No matter how big of deer I harvest. The mounts will never be replicated. Even after I'm gone the mounts will either go to blood family or be buried. I'm not trying to hate on antler collectors, but those are just my personal feelings. I don't want my antlers on someone's wall that I'm not related to.
@conservativestatesofamerica I would pass on that money. Even if I didn't have history with that deer. He's not going to be disrespected like that. He's not a movie, he's not art, and not something to hang christmas lights on. The point of mounting him is to give him respect and for me to think about all those memories.
I agree! Especially in my personal situation. Every deer I've ever harvested has been on our family's land so I've always believed they should stay there. I know people on here won't believe it but I would seriously turn down even a billion dollars just to have it hang at bass pro shop or God knows where. I would want to see my trophy every single day
"I respect you (deer) SO much, that I will kill you and hang you on my wall...but you're only good enough for me and mine to gaze upon". His antlers were HIS, until YOU took them! I'd bet he wouldn't have wanted HIS antlers on your wall!!! I really don't think "respect" is the right word to use. Don't get me wrong...I have nothing against having mounts on the walls. I've got 7 deer, elk, caribou, and several others. When I'm dead and gone...what do I care what happens with them? I'd hope my daughter might want a couple, but if not, I'd hope she and/or my wife could make a few bucks and someone else can enjoy them for a while. I'm not trying to put you down or dog you for "your ways"...I just don't get it, and that's okay.
That's not at all what he said.🤣 He said deer like it would be into the 6 to 7 figures. He then said that the original deer that bass pro owns will never be sold. And the replica he has is the first replica, so it's priceless.
Gtfo. Just try buying the genuine Jordan buck or Hole in the Horn or the Rath. Offer them $1 million. People have and failed. Bass Pro makes 10x that amount a year on just marketing and tourism off those racks. They'll never sell period. There can be only one...unique in the world.
@stomp4423 cool story. It's all hearsay. Can only be one, unique in the world, yet here is a replica? Hmm. I've spoke with acquisition departments of multi billion dollar companies amd nobody is offering up that kind of money. You'd be a damn fool not to take 6 or 7 figures for a deer and just have a replica made.
"Bass Pro Shops in Springfield, Missouri owns the original antlers of the Jordan Buck and displays them in their "King of Bucks" collection. The antlers are part of a large display that includes some of the biggest bucks ever taken."
Wtf 😂 why would anyone want someone else's trophy ? This guy is nuts
People all over the country buy deer mounts dude. Ain’t nothing new. Unless you’re new to hunting.
@@Chris-ip8pz that's an insane level of narcissism right there 🤣 I guess I am new to that level of trophy Hunting 🙄🙄
@@Chris-ip8pz respectfully I can’t see an experienced hunter buying other peoples mounts…..

If you kill a world record your an instant millionaire. No way you would pass on that money just to have it sit in your living room

In some ways it's like a meuseum thing. To have an accurate replica of something that once existed.
Amazing
"I have to have every one of of them"
Yes
You can walk the spot where this buck was shot. Its pretty cool to be in the exact location this hunt happened.
How?
Hour and a half to color a rack? Lol. I've been coloring on a 103 inch shed for 4 days
Look up Hanson buck from Canada
How much did you pay
Soooo…
It’s not the original.
😂😂
Yeah only cuz it's urs , u said the original is in 6 to 7 figures but the FAKE is PRICELESS!! LMAO typical used car salesman speech !! DO BETTER

Oh bullshit. Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay. It isn't a 6 or 7 figure replica or deer

I would pay no more than $200. I have no need for someone else's buck.

Deer that are fed antler growth anything, should be considered farmed, and not eligible for any record as a wild deer. #FARMEDDEER
Which isn't relevant to the Jordan buck.
I don’t wanna hear yall talk about ima keep the deer quit lying when you get offered life changing money to sell it might as well so it
It's a dead animal.
You sure?
