Your garden has changed so much already. I really hope you do a years garden review in August as a separate video to your garden tours to highlight just how far the garden / property has come under yours and Jason’s stewardship 🥰
You could highlight the things that have surprised you both, the things you both love, any areas you both wish you could change / adapt, what you are most excited about, plans for the following year…. ❤️

Janey that propane tank is a necessity for your family.Any negative comments about it just ignore.what we are looking at is the garden and plants.by the time everything fills in no one will notice. Give yourself grace. You are doing a great job.

I agree. I’m so tired of hearing about the propane tank. We all know why it’s there. It doesn’t have to be explained in every other video. I watch near daily. I’m cheering on her progress and this project is a dream for most of us.

I’m Team Pomegranate!! Not only is the fruit yummy to eat, but the bright orange/red fruit on the tree is beautiful as well. Keeping it pruned up and shaped will keep it beautiful.

    Hi Janey,
I look forward to watching your channel daily!
I'm so glad you and Robbie decided to 'show it how it is' rather than hiding the mistakes and unfinished projects. That's real life when you don't have a staff to help. I think it's important
to 'keep it real' - no need to be embarrassed, we're humans doing our best, keep it up!

Michael, the magic designer should be able to come up with a design around the propane tank so you can leave it it where it is and be able to live wth it. See if he can help with that.

    Hi Janey,
I love that you’re showing your real life garden. I have an air containing unit that stands out in my garden. I just remind myself that I’m going to love that air conditioner in the middle of the summer when we’re in the high 90s/low 100s! It has a purpose and that’s okay with me. 😊

Your gardens are beautiful! I can't imagine how much work it has been for you and your family, but I do know how passionate you are about it, and I love that about you! Thank you for showing us the 'not so pretty' areas such as the above ground tank. We ALL have them in one form or another, why hide them and pretend they don't exist. I think we all embrace it when you or other gardeners keep it all very real - otherwise it feels like it's never attainable. Thank you, Janey.

What you have accomplished is major, and I had no idea even before you injured your foot, that this much would be blooming, planted, and just marvelous!

Janey, I have a blank backyard except for 4 trees I’ve planted so far. Watching your progress is so inspiring to me! And the pomegranate tree is safe for the season! Pruning and shaping it could be a fun project, in your free time😆. I had one that I loved so much. I kept it in its natural form but pruned off any adventitious growth/suckers. Yours is in a much better spot, where it can really spread out. I’m off to weed…

I am thinking back to the beginning of this garden, hot , dry, the end of summer. You have really transformed the feel of your garden! How fun that you still have a lot of space still to develop. Sometimes the wait is best because you can morph those original ideas and expand the design. I’ve been in my garden for about 25 years now and it’s pretty full so now I reinvent areas to keep the excitement going and to make a space that works for how we live now. Just plain wonderful Janey!! I’d like to see you add a lemon tree to your citrus orchard. We use ours like crazy. Also I would like some advice on the best planting and care. I have a small lemon buts she is struggling. Love your channel 😊

Love the WIDE ROWS for the cut flower garden! Plants always get bigger than you think they will and you'll have space to walk. Very smart planning! I also like your idea for the "leftover" annuals that naturalize in your zone. Other names for that garden area could be your Legacy Garden, Bits & Bobs, or The Blessing Garden because you are abundantly blessed that annuals overwinter for you!

  • @KP-gw5zv

Good morning. It is amazing what 1 year does for all the gardens you have. I was thinking that if you divide your gardens into zones then you would not get over whelmed with the weeds and it would help you stay on top of them. I have heard so many gardeners do this and I have done it my gardens and it helped me stay on top of the weeds. Just a thought. I have put so many of those plants that you have on my wish list and will slowly add them into my gardens. Love how they are turning out. Hopefully you will enjoy the rest of your day.

I haven't planned the exact plants because I see things in the stores that I love all the time and can't resist. Why would i want to resist? 😻 My pomagranite tree was wide like yours but I took some of the base stems off so that it is now more narrow and fits my space better. I just planted in the same area a white peach. So my orchard is only two trees plus a butterfly bush and some star jasmine on the side of the house.... hahah!

Janey, instead of herbicide, you can use boiling water or white vinegar to kill the weeds. Corn meal afterwards will keep the weeds down, but if you want to put other plants there, it will take six months for the soil to be ready. Corn meal is a natural root inhibitor.

Looking fantastic. Love the purple/orange combination. It really pops! For the front swoop, maybe add Santa Barbara Daisy. It will spread but it's fun to look at in the spring and summer. Crab and Bermuda grasses are my nemesis. I had to pull out 10 plants to treat a front yard garden area for a Bermuda grass invasion. It's so invasive. Which also means, new plants for me! We've been using Dawn soap mixed with white vinegar to kill our weeds. It actually works. We also use the same mixture to clean our kitchen and bathroom counters and surfaces. Love your videos and the work you are doing on your garden. Next year it will be spectacular!

Hi, your pomegranate tree looks nice, but have you considered making into a beautiful lollipop topiary. You might fall in love with it .

Your yard is really coming along. I can’t wait to see it in a few months. So much fun to watch your journey.

Everything looks great! I love pomegranate plants. I think you’ll really enjoy the blooms. Can you paint the propane tank black? That way it would disappear in the background. Thanks for sharing 🌸

Your garden is looking so beautiful. I am new to gardening. I have a large yard too…not as big as yours, and it’s a blank slate. At times it gets overwhelming because I have a hard time visualizing what my garden could look like. You are helping me see what could be possible. I live in SoCal, zone b and I watch your channel everyday….your videos are helping me see what is possible in my zone. The only difference here is I have to deal with a slope in my backyard, it’s challenging but we have managed to plant several strawberry trees and various fruit trees….still have a lot of space to cover, but just the little bit we’ve done already has added so much beautiful life to the backyard…I love my new trees and I can tell they love their new home. They are beautiful!! Love, love , love, your channel. Thanks so much for sharing so much great information. Keep em coming!! Give Monty a big hug for me!!❤
