I wish Panasonic were more available in America like they used to be. I had a plasma back in the 00s and then an LCD in the early 10s.

Plasma tv pictures were great, we still get customers comparing modern tv's to them.

Another very informative video, my friend. Thanks for showing the panel maintenance - this is something I did not understand fully until now.

Great video and very informative. I think OLED TVs picture quality is stunning compared to the alternatives. I’ve had my set for a while now and wouldn’t change it for anything else.

Can i just say that if you are thinking of using freesat that's buit in it works but there is no tv guide. Only the freeview play has a electronic tv guide so you may need a freesat box.

Never do manual panel mainteinance. Simply put your tv in standby and the tv does it by herself the short compensetion cicle. The manual one is the long one and usually start automatic After 2000 hours of use. Never use the manual one from the menu daily because you short the lifespan of the oled panel. Use it only if you esperience image retention or weird uniformity in your oled

Nice review! I am looking for good TV and Panasonic 55" TX-JZ980 is my favourite, do you have any comparison vs for example LG OLED55C1 or other brands? Picture, build quality, remote control, procesor.. i know that Panasonic don´t support some apps, but for me it´s not problem.

Except for limited, but, sure applications (Panasonic has almost 100 and LG has almost 1000 !), Panasonic dominates LG in most parameters (image processor, sound power, even connectivity), having - the height of the situation - OLED panel from LG (!), but, the software part is superior to Panasonic, image calibration courtesy of Steven Sonnenberg, Hollywood. To give you a concrete example: after almost 5 years, the LG OLED C8 already has, since 2020 (so after 2 years of operation), about 2 dead pixels (green), which appear, sporadically, in 2 screen places; what bothers me the most is that LG has failed to fix major screen issues such as "burn in" through horizontal streaks at the bottom (in the area of the titles and bezel) as well as traces (retentions) of some TV station logos. I have tried since I bought it to give it screen maintenance and pixel cleaning all the time, but, to no avail. Being out of warranty, I couldn't exchange it for another one. 😢 Unlike LG, the Panasonic OLED HZ2000 (bought in 2020) does not yet have any exposed problem, even at LG !! It performs flawlessly with no dead pixels, horizontal streaks (traces) or logos printed on the screen. 🙂 Conclusion: Panasonic and Sony play in a different league - higher - compared to Samsung, Philips, Hisense, TCL etc., they have technologies like Quantum-LED, OLED or mini-LED. What I can point out, up-to-date: the appearance of QD-OLED screens, at Sony and Samsung (with some improvements in the image spectrum and the amelioration of the "burn-in" phenomenon of the screen) and, the cherry on the cake 🍰 is the direct-LED technology, invented and already implemented by Samsung, being superior to all the others (including the already outdated plasmas), but, quite expensive at the present time. We'll see what happens next with all of these, plus more... 🤗📺

Very interesting I own a Panasonic hz1000 55 inch, the screen maintenance I leave it in standby mode that normally is sufficient . Do I need to carry out this exercise as well! 😎

On quite a few oled tv's there is a specific panel maintenance programme you can put it through which is what we would normally recommend

Never do the manual long maintenance . It short the lifespan of your panel. Only use it if you expirience uniformity isse or immage retention

@@BigNorm69 Nothing.. For now. Only avaible is in Germany and I'm from Croatia..Shipping is 130 euros, And If something goes wrong I would need to send it back on my expense.. Too much risk.. Plus prices is my country are running wild, everything got up at least 30% but my pay stayed the same.. So I will not get in any unnecessary expenses.. But I would take 980 any day vs c1..

@@R3nchi I can get it for €1200 where C1 is €1679. Just can't find anything about it online so I'm unsure. I understand completely about prices rising tho I'm in Ireland and things are same here, rn my tv is an old sharp tv 50" 1080p 60hz very standard, I upgraded to PS5 last year but haven't noticed any difference on it so feel it's time to upgrade to bigger and better but I want something good that will last on a budget too
