One thing i have observed from common Indians to policy makers is that they don’t want to give up on Kashmir is because of 1) politics in mainland India 2) ego Everybody here knows that we lost the war in 2016 and Kashmir went out of our hands for ever. Well brother I understand that you all want independence from all the policies that takes away your kashmiriyat from you. And a lot more Indians are with you on this. We know how this government and RSS is . A lot of us hate them ( including me) . And even we want independence from these (RSS specially) . But do you think so that getting separated from India will solve your human rights issues brother. China and Pakistan are waiting for something like that. This is what they want cause they will show that they love but in reality it's politics.
What I believe is in Kashmiris should get a native kashmiri ( truthful one) to represent them in the country and talk for their basic human rights.
I personally don't think independence will bring back the same Kashmir cause our neighbours won't let it happen. The Same thing will happen what happened in 1962( china war) and 1965(if I'm not wrong) the war that led to POK. Maybe I'm wrong in your eyes cause I can't think like a Kashmiri cause I've not been in that situation. Forgive me if I hurt your feelings anyhow. It's just I love Kashmir and don't wanna lose. Neither do I want to hurt the people. But I guess let's work for a better future, the Hindu Muslim ( sibling rivalry) should not let a part of this country become hell from heaven. ♥️

In year 2019, I was in hostel, (JSU Shopian) we used to listen this masterpiece every day with my friends, it was like anthem of our hostel when we were entering in mess, everyone was singing it so louder, at that time it was good song for us but after leaving the hostel it become emotion for us.
