LISTENNNNNNNN!!! what you said about batching content is literally the VERY thing that I try to explain to people! Like omgggg , the energy be off and the energy does not lie! I literally thought I was the only person in the world that felt this way 😱
Oooh I love this!! I can do a video on this!! 💗💗 I feel like give each piece of content/style 3 times & if it’s not working, throw it into ChatGPT and ask it why they think it’s not performing!
I’m at work watching this because I have a burning desire to grow my UA-cam Channel and add so much value to others. I love your UA-cam channel and I am so grateful for all you do for all of us who are just trying to figure it out.
I actually really needed to hear that “less is more” mindset. I’m starting my scientific career while also growing my UA-cam and Substack so I’ve had soooo many ideas. I then had the brilliant idea to ALSO bump up to 2 weekly videos on UA-cam and lowkey started burning myself out this month trying to do every single thing 😅 I’ve simplified my approach and can literally feel my shoulders backing away from hugging my ears

Omg I'm SO glad I'm not the only one who's not a batching and scheduling type creator!! 😭 I don't have a 9-5, but I like more of the flexible structure aspect. I have YT, IG and a podcast for my new brand, so my content feels more fresh when its not batched. I thought I was a literal weirdo 😅
I don’t work a 9 to 5 job but I’m a stay at home mom so I’m pretty much working all around the clock lol especially at times like this when my husband is overseas for work (military). I don’t have a dedicated mom channel so I’m generally doing most of my content around my kids’ schedules. Your advice has been so helpful! Thank you so much for what you do, girl. Love it here. 🫶🏾
This resonated with me so much!!! As a full-time 9-5 girlie and building a UA-cam channel for the past two years! I probably cry daily from burnout hahaha! I truly need to build a process!!! Thank you for this!!!
i’m not a corporate girly but i love your focus on mental health for content creation! your approach and mindset is so inspiring and reassuring at the same time, i could listen to u talk about it for hours❤
I have a similar feeling about leaving my full time job as a professor. I could have stayed longer saved money and had less pressure to grow my own business sustainably and sanely 😅
I would love to see a vlog playlist that includes your very first ones. I am always curious as to how creators start out and progress over time. It's really inspiring for those of us first starting out. And thank you for all the gems in this video!!
I work 9-5, single mom and have a small business. What helps me is weekly to do lists.. i do the same things over and over every week. For my small business, i can only manage to do a reel a week. The rest of my focus is on my 9-5 and home life. And the batching energy is so true.
I SO feel you with the Albert Einstein reference 😂 I feel like it’s so hard to know if it’s not working because it’s not working or because I just need to stay consistent and build up that trust factor.
I can add this into a vlog! I use the Samson microphone but I do a TON of after-production filters/tweaks & curves to the audio to make it sound crisp!
Tess, I needed this entire video! Thank you! I work a 9-5 as a therapist but I am also personal branding as a therapist, writer, and speaker on socials. I had to start over on IG due to my first account getting compromised. I realized that I feel burnt out on IG even though I like the app. But I feel so boxed in on IG as I have a lot to say. And I have been gravitating to creating more long form content. I seem to have more audiences on LinkedIn and UA-cam. I needed what you said about testing things out and not pushing yourself too hard. It’s okay to not post 24/7.
ATP Tess lives in my brain. * me thinking to myself * I wonder how I could XYZ better....72hrs later, here's Tess with a video answering my question LOL
Love your channel! Finding so much value here. One question: when you started busy blooming, did you start a new BB only IG, or did you just start posting different content on your personal IG? I’ve started a new YT specifically for my brand, but should I start a fresh IG?
When you mention the desperate energy that some people give off when they're all in on content creation, it's definitely palpable. I notice many influencers hem and haw, saying umm and pausing a lot, before the sell. It's hard to watch.
love your videos! I found them recently and they have been helping me organize my thoughts and feelings towards growing my social media a lot! the cringe from co-workers is sooo real! I try to control myself and turn it into an opportunity to get constructive criticism or just simply feedback "thanks for supporting my work. what kind of videos do you like and I should make more?" it's almost like a business meeting haha girl, I have been doing the social media game for a LONG time. it's been 8 years since I started posting on instagram as a fashion account and the growth has been ridiculously slowwwww. These past 5 years I have been taking it very seriously and still no results. I post everyday, I focus on instagram, youtube and tiktok. I keep learning about the best ways to do it (hashtags, stories, reels, etc) but nothing really does a difference. So I'm thinking it must be the content itself...but that is harder to evaluate myself, specially without destroying all my self confidence at once. Any suggestions?
Ah thank you so much, I'm so glad!! 🥹 The co-worker cringe is SO real! I would throw in your content to ChatGPT & ask if there's any suggestions while explaining your vision/mission for content and your brand!
@@TessBarclay I actually did that after watching your video! it said the same tips everyone preaches, but it also gave some great ideas for content I can't wait to try! I'm still learning how to get specific interesting answers from chatgpt

RIGHT!! The girls who get it get it!!
Not a single lie
I never know if what I’m doing “doesn’t work” or if it’s just about persistence
Honestly same and it kils mee
might be worth it to pay for someone to review your content and give feedback :)
same here :(
