I remember when I was 12 stan walker and the other Australian idols came to the children’s hospital I was staying at. I was really sick and he sang with me and it made me feel so happy and special. Stan if you see this thanks for that. This cover is incredible
Stan walker is a great human being,he had a hard up bringing,he was physically beaten by his dad,he was abused in different ways by some of his relations & on TV his said he forgives his dad & his relations & that he loves them very much,hes had half his stomach removed but hes not upset or angry at what life has dealt him.a great person,a great son,& a great Kiwi & man can that boy sing,I take my hat off to him,I dont know if I could be so forgiving,so full of love for his whanau & love for life,for me he's the best male vocalist in NZ. Rossco was a calm cat man, I can tell you he was a hard scrapper who could put any man on the deck, dudes would challenge him quite often whether they were Maori or Pakeha. Stan Walker won the final Australian Idol competition. He and Guy (first winner) were both brilliant. I can't understand why no-one appears to have done as much to mentor Stan. He should be up there with Guy by now. Love them both.
