Actually point number 4 is one of the key issues we've been facing as people sometimes think we are a robust organization yet we've not grown that very big.

How would I go about hiring a program manager/ executive director for a ministry? I guess the right candidate would appear precisely on time.

You have your job description with all the expectations and benefits (salary range, any insurance support etc.) laid out already? If not - that's first.

    I do have a question, though…
    1. what would be the top 5 professionals to surround oneself with, as you go/start?
    2. I’ve applied to MANY nonprofits,
and I made it personal, did my homework, basically did the steps… and I’ve come to the conclusion I don’t have the skills/prerequisites, perhaps, because… I want to help, be a change maker, create my own and collaborate with others local orgs (wherever it may be), but I’ve been disappointed at the fact that I believe that I have something to offer, if nothing I want to be part of people who drive a positive change… but the hiring process has always been smooth, til they find someone else… any tips on what aspects of a nonprofit we can learn/study in, that’d be a strong asset for a nonprofit?
At this point I’m going back to school, for continuous learning so that when I go back on my rounds of applying, (or creating mine), being confident in my abilities, expertise, experience and skills to really incorporate a team.
You have mentioned soft skills… but on a more practical side… what could be useful to study, in order to come with added value in order to drive growth?
    Thank you in advance Amber❤️

It depends on the role you're applying for! Fundraising experience is a top skill, highlight any volunteer experiences with other nonprofits too; and knowledge of the issue area helps as well.
