Glorious.🍀 In our darkest times we pray to God to give us a sign, to show us hope, to deliver us home, to end the pain. One day after such a call to God, this happened to find me. The impact of the song need not be described. Sibeal gives new meaning to the word, angelic.
I don't understand a single word and yet it feels like something it's ripping my heart out of my chest. I guess there's something very magical and mysterious about music, it's like a kind of universal language, which is understandable to anyone who wants to hear, listen and understand.
What a special young lady, brings out all the emotions, love and pride for our beautiful culture and country.....IRELAND....🇮🇪
She sings, like the history of her Mother of centuries of pain, a quiet anger and her beauty of the promise of her future.
Unreal isn't it Is it any wonder we Irish pride ourselves on being different to the rest ,we are different our small island has produced way too many important people worldwide , it's amazing
Wow, what a BEAUTIFUL voice from a beautiful young woman ❤
Translation
I am Ireland:
I am older than the old woman of Beare.
Great my glory:
I who bore Cuchulainn, the brave.
Great my shame:
My own children who sold their mother.
Great my pain:
My irreconcilable enemy who harrasses me continually…
Great my sorrow
That crowd, in whom I placed my trust, died.
I am Ireland:
I am lonelier than the old woman of Beare.
Beautifully done.
Oh my God, that was gut-wrenchingly beautiful. I am stunned by how powerful *and* delicate that performance was.
Every time I hear and watch this, the tears flow. Such a pleading, longing, moving song. ☘☘☘☘
I rarely leave comments, but I am rarely moved so much by one single piece. I'm not sure words can portray the array of emotion I feel on hearing this. The singing the language the patriot that wrote this poem, the men and women who delivered (most of)Ireland from oppression.
Alan Ó Cléirigh stunning
thank you for this heartfelt beautiful piece of music. beautiful composition but there is a purity in this girls voice that moves beyond words.... the world needs more of this beauty
Heartbreakingly Beautiful ....💔
What a voice and shes beautiful.
I got to play this in my high school orchestra, with her singing it. Absolutely stunning voice.
My favorite part is how she looks extremely nervous but has a voice of gold ❤️
It's outstandingly beautiful.
J'ai les larmes aux yeux, merci, c'est magnifique.
Stunning so gentle yet powerful and moving
Beautiful
Well done Sibeal! that was beautiful.
I can't help shedding a tear when I hear this piece. The emotion in something else.
Never has a piece of music made me feel like this.
‘MIse Eiru’ the words of the Goddess Eiru at Uisneach, heard many centuries ago by a woman who dared to repeat them.
Stunning voice and outstanding performance. Bravo!
Haunting and so beautiful
this is truly beautiful
Don't ever change in any way. Absolutely beautiful and stunning; for sure.
Stunning performance!

Excellent,
beautiful
I realy hope She keeps singing
Pretty irish and great voice
beautiful, haunting and emotional...
The combination of music, musicians ,arrangement and singer creates an atmosphere of pure magic and mystery. Well done all involved.
unbelievably beautiful
Written in 1912 by Pádraig Anraí Mac Piarais, four years before his execution.
This would make a lovely anthem when Ireland is finally united.
Patrick Pearse and his Catholic band of radicals have ensured that Ireland cannot be united unfortunately.
The country is changing. So should you.
TheMATTYB1234 what do you mean?
TheMATTYB1234 you are a right fool
Dae Dalus You lost the war! Stop crying! Man up!
Beautiful, haunting, sublime. Well done to all involved
This just gets better every time I listen to ot
Excelente.
Just as everything Irish I've come to expect - more beautiful than all others but with none of the same respect, t'was ever thus.

+Micheál Ó Braonáin Thanks!
beautifully PROUD To be Irish
Dia dhuit! Absolutely beautiful song and the Centenary concert was both magnificent and emotional.
I visited Dublin last year, fell in love with the place and I'm yearning to go back there. Such a wonderful city, it's beautiful parks, the atmosphere and the people were really nice and welcoming.
Some part of me stayed in Ireland and I took a part of Ireland with me.
Happy and peaceful Centenary Ireland, I will return one day!
+Eeva Ilveskero Delighted for you that you had such a nice time. Thanks for the kind words.I hope you have another great experience here when you return. Slainte

will langton I've actually have red this before, but never known or checked that it was by Yeats, and it's quite beautiful and sad at the same time. Thank you.
Fantastic go raibh maith agaibh go Leir
Bravo.
Heard this 8 days ago on the radio.Stunning. Haunting .Amazing..
+Gerard Hayes I can just imagine the faces of John British Bruton, Ruth Ugly Edwards or Kevin Pliers Myers if they listened to this beautiful Irish song.On the other hand they might finally realise they just dont belong here.
+Stoney Burke That is pathetic nonsense...maybe YOU dont belong here ???
Chills....its the only way to explain her voice and the feeling.
the reason why he mentioned them is because thay are anti-everything that was done in order to try to achieve Irish independence between 1916-1922
Quite possibly they are Unionists, that is a legitimate position to hold,if the vast majority of the Irish people were Republican in 1916-1922 ..the war would have easily been won...most likely the majority were as they are today...sheepish ,lazy and accepting of the status quo...that is why the Brits were here for 800 fucking years....
Definitively perfect. THIS is REAL MUSIC! THIS is SOUL! THIS is IRELAND! I wept and wept the first time I heard it. I'm still listening to it over and over again and sharing it. So very sad, and yes so very true.

Gó raibh maith agat. I've probably spelt that wrong. oh what an amazing hauntingly stunningly beautiful version. It gave me goosebumps
Áine your spelling is spot on
Your spelling was flawless, as Elaine Mcdonald has already kindly pointed out, but on top of that, your accentuation was *excellent*.
We Irish love the auld fáda 😄
Aine, as Elaine said, you're perfect in your spelling. Good job.
Go rev mah ah gut.
Tá mé ag caoineadh. Is aoibhinn liom ❤️
Hauntingly beautiful and because I’m third generation American, I never learned the language unfortunately.
❤❤❤ EIRE FOREVER ❤❤❤
Beautiful .
Her voice compels me to ask for her hand; still her voice condemns me to solitude.
Yea, the voice of an angel may be heard by all man;
Tho an angel herself may never be thether'd un't'one man.
The voice of an angel is sacred: shared to all; held by none. And, yet
Some lucky one may be the one:
To see an angel, from the heavn's above, brought to our poor ground,
And be in rapture of her pure sound.
Tho I am no poet, no laureate, no speaker of wise words;
I do hope this text will show me to her.
This is for the whole planet Earth. We're Irish and we welcome you all.
Go halann níor feidir leat níos fearr na Seo a fáil,coimeád é suas ☘️♥️

Táim díreach i ngrá lena guth...
Is such a pity Protestants in the North regard the Irish language as a nuisance. It is as much theirs as it is ours. Indeed many great Irish Protestants fought to save it. What happened that they turned their backs on the country that raised them. I hope when the country is united the realise that it's now our time.
