There's a pretty stark difference in "doesn't care about what people think" and being insecure about your success vs someone else's. Rochy he's not a sellout. Hes made collabs with artists who are also not sellouts. Compared to other DJs he's actually not a "I play what people want to hear" type of guy. And his work is much more unique than just using a damn laptop like the rest. People just want cliche drops and distorted basslines
