Thanks for the video. It'd be interesting to see how well Te Reo could be be written in Hangul (Korean characters). Hangul is fairly unique in that it was a scholarly effort to formalise phonetics of spoken Korean. Many of the vowel and consonant-vowel (joins?) are similar in sound to your descriptions.
