I have been on the road for 18 years! And I did long distance all of South America and all of North America for a long time, what about those disfuncional companies out there that take advantage on the drivers, being so nice and humble, and expect the driver be more than the driver, you are a CDL driver, but The company have excavator, cranes, lull machine, and expect the driver, do the driver job and do the machine operator job as well and pay the driver a very little extra money to do all? And look at you as a humble person who like the skills you have been using for so long, and most of your duties e both, and they force you to do everything if you want to stay( that it’s taking advantage way to much) but if you ask a company to pay you the driver salary and the machine operator salary they stop to like you and treat you bad forcing you to quit what about that?

When I started with my company, it took me two years of phone calls, letters etc to eventually get a job, basically it was dead man's boots, now they will literally take anyone on, within reason, because of the acute driver shortage & they still can't fill all the vacancies. How times have changed.

Never ever make repairs on a company's truck even if you are qualified, if anything happens, you will be held responsible trying to save the company a couple bucks is simply not worth it and not worth you working for such organizations. What's up with the white T? Not saying you look dirty etc...but you're hunched over looking like you facetiming a friend on a personal level. Jus saying. Nothing wrong with being casual and welcoming to viewers but you know a lot of truckers unfortunately may think they can go into an interview with a white T and jeans and consider that professional trucker attire. So sit up straight, have an acceptable outfit on to show the minimum at least of how to dress for the interview, meaning stand up so they can see. Not being disrespectful but HONESTLY a lot of people do not know and have certain views of being a truck driver. Jus sayin. Very informational video though : )
