  • App Layering is a great way for customers with multiple images of the same OS to reduce their application management and patching overhead and to centrally manage images across hypervisors and public clouds. By separating components of an image into distinct component layers (OS, Platform, Apps, User) and allowing customers to flexibly push images to different platforms (all major hypervisors, Azure, VMware Cloud on AWS, GCP), App Layering increases operational efficiencies in image inventory management. Furthermore, Elastic Layers allow less common apps to be chained to Citrix VDAs reducing image sprawl, and User Layers help solve the “Persistent VDI” challenge for many customers.
In this webinar, we will discuss the deployment of App Layering in Microsoft Azure, differences from on-prem hypervisor deployments, and key design considerations for maximizing capabilities and minimizing pitfalls.
Join Jeremy Ingram, Technical Architect at Ferroque Systems, and Rob Zylowski, Sr. Solutions Delivery Architect with Citrix Consulting, to discuss the leading practices for App Layering in Azure, lessons learned, general product updates and recommended practices.
