- Following the dramatic, eight-run comeback the night before, the Royals looked to keep things rolling with Alec Marsh on the mound. Marsh turned in a solid effort, matching a season-high with 8 strikeouts over 5.0 innings before turning it over to the bullpen. Salvador Perez got the Royals on the board in the bottom of the 1st inning, immediately answering the Mariners opening-inning run. Adam Frazier homered to put the Royals ahead before the Mariners would bounce back with a couple runs to take the lead in the 5th. Adam Frazier came through again, doubling to lead off the inning to set up Nick Loftin to drive him in. Vinnie Pasquantino would cash in with a two-run double to put the Royals up for good, and Kyle Isbel would drive in three runs in his final two at-bats to create some distance. The Royals bullpen continued their strong stretch in relief of Alec Marsh, shutting down the Mariners in the final four innings and giving the Royals a series win with a chance for a sweep.

I hate to break it to you but there’s way more than 7. Salvy, Bobby, Garcia, Vinnie, Fermin, MJ, Isbel, Blanco, Singer, Marsh and McArthur just to name a few.

If Velazquez can hit for decent power like he has been the last couple of weeks, and Massey can stay healthy, this is a really good lineup.
Right now it’s very top heavy. Garcia, BWJ, Vinnie, and Salvy are pulling a lot of weight.

Renfro and Frazier are starting to wake up too. Massey will be gone for 3 or 4 weeks. Bubic I think still has a month left as well as Wacha. Now only Melendez has to start hitting. Royals in good shape. They played some division leaders lately...Indians, Mariners, plus Yankees and Dodgers coming up. If they can hold on the rest of June, in July the schedule gets much easier
