey are good sources for components, however they hardly carry intersil chips used in MacBooks.

    • @MrPnew1
      @MrPnew1 4 роки тому

      @@iRevive thanks for your reply but no donor boards available anywhere and Digikey/Mouser/ Farnell's/ RS Components etc do not even list these.

    • @iRevive
      @iRevive  3 роки тому

      Hi there. All of the tools I use are listed in the description. The only other tools you will need is jumper wire, conformal coating (Mask), and a UV light. I recommend practicing on a donor phone first. This repair takes practice and patience.

    I have only the problem with earpiece crackling ….what repair should I do?

    • @iRevive
      @iRevive  3 роки тому

      If it’s just your earpiece, it may just need to be cleaned with some isopropyl alcohol and a Q-tip. If the crackling still exists aftwards, you’ll need to have your earpiece replaced. No need to do an audio IC Repair if it’s just your earpiece. I hope this information helps out.

    • @iRevive
      @iRevive  3 роки тому

      Sorry for the delayed response. I had my wisdom teeth removed and haven't been active on here. The best way to test for audio IC failure is to make a phone call and see if the speaker phone button is grayed out. You can also open the voicememos app and try to record a message. I hope this helps out.
