    Anyone else have a lot more success with squid Vs worm guard? This looks super effective and the concept is pretty simple!

      I do. Easier to set up, and it plays well with cross guard which is cool 😎

      @@dakotamckinnon5511 I actually have easy more success with worm now! Squid is easier to setup but I have way more options from worm. I need to learn more stuff from squid 🐙

      Ruben, i've tried both, but i allways get a leg lock on the leg that is IN the guard. Any advise?

    • @RubenBJJ96
      @RubenBJJ96 2 роки тому

      @@ulisess.1278 Straight ankle lock? You need to either learn to defend the attack or sweep before they do it I think mate

    I am too masculine to play any lapel guard, but could a less manly man go to the matrix from the inverted squid? Like a Neo Squid?

      Yeah, he gets there at 4:01. Basically, stay tight and use the pants grip to stack your opponent when you finish the sweep. This limits your opponent's ability to bring the unwrapped leg into the fight and push you away. This definitely helped me, both with respect to stapling my opponent's knee to my lower stomach to initiate the position and then the aforementioned tips to stay tight when completing the sweep.
