I kept "pressing pause" because they told me to and I'm still waiting to see the end of this film today 10 years later

This is a courtroom. This is where bad people go when they steal other childrens sweeties. Here, the bad children will have to explain their behaviour to the judge (who is like the head teacher of the law). If the courts find that they were stealing sweeties because their mummies didn't feed them, then their mummy will go to jail. If instead we find that they were stealing sweeties because they're just nasty little shits, they will go to jail, which is like a big naughty corner that you can't leave until we are confident that you're ready to be good.

I believe there are 3 possible court decisions in Scotland ; , Guilty, ; Not Guilty (and NOT Proven which means that if more evidence arises later on then the accused could be arrested & charged again .) and only in Scotland.

Not proven meant you couldnt be tried for the same offence, however after 2011 there is now 3 exceptions to double jeopardy anyway
. If you admit guilt after the case, if new evidence arises, and where there is evidence that the aquital was tainted, I.e interference.

i dont feel comfortable with my name being called out when Darren is sitting there lol. What a ridiculous system, I would rather not respond to the jury citation and keep myself and my family safe.

The person talking over this sounds like she's explaining it to 3 year olds.

They should get rid of the whole wig thing. Is very outdated and really serves no purpose in 2017 other than to intimidate folks already nervous to appear. Surely just to be smartly dressed would still do the job. Everything' changes with time, so should this. Have modern courts for modern issues.. they ain't sending people to stocks no more, getting pelted with rotten veggies on the wayo

The wigs don't suit the times . It's ludicrous . But still they put them on .

They put on the wigs because that’s what you do in theatre or pantomime, dress up to play a part! “The world is a stage” - Shakespeare
