I had never used a ceramic grill before, but I like it a lot. It is heavy enough to be stable and light enough to move around. A bigger version would be pretty difficult to move around.
For this one it is using a small amount of charcoal but not enough to get to an extreme high/searing temperature. Let the charcoal burn all the way out. This is supposed to "cure" the fiberglass liner on the top and bottom as I understand it. And then check/retighten the bolts and screws after the initial "curing" and then it is supposed ready to cook on. Hope this helps.
I have the original ceramic grill, The Big Green Egg and it’s a great grill but in most emergency situations and SHTF occasions it’s just not practical, my Big Green Egg weighs about three hundred pounds and has a stand with wheels. Even the small one like you have is too heavy to carry. Ok around the house but it’s a patio cooker or maybe car camping and not the best for that even.
Looks like a knock off of a Big Green Egg in many ways. Probably much cheaper in price. As an egg owner, I suggest the natural lump charcoal and never use lighter fluid to start coals...the natural lump tastes way better started in a chimney.
Get a charcoal chimney/pipe igniter throw your coal in it set a natural firestarter on your grill light it up put your chimney ontop 5 minutes you'll be rolling coal and youll never turn back
Not during the crisis moments, but during the calm times it will be fuel efficient, use charcoal-one of the longest lasting and easiest and safest fuels to store and will allow long, long cooking times. Just my thinking.
He didn’t cook steak. If you’re referring to the salmon fillets, he intentionally left the skin on so it would cook up really crisp. The skin is dark colored and the meat looks dark due to the marinade.

Looks like a nice grill for a one person as myself or two without firing up a big one👍I'll have to wish for one👍
It is nice and a bit expensive.
I definitely want one. The ultimate in bbq and smoke cooking. I always wanted a ceramic grill for it's cooking properties. It's worth it's weight.

That’s an awesome grill.👍🏻
I think so too!

Good combination, BLT with a nice cold Corona. Can you share what kind of marinade you use for your salmon? Great video.
Soy sauce, brown sugar, onion, garlic, ginger, and water. It is Mrs. Chef Prepper's recipe. It was really good.
Will be trying. Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend.
50 pounds is too heavy for me.I am disabled. It looks cute but too heavy
I have the same issue. I’d love to have one otherwise and will definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new grill.
It is kinda heavy and might need to be permanently placed for some folks.

I have never had a Big Green Egg, but seems to be similar from what I can tell.
I will try the lump charcoal. Thanks
It looks cool but that's half my weight. I wouldn't be able to pick it up & move it.

Turkey bacon?
Yes I forgot to say that in the video
Didn't see how he did the bacon nice crew but awful heavy for me to lift
Comment for algorithm
Always appreciated.
@@ChefPrepper and as always, yrw
You had me until you started cooking plants.... nice grill, though.
Not very realistic in a shtf situation

Poor steaks, burned to hell.

Cyndajo below is correct. It was red salmon with the skin on and marinated.
