I always loved the 230/280 SL Mercedes. Bob and Peter truly preserved the timeless beauty of this 280 while at the same time making it a very personal example.
Excellent video, beautiful shots of the Mercedes, and a wonderful compilation of the project. Congratulations to all who were involved in this project resulting in a stunning masterpiece on wheels!
Fantastic video. Looks (almost) as good in the video as it does in real life! Pops - So many people to thank for getting this project to completion but you did an excellent job. What an amazingly productive way for a father and son to stay connected. Between the thousands of phone calls, busted knuckles, lost parts and terrifying Mercedes classic center bills, the community and friends met along the way really made this happen. To those mentioned by my father, thank you again. I hope to some day pass along what we’ve learned from you to someone else... So proud of this and of you, Dad. Enjoy it!
Thank you Peter. Your Dad was such a joy to work with on this video. I really enjoyed spending that time with him. You guys found some of the best in the business to delegate portions of the project to. The ability to orchestrate all that attention to detail was quite an accomplishment!
That's awesome. I had a '58 300SL back in the mid 70's. Needed to be restored, but I got to drive it around for a while...I sold it, like a stupid 19 year old would do.
Wow identical to mine everything apart from mine had black interior and black soft top 🤣🤣 I had a 230SL before my father bought it for me when I won boxing competition of Great Britain the UK. Promise me pagoda if I won competition he just turned up with a blue one lol think I was 18 years old or bit younger. Got the bug loved them to deaf and wanted a 280 pagoda and went bought red one off my brothers mate. Had it 25 years sold it I had so much fun in that car night clubs women the girls loved it pussy catcher omg people used to stopped me on it all the time even the police drove mad over it in a nice way I do miss it. I will get another when I move again with a garage 100% a sky blue metallic one or Silver 280 must be 70-71 car for me
