This video convinced me to go get Oakensoul. I gave this build a shot and wanted to say I absolutely LOVE it! I just cruised through Skyreach, even the bosses for the daily just for fun. Had a couple "oh shit!" moments where my health bar was down to a sliver, but I still bounced back to full health once my character stopped stumbling around. I have about 870 CP, so this is an awesome build, even for lowbies.
@HackTheMinotaur I love the build, could you PLEASE update this. They nerfed the Oakensoul ring, could you give us an update to this "God-Tier Templar" build? I personally LOVE it.
Needed this. I took a break for almost a year after I got burned out on ESO after playing religiously almost daily for a year and a half, just started playing again today and didn’t realize just how outdated my build was 😅
Funny, I just skipped to the gear setup and saw I was already using those exact same sets ^^ Deadly is just awesome for boosting Puncturing Sweeps, especially after Update 35 hit. It gives you massive damage before even putting down AoE and DoTs, really nice for quickly clearing out a small group of trash mobs. I still like to fall back to a dual-bar setup when doing certain world bosses though, Iceheart can be an absolute lifesaver. Tip: if you're playing as Breton, you could swap out the lightning staff for dual daggers (or dagger and sword). Just be sure to put Absorb Magicka enchantments on them, because sustain might be somewhat difficult.
Channeled Focus doesn't seem very useful since Oakensoul already provides Major Resolve. I go with Simmering Frenzy in that slot because Vampire works really well on a heal-heavy build, but for the mortals out there it's also a good slot to put Radiant Glory without sacrificing your damage. I also use Blazing Spear instead of Solar Barrage for PvE. Barrage's tick damage is negligible and Oakensoul already gives Empower.
I run the same gear with two fighter's guild skills (Dawn Breaker & Barbed trap for 6% more damage). I run Radiant Glory, Sweeps, Blazing Spear, and Solar Barrage. I keep my companion set up as a tank.

Nice one. One thing I particularly like about this, is you are not chugging potions for the major sorcery buff. I've converted all my Templars to ranged operators. Lightning staff. Power of the Light - reflective light - solar barrrage - beam. They all seem to work well together. Sweeps are now secondary.
@@Grobloum Hi - Solar Barrage provides Empower when activated. Although it only pulses when enemies are in range, it remains active out of range. This is identified by a series of very small "fireflies" buzzing around your character. Although Hack's build here is Oakensoul with Empower permanently built in, I should have stated that I am focusing on a 2-bar set-up with what I talk about above. My apologies.
